  • I just discovered Andrea, and already I have chills running throughout my body whole. I've found my inspiration to properly live <3

  • Art class-math class. Simple as that

  • Does anyone know what her tattoos stand for? Are they symbolic or just decorative? It made me wonder because I never noticed until this video that they are matching.

  • This reminds me that art is war.

  • fast or slow when she speaks her words hit me and i pump my fist involuntary...i believe this is a compliment coming from me how did she get so good?

  • It's beautiful how she breaths in gasps, Like she has something so important to say she can't slow down for a minute and take in a full breath.

Like The words are more precious than a lung full of air.

  • This is so inspiring.

  • "we have to create, its the only thing louder than destruction." The truth of this makes me want to cry.tb

  • seriously her intakes of breath really bother me.. it makes it hard to listen to what she's saying

  • @ChestyLaRue222 I think even the intakes of breath are full of passion, she can't stop them from being slightly loud and slightly ragged.

  • @TheJJettgirl

it's just distracting is all. i dont know how breathing can be 'passionate'. i still love what she's doing, don't get me wrong.

  • @ChestyLaRue222

Well if she doesn't breathe, she can't live & if she's living, she's gonna be breathing.

    do you prefer Andrea Morte?

  • She needs to get a book of her poetry published

  • @Kamraman26 She has!

  • @Kamraman26 she has books :) u can purchase them and CD's from Andreagibson . org

  • @i8alisha You should get her book "Pole Dancing to Gospel Hymns" published by Write Bloody Press! Probably the best $15 you'll ever spend!

    =D

  • this makes me cry every time

  • I love this women. She is amazing.

  • You should check out Sarah Kay. She's very soft spoken and delivers her poems in a different manner than a lot of other performance poets. That being said, I think some poets voices lend themselves to this "slam style" — which can really enhance the sounds that certain words make when paired together.

  • I agree, try rives. I love this poet tho, she is amazing!

  • that's because everyone is trying to be her. She's the best, but her cadence doesn't work for everyone.

    PS: Fuck Rives

  • but andrea has several new poems that are more soft-spoken, not the standard slam poem- but even more powerful-- like "the pursuit of happiness", "ashes", and "crab apple pirates".

    then again, i'm a die-hard andrea gibson fan so i'm a little biased. ;-)

  • gave me goosebumps

  • Beautiful.
