  • Elzhi's verse!!!!!!!!!!

  • Slum Village gets the best tracks!!!!!!!!

  • whats kiss of the dragon?

  • @unurtube a movie with Jet Li :)

  • J A Y D E E

  • I dont se you daft punk bitching about this like what you did on Kanye West stronger

  • Like if you listened before Kiss of the dragon but looked it up again after watching it. /trollface

  • dare i say this owns kanyes remake of harder better faster stronger?

  • @broyalwithcheese wrong song, but i totally get what you mean, this song is pretty sick.

  • you have the best nickname in youtube

  • @theloopmasta Totally agree

  • thank you finally found the song!

  • J Dilla and Daft Punk: Nothing better that that!!

  • @tmsunrise1234 Actually, this was Karriem Riggins who created this track for Slum Village. :o)

  • like if you listened to this without watching kiss of the dragon

  • if your speakers (or headphones) go low enough, this song has a whole other layer of depth with the deep full bass

  • The history of how this track came about is pretty interesting

Dilla (SV's producer) sampled thomas bangater for "Raise it Up" without clearance

Daft Punk found out and instead of pressing charges they asked SV to make this remix for free because "Daft Punk WERE FANS OF DILLA" and what he did during the 90's

  • @Thedarkpath43 FUCK YOU BITCH.

  • 26 people should feel the real "Kiss of the Dragon" !

  • @0Kitana0 They are producing French house, my cruise control loving friend..

  • this is insanity.. why haven't i heard this before?

  • Daft Punk is the chuck norris of music

  • @Jake39535 hahah nice joke. Yep, they are. :)

  • @Jake39535 sorry man, I meant to like it. :P

  • I really hated this track. This and the too long gonzolas thing were my too least favorite tracks on this cd.

  • Two duos from different musical genres have a misunderstanding over the use of a sample. Rather than a legal battle, Daft Punk and Slum Village came up with this unique and amazing remix. Respect and props to both DP and SV for being real with each other and getting something like this out there.

  • @PoPtheCat13 you put it the best way.....

  • Why did it have to end!?!

  • Dilla with the Midus touch.

  • wow this is awesome. i'm mostly an electro person and don't have a huge interest in hip hop but this is really nice.

  • Techno is a misused umbrella term. It actually refers to a type of electronic dance music from the 80's. How can Daft Punk be Techno?

  • Daft Punk is the OG of beats

  • Like this comment if you looked up this song after watching 'Kiss of the Dragon"

  • @Mazda6B6 yeah dawg!

  • Used to hate this remix ... couple months after, I fucking love it !

  • best quality ever xD

  • Happy Dilla Month, everyone!

  • @HoodstarMoTg007

i think you don't realize nobody cares about that movie, seriously

  • No offense to J Dilla fans but original is MUCH better.

  • @lownrgy No offense taken brah I got so much respect for both him and Daft Punk. Just dope to see a daft punk track that is fuckin bomb made into a sick hip hop beat.

  • @Nycetrees tbh I have no idea what you just said there.... bomb? sick? dope? so you like it or not?

  • Yeah ! Yeah ! What ! What !

  • DP is french house

  • i think some of u guys don't realize that this is in the movie 'Kiss of the dragon'

  • @HoodstarMoTg007 those people r missing out.

  • I used to think that shit was worthless ... How could'Ive thought that ! ! This is sick ! Respect

  • i think some of u guys don't realize that this is 10 years old (= way before kanye did it)

  • Dilla made the remix. Straight from Busy P's mouth.

  • This is not a disgrace, it was influenced by Daft Punk which automatically makes it cool. It's another good piece of music brought on by a great groups song. And besides, it's on the Daft Club album for a reason

  • awful remix...disgrace to the greatest duo in music history

  • @STiprincess which duo daft punk or slum village?

  • This is a really bad Remix

  • I've never liked this, and I was never convinced that Dilla made this even though people used to say it. It makes sense that he wasn't involved as you can hear Elzhi on the end and Dilla had officially left at that point. I love Daft Punk and Dilla, and I'm not surprised that Kanye was allegedly responsible for this garbage. Sloppy beat with horrible sounds.

  • @Stylus1997 This remix was done by Karriem Riggins, not Dilla.

But the thing is Dilla sampled from Daft Punk for Raise it up.

But he didn't know what it was and forgot where he got it from, cause he took it from a white lable.

Instead of sueing or whatsoever, Daft Punk asked 'em to do another track for their project.

  • @ysk1d Yeah I remember the story from an interview Daft Punk did around the time - Dilla sampled "Extra Dry" and didn't get it cleared so they just asked for a remix to square things off because they liked SV. The problem is it was labelled "Slum Village Remix" and therefore people were assuming it was Dilla without checking the liner notes - but you can clearly hear that he wouldn't produce anything that sounds like this. K Riggins is a great drummer, but his beats were shitty at this point.

  • yo kiss of the dragon track

  • It's like an older version of "stronger"

  • Pretty sure Dilla didn't touvh this joint, but Elzhi definitely comes hard.

  • if something has Daft Punk in it its perfect anyway!!!

  • omg i need this vinyl.

    $150 on discogs tho -_____-

  • If you don't like the song just close the window and move on, if you do, stick around and listen to some good music

  • boring version

  • kiss of the dragon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 20 people don't know where they at. Nuh-uh.

  • Anyone that hates on this is an idiot. And needs to learn about hip hop. The guy who produced the remix is one of the greatest hip hop producers ever!

  • @TheOowaoowa Kanye did it...

  • @TheOowaoowa Kanye did it.. your comment was missing a word "good" no one can eer rappify daft punk to make it sound good.

  • If You Dont Like Dilla Then You Are Very Mislead

  • @jessaraptor circle!

  • dilla flipped the shit out of Thomas's song...just sayin

  • this is not a remix

  • Ya'll sleepin! This remix is HOTT TO DEF!! No! It does not sound like the original! That's why IT'S CALLED AN EFFIN REMIXX! GET IT??? Is there any intelligent life left out there??? LOL

  • @KarmalBeauty Newer generation doesn't understand this. A remix is supposed to sound different. In essence, it's a new fucking song!

  • Where you at? UUH HUH?

  • did jay dee have anything to do with this? getting conflicting messages...

  • u fuckers are stupid this is some crazy electro soul that suburban yuppie hippster faggots cant understand so go back to doin x and dancin w/ glowsticks and jerkin to justin bieber you pop hop bitches

  • @Smoshfans112 I wouldn't call it a remix, just simply a song that sampled aerodynamic. I remember this song and I like it. I love Daft Punk though and this isnt a remix just a great sample.

  • @Smoshfans112

One day, as J Dilla was record digging for random samples, he came accross a bootleg recording of Thomas Bangalter's Extra Dry. Dilla figured that he was an obscure producer that no one had heard of, so he flipped the sample and created Raise It Up. Thomas Bangalter was quite aware of Jay Dee's amazing body of work, and was a fan, so all that he asked was that Slum Village remix one of Daft Punk's songs. They gladly obliged, and added their own groove to Aerodynamic.

  • @RckDtar

    You sound like Wikipedia speaking.

  • @RckDtar

    lol straight of the blog

  • its like they ehhhhhhhhh

  • tight! : )

  • tight beat

  • Just FYI: J Dilla did NOT produce this. The song is ill, don't get me wrong, but he left the group before this remix came out.

  • @lilsharkhunter correct, this was produced by Karriem Riggins.

  • Lol the original song sounded nothing like this. But hey, I LOVE IT

  • i like it

  • hmmm... interesting. Weird mash up but it came out well.

  • Lets stop arguing and listen to the damn music.

  • I need the instrumental version of this, any help?

  • @dagame81790 Do you mean the original? THe same but without the singing. Just Daft Punk - Aerodynamic

  • @kilmacow28 Not the origional, the instumental for this song. Including the drum kits and all.

  • @dagame81790 edit aerodynamic.. or try. :D

  • Techno is a broad statement when used by most people, so things can be techno and electro, or techno and house, you know, all toads are frogs, but not all frogs are toads kinda thing.

PLus who cares, it still is epic!

  • its nit fucking techno, its house/electroma

  • Check out the Neptunes remix of this song too... almost as good as J Dilla.

  • electro

  • Is there an mp3 of this without the lyrics? I want the backtrack so badly!

  • This shit was my theme music for so damn long!!

  • Epic remix =)

  • J Dilla made this shit.

  • @DNAhiphopper dont think he did mate...

  • i know what you mean. that shit ruins the song.

  • What song is the lyrics from?

  • I've been looking for this song since i first heard it.

My quest is over... I can rest in peace now.

  • this shit is better than the original one.

  • and assumed that the artist was an obscure techno producer, and was unlikely to find out. Bangalter and Guy-Manuel, however happened to be fans of Slum Village, and rather than demand a payment for the sample, instead asked to collaborate on one of their own tracks, which ended up becoming their remix of the song "Aerodynamic".

  • Daft Punk is NOT techno

  • electric?

  • No their music before Human After All was French House with other elements added to it. Human After All is more electro than french house.

  • trance = same fucking think with MINOR difference

  • @arod1122 definitely YES!

  • @Virus278 its no techno, its house

  • @mystery10605 you don't know shit

  • @mystery10605 nor house my friend!

  • @arod1122 you are right my friend

  • @arod1122 Thank you!

  • @arod1122 it is techno in so far as techno is a slang term for electronic music.

  • @arod1122 its house

  • @arod1122 HOO RAH, House music.

  • @arod1122 Daft Punk IS techno. You probably think deadmau5 is go- I mean, not house. Or that hardstyle is techno. GTFO 80 year old man.

  • @ilovekitten1 daft punk isnt techno dumbass. daft punk is french house

  • The song uses a sample from the song, "Extra Dry", by Thomas Bangalter (of Daft Punk). It was initially used without permission, as producer J Dilla obtained a copy of the song from a bootleg recording,

  • I'm still trying to get clear on this. Did Daft Punk remix their own song for Slum or did Jay remix Daft Punks song?

  • neither. Dilla created a beat from the same sample as this daft punk song, and they then agreed to put it on the Daft remix album. sort of a "two people invent the light bulb at the same time" scenario.

  • The latter

  • No, Daft Punk asked Slum to remix this song as repayment. Slum took one of Thomas Bangalter's songs and used it in one of his, but never credited Thomas for it.

  • free youtube converter

  • were can i download this

    plz help

    and thx

  • torrent, the complete daft punk discography.

  • This video sucks and its now about TRAINS

  • CLICKETY CLACK

  • HERE THEY COME

  • you mean the video or the song?

  • the story is:

When pedro winter (daft punk's ex manager) heard raise it up by SV (the joint sampled one of bangalter's tracks) he asked dilla to make a track for them.

  • aaw man so this was it, i've been lookin' for this for like eternity.

  • i wouldn't put this in the category of remixes. It's more like a new song with a sample of Aerodynamic. damn.

  • that's just the title of it.. it's from KISS OF THE DRAGON soundtrack

  • fuck youtube

  • Just came to this r.Mix through Kiss of the dragon... listend to the original song since years but this r.Mix is dooooope !!!! xD

  • hahahahahah

  • Jesus, aint' THAT the truth?

  • not to mention producing buckwheat boyz and being sampled by busta rhymes

  • On the same album this is on the neptunes also did a remix.

  • I really like this version of the song.

It doesn't even have the main beat of the song, but it really is a nice remix, and it holds it's own.
