  • Thanks Chris. the 10' whip makes a heck of a difference. Now if it would only stop rainning. :)

  • Ron,

Yes, the 10' whip does affect the slider settings on the loading coil. For 10 Meyers you need to adjust the whip accordingly. I have a MFJ antenna analyzer, so this is easy work for me.

  • How did the 10' whip effect the slider settings on your MP-1. With the regular whip it was resonant on 10 meters with the slider all the way to the bottom. Now, in that position it is resonant on 17 meters. Do you have to adjust the whip?

  • omg...chemtrails results on the sky :(

  • hehe wyobrascie sobie z takim batem na dachu jechać:D

  • How did you lay out your counterpoise for the MP-1?

  • In the video I used the grill as my counterpoise. Without it, I use 18GA wire laid out as straight as possible.

  • Hi Patrick,

I'm using a MFJ-1954 10' Telescoping whip, which makes a world of difference in your SWR in comparison to the stock 4' whip that comes with the MP-1.
