  • Just came from Hannibal MO where Cafferty was to perform and it was rained out. John and some of the other guys that were also to play at the concert met with the public in a small rooom and signed autographs. I got to talk to him and get to shake hands with him and talk with him, Interestingly he said he never watched these movies, just did the music. Nice guy to talk with.

  • There will never EVER be another Bruce springsteen,We love you ''boss'' Bruce Springsteen 4eva! I love you bruce !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • one of the most bad ass under rated songs ever.

  • My baby-boy - now 30 -- was once in a ""Heavy Metal Band"". Band used to practice at my house (( my poor neighbors)) BUT on my 50th B-Day (6 yrs. ago). The 'Band' played this song for me. No Sax --- just a screaming 'git-tar' in it's place. Although '''they''' were heavy-metal, I once told them -- you have to learn to play ALL genres -- If you want to """Master""" One. They did get some ""air time"" -- but TRAVEL TRAVEL - TRAVEL TRAVEL ----CAUSED THEM ALL TO SEEK OTHER CAREERS.

  • @tsprague1 -- I'm 56 -- so I 'grabbed' both movies and soundtracks from release. I remember -- this part of the movie well!! My sons are 32 - 30 -- Both have heavy - Tats and piercings (((usual listening is "Metal")))-- BUT THEY both jam to ''BOTH'' Soundtracks -- Good music is just good music -- At almost ALL POSTS FROM THESE 2 MOVIES --- There is nothing but positive comments--- AGAIN -- words and music!!!!!

  • i love it i sing it all the time when i working

  • I love this song. Dad had this album when I was a kid.

  • dad had good taste in music

  • 1st concert i ever saw at king's college in wilkes -barre pa........................john cafferty is my favorite of all time

  • its anywhere you put it , dont seek conventional note following, this is just a blues riff , anykey you play it , . . .

  • this song has one of the greatest guitar solo's you could have...both of my favorite movies and i can recite both movies from start to finish...John Cafferty and The Beacver Brown Band is on of the best in history of rock and roll!

  • it would be awesome if someone made a how to video for this song

  • @andy78624 I've worked out some of it, still trying to figure out some more of it, but I can tell you that it's in the key of C, and he's all over the neck with it. When I get it figured out, I'll try to get something posted.

  • @midnightwolf313 thanks man i am thinking about playing this song when iget a band together

  • @MrLippa22 You cant play the solo w just tabs, it takes feel and heart

  • @MrLippa22 go on vanderbilly's sight there is a vid on how to play it

  • is this where Iron maiden got the name uncle eddie is becuse of this guy??

  • I was around the age of 6 in 1987 when I saw the first movie and I went and saw the the sequel at the movies in 1989 I remember that I actually thought that the movie was a true story it sucks that it was fiction but it is still one of the best movies ever made

  • TO the ones that do not like it do not listen but to the fans...This is the best movie every made for the time era,and the music is amazing. Micheal Pare is such a great actor!

  • Oh please. Don't get me wrong, I love this movie, I've seen it 4 or 5 times, but Michael Pare is a terrible actor. The music is what makes this film, plain and simple. The acting and plot were laughable.

  • This is so COOL!Jst Luv this Song!U Take care.Thx for Posting!

  • this is real music. but 83? i wasnt even born!

  • ^_^..thanks my friend

  • this is the all time best music...

  • a few years ago i got to see john caferty play on main street in my home town durning a street fair, and it was realy cool to see him and him and the band play, the sax player was so awesome his sound was so tight and i could feel the blues and the that hot jazz sound comming out of his playing

  • John cafferty came to town this past weekend....this song was a rockin'.As did the sax player. They we're awesome!!

  • Well I don't know where all you were in '83 when 'Eddie and the Cruisers' was released, me? I was old enough :) .. fell in love with both music and movie....Was a little hesitant in '89 when they released 'Eddie and the Cruisers II (Eddie Lives)'... you know the sequels never compare, but I was greatly surprised and happy! ... I enjoyed it, both music and movie as much as the first... I almost dare to say I'd like to see a third. :)

  • lol yea I'm sure that happened!

(dont bother commenting back, I pre-blacklist idoits like you)

  • This is one of the Greatest songs I have ever heard

  • sure is. id like to sing this song lol. well i do in private for now but at a bar sometime lmao

  • Eddie and the Cruisers both 1 and 2 (Eddie Lives) are fictional movies that features the music of John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band .... and for the record, neither John Cafferty or Eddie Wilson Dies. End of first movie leaves u with the assumption Eddie died when his car went over the bridge. The 2nd movie is the story of how he had skipped out and was living under an assumed name for many years and finally makes somewhat of a come back, giving it the title "Eddie Lives" .... get it?

  • This is one of my favorite movies of all time

  • john cafferty is very much alive and on tour

  • reaally? I thought he died when his car went over that bridge.

  • Completely two different people. Eddie Wilson(fictional) and John Caferty.

  • well duh!

  • Well I thought that you thought they were the same because Eddie dies when his car goes over the bridge in the movie.

  • now thats some of the origanol rock there, play them bars man yyyyyyyeeeeaaaa keep it cool

  • you must be like what 50 years old lol

  • unless they can replace john caffertys voice ..no more eddie movies.. cafferty died, almost a year ago

  • fraid not cafferty lives and till plays these same tunes

  • AMAZING TUNE..... Great movie(s) Life don't get much better. Watched em back to back on the weekend and they still give me chills. EDDIE LIVES. NEW MOVIE PLEASE.

  • awesome tune ......!.

  • I wish John Cafferty release his own record with his own name...I can not seem to place his face with his songs because of the movie actor....

  • your right he did do soundtracks but in that era john cafferty was known vwery well by the listeners.. I.E. my parents. my mum an dad use to have this soundtrack and the movie was his fav... u can be thankful for that since it inspired the vid u watched!!^ much love!!
