I served 2 tours of duty whilst in the British Army and we did not take sides. We were there purely as a humanitarian force not a peacekeeping force. On my final tour, the UN were taken over by NATO and our role changed and were able to bring stability and peace to our areas. The UN had a lot to answer for and tied our hands on things we thought we should be doing. We saw atrocities from all sides during our time there, some, dispicable and inhumane.
@foreverengland I couldnt agree more, i served there in 1994 under the UN on 'Op Grapple 4' and we could do nothing but stand by and watch, we returned from that tour feeling as though we didnt make any difference what so ever!

But who has ever found a high Quality of this footage. The 1001gen VHS copy really represents the document of my own time there.
