  • You can get to the Veldt at that point in the game? Wow, I didn't know that. I thought the Lete River would just take you right back to Narshe, like it does with Terra, Edgar and Banon.

  • I just finished this game a couple days ago, and didn't know about this glitch. Awesome!

  • how'd you do all that without getting into combat?

  • I have a little module loaded into snes9x that dynamically changes cheat variables while the game runs. Nowadays we'd just use Lua to do that, but before I wrote something custom in C.

  • Shadow: "I've worn out my welcome."

    You: "The fuck?"

  • I've worn out my welcome. Why did I even walk up to this town in the first place?

  • All these years later and I'm still learning new glitches in this game.

  • Put some sprint shoes on for god's sake man!

  • @XinKotetsu I think Gau was wearing the last pair available.

  • It might be possible to mimick this effect on the actual SNES. I would always keep Shadow in my party after Sabin and Cyan first team up by running from every encounter, so he doesn't randomly leave the party until the reach Barren Falls. Thus, it may be possible to do this right after the Kefka fight in Narshe.

  • Is this bug present in the GBA version?

  • @DeHackEd I didn't noticed the moogle (perhaps because I am accustomed to seeing one in the roster) but it HAD to be hacked, wasn't it? Because Celes makes Locke take off the Merchant clothes before saving her! :D

Still, sometime I wish that Locke kept the Soldier Uniforms and Merchant Clothes and changed into them by equipping an armor, just like Relm and Strago do when equipping the Moogle Suit (they turn into a Moogle themselves)! XD

  • There's a bug that lets you walk through an NPC. The player executes it to simply walk out of South Figaro, but first he stole the merchant outfit. Entirely for the lulz of course.

Celes never gets rescued, her character data never gets initialized, and it's still a moogle from the Rescue Terra minigame, and Locke is still in his merchant costume.

  • @DeHackEd Now, that's answer I was hoping for! Thanks for clearing my doubt! XD

This game WAS indeed glitchy... though it still was and is an excellent game!

    Thanks again!!! :D

  • Why is there a merchant on your party?

  • Because Locke steals someone's clothes for a bit of the plot, then the player decided he liked it so much he left South Figaro without changing back.

There's also a moogle in the character roster where Celes should be.

  • @DeHackEd I know about it, I know this game from start to finish because I have played it so many times... what I am saying its it was either hacked into it or a glitch in the game, because normally you CAN't keep those clothes on. When you rescue Celes, through the conversation Locke automatically takes off the Merchant Clothes.

  • I think you should edit out the castle scene and raft scene etc even if you had time left, because frankly nobody wants to watch those scenes as they have no important information relevant to this trick. :P

This was a cool trick anyway, I never thought of this before. XD

  • Personally i think you could've/should've trimmed out a lot more...i really didn't care to watch the entire 1,000 mile hike across the world. Not really criticizing...and yes, I know I can just skip forward, but I'm just saying...

  • Shadow leaves, Gau returns to the Veldt to live amongst the monsters, Terra's laid up in a slum motel with the magical hangover to end all magical hangovers, and the rest of the heroes are resigned to walking around in random directions within a rebel sympathizer's house.

Smooth road to world domination for the Empire, I'd say!

  • @VeryBoring Smooth. Very smooth.

@Youtube: The @ reply system sucks. I'm replying to a specific comment, not a specific person

  • @DeHackEd you were talking about me. I'm smooth as silk. I might hachoom sneeze

  • FF6's bad ending.

I've worn out my welcome...-game ends-

  • Anyone here know what happens if you use Shadow alone through the Zozo quest? Anything interesting? Does it lock up, or can it be done?

  • shadow is the best

  • Yeah man you get that tent. You own that tent.

  • He's worn out his welcome, and your game is over.

  • Wouldn't this video have been faster if you'd switched the sprint shoes to Shadow before having Gau leap? <_<

  • Yeah it would have. Hindsight is 20/20 and I didn't make a savestate. Oh well.

  • It was a random spur-of-the-moment thing. My RPG instinct took over and I opened a chest that wasn't out of my way. Besides, no encounters.

  • XD thats how i got mog's underwater dance thingy

  • Man, I hate it when I get this glitch.

  • You regularly take Gau on his own for veldt grinding without an airship?

  • Yeah, I figure it's fastest that way. =)

  • Lol

  • This is the Super Nintendo Version right? They don't look like Midgets in this one.

  • @wavepsychic They don't look like midgets in any of them.

  • @runnersdialzero33 Yes they do, in FFVI Advance they do look poorly did.

  • @wavepsychic Meh, I disagree.

  • @runnersdialzero33 Meh, I don't care

  • @wavepsychic Meh, fuck you. :)

  • @runnersdialzero33 Meh, No thanks

  • @wavepsychic Meh, fair enough.

  • Because you didn't read the description.

    ..

    Duh.

  • I would've also accepted "because I's just that awesome."

  • The bug is that this is actually possible to do in game. Also, have you ever heard of running?

DeHackEd just turned the encounters off for less annoyance. I think this is a hilarious bug, because this is the one thing the game designers didn't think of.

And how can people be buggy? Answer, plz.

  • The savestate I started from is also taken from a low-level run. Going through with 1 or 2 underleveled characters was not something I was looking forward to.

For the record, the hack doesn't affect encounters on the raft or trench. A lot of running away was was editted out. In Narshe you'll notice Shadow was down some health.

  • @GarlandFraser you are a moron

  • I love this game omg

  • Its an 11 minutes limit <_< 10:59 to be precise.

  • It's weird I don't remember any of that stuff. Had you not met Shadow earlier during the game? I didn't even know you can have him join your party after the 3 scenarios(guessing it's that part of the game)...and he still didn't even have a name.

  • If you wait even longer, you won't enter a name for Shadow until you're forced to when he's hired by the Empire late in the World of Balanced.

Right after the 3 scenarios, go ahead and hire Shadow if you really want to. Personally I don't, but if you want to execute the Shadow Leaves Your One Man Party then you need Shadow.

  • Yes, I'm sure the FF games were a challenge for the programmers. I just played FF IV and half the spells hardly ever work. It's like you would have to be a developer of the game in order to know which enemies they work on. It's better just to beat the snot out of the them instead of doing anything fancy. And what's up with steal? On the last dungeon I was still stealing Cure 1s with Edge. It's like, what's the point? They could have done some things better but overall they are fun games.

  • lol!

  • Did someone upload a video of this glitch on the GameBoy Advance version?

  • That's all for real, except for some editting out of long and boring stuff. Remember, South figaro is still occupied. Locke had to escape by stealing people's clothes. How'd shadow supposed to get out?

Okay, Shadow's a Ninja so it's not a fair question.

  • haha, nice.

  • Wow... never even thought of doing that. I absolutely love this game so much and if I could keep only 5 games to play forever this would be one of them.

Wouldn't it have been awesome if instead of freezing the game, it resulted in a much more elaborate continuance of the flashbacks and nightmare sidestory that Shadow has throughout the game?

Now if there was really a way to play legally as General Leo, and if Baron's "secret note" in the returners HQ actually did something... that'd be awesome

  • Wow, never've known this one before XD

  • Geez. I can't believe the programmers didn't think of that.

How did you get Shadow to join you there? When I went there he just said to leave him alone. Plus, he had already introduced himself.

I know a cheat that will change your main party member. One turns into Kefka (Or a moogle who's name starts with K who has 1 HP) (Kefka's model is also a moogle.), Wedge, and a player with no name, 0 hp, 0 magic, 0 level.

  • Did you already have 4 party members? He can't join if there's no room.

  • Doh, I wouldn't have thought of that.

  • holy shit, brilliant

  • LOL that was crazy.

  • theres glitch to get back to the first world when u are in other. In opera house u must go in other world and lose battle to a rat and when u wake u in first world

  • As I understand it, that bug only works in some specific version of the game, possibly the Japanese version.

If you want to see the bug list, which includes the entry for this movie, you can find it at gamefaqs in the FF3 section. No link because youtube sucks and won't even let the movie's publisher put links into comments.

    You got that, youtube!?!

  • This plays off my Kutan glitch kinda haha

I noticed the Locke sprite change that occurs when you do my glitch on your game, if you watched my video and did that nice work ^_^ Either way even if you didn't still nice work

  • XD

My, when you are playing and this happens, that would be a great confusion XD

  • Haha, very entertaining bug.

  • 9:25 was amazing. I didn't expect it would let you look at the menu with no characters in it!

  • It almost didn't. Any option which prompts you to select a character will cause the game to freeze up.

  • can you move?

  • No. Once you're without characters, you have no feet with which to move. Or something. You're stuck.

Don't do this unless you want to wreak your game. Or at least don't save.

  • just for future use,

    youtube's true limit is 10:59

  • ...Oh...

Well, that would've simplified my job. Too late now, and there's nothing important missing other than what decisions to make on the raft ride. But you'll figure those out. :)

  • Wow...a long process lol

  • hahaha awesome..that was some thoughtful thinking

  • No, it's in snes9x

  • Yes it is.

  • This bug owns. AWESOME BUGGING <3
