  • Chas & Dave's version is far better than this..

  • Of course the original is better, but this is a great version and a major hit for Hugo when released. Billy Strange's version is also quite good.

  • ENNIO MORRICONE, COMPOSER. It ALL starts with the writing. He should be credited UP-FRONT and CENTER.

  • Hugo captured the optimism, vitality, and spirit of the 1960's in all his arrangements. It brings me back to an era that will never return.

  • @139547 You could not of said it any better. Hugo nailed it...

  • @spackhollogay..all right, you are entitled to your opinion, that being said, please go back to the "original's" site and don't let the door hit you on your way out..

  • pick up your gun try to shoot my colonel, just try lol

  • Better than original!

  • hugo montenegro is awsome amazing i used some of this great song in a sample in one of my rap songs him and his orchestra are infinite power .

  • BELA CANÇÃO,INSTRUMENTOS MARAVILHOSOS!!!!!!!!!!BRASIL

  • Αρκετά ψυχεδελικό.Καλό.

  • это действительно прекрасная музыка

  • death rides a horse. with Lee van cliff,is ganster.

  • Morricone's original sure is excellent, but I've got a thing for Montenegro's version : it's slick and I like the way it "flows" ...

  • It' s not the original but still pretty good .

  • @Icnon2 I agree, and it's such a good song that it's hard to mess up.

  • @FaceInTheRain

Indeed . My mother has one EP with this song . Good and rare stuff .

  • Another incredibly great film with incredibly great actors, great theme song as well. Thanks for sharing.

  • masterpiece exelent

  • piezota!!!!!!!

  • Male Valor!

  • Real, unique and revolutionary classic! Clint Eastwood, Gian Maria Volonte and Lee Van Cleef did a brilliant job. In this film you cannot find just good and bad guys which makes this film even more special. I always praise original films more but For A Few Dollars More was even better than original. Our modern so-called "blockbusters" look like crap compared with this trilogy

  • @Magnolia296 Trilogy? Is Hang Em High one of them?

  • @Beatle911 No ... Hang Em High is not from Sergio Leone. Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More and the Good, the Bad and the Ugly are the trilogy ...

  • I like it better than the original, especially the electric guitar.

  • The original Solid Snake.

  • This song also featured in a Finnish block-buster called "Häiriö".

  • Ennio's version is the better western piece, but this one's music is better overall.

  • Awesome song, the trumpet part is great,,,,reminds me back when they used to do westerns right,,,

  • Clint Eastwood=John Marston, whould be a hell of a moive.

  • the best of the best

  • I swear, Montenegro is a music god.

  • @Beatle911 no, montero is the music devil, he ruins all of the music gods work, listen to the original then this version youll see what i mean

  • @NOSYPOWER Ive listened to the original...it pales in comparison to this.

  • Ennio Morricone is and always will be better than you. Way to ruin good music.

  • how to ruin ennio's creations

    Saludos!

  • What a terrific idea. Everyone I've emailed it to loves it. Great picture quality and sound. Thanks for your effort here. PS I first saw this movie when I was 18.

  • ASIAのこと は 忘れてるのかな?

  • awesome. Used in many indian movies of Feroz Khan as Indian Clint Eastwood ;).

  • Love both this and the original, both have fine instrumentational qualities. Too bad this version has some unpleasent distortion in the louder parts of the performance, my CD copy does not have it.

  • @JRNipper ohhhhhh,goody for you---who cares about your copy???

  • @tedGEGI I only mentioned the distortion in case the person who uploaded it might want to try it again. Digital conversions should not have this kind of distortion.

  • Is this also in Kil Bill ?

  • bacan

  • good song

  • a tommy gun be better

  • maravilhoso clássico!!!

  • maravilhoso clássico!!!

  • "My mistake Five".

  • yeah old man me on the inside and you on the outside?

  • you know dirty harry is the man with no names grandson

  • lo mejor del oeste americano

  • I like both versions.... but this was is better!!! Mmmm.... sexy , sexy Clint!!!!!!!

  • This song and movie reminds me of my grandfather born in 1885 mexico he used to tell stories of the adventures he had i really like the song

  • respect clint !! very nice poncho

  • This melody has never sounded better! This has always been and always will be the definitive version by far.

  • ALANIZ6666 QUE CANCION TAN CHINGONA

  • i like this one the best

  • for a nostalgic reason I loved this Version than the original, no pun intended.

  • Not bad, but Ennio Morricone is rolling in the grave.

  • Love it, thanks for posting!

  • sounds like a smoother version of the original. but the original had more of a kick to it. not sure which i like better, they both sound great.

  • Original song is better.

  • @spackhollogay would you like a spoon?

  • @steve01274 I'm not following you...

  • in spanish the theme is " the death got a price".epic

  • ok ennio morricone may have made the original soundtracks to these movies like fistful of dollors good bad and ugly and for a few dollars more but hugo made these soundtracks come to life i have the cd of all these soundtracks by hugo and i love it this man took this music up to the next level

  • Thanks, Steve! My favorite theme from the spaghetti westerns, Montenegro nails it!

  • "Blondie, Do you know what you are? You're a son of a ___! "

  • @ky4011111 "Just a dirty son of a..." wahowahowaa!

  • This is my all time favourite music!

  • I wish this one wasn't disabled,I'd like to download it and help keep such classics in circulation. They vanish into the past too easy. Let's share this old treasure.

  • Amo estes (TEMAS) Será que todos

(AMAM) a JUVENTUDE como EU AMEI?

  • GENIO HUGO MONTENEGRO

  • 1:00 blimin immense movie poster - great soundtrack by the way more calm and cool than the good the bad and the ungly theme though not as impacting - still awesome

  • classico

  • HUGO MONTENEGRO OLE OLE

  • you can not find another conductor like Hugo and Ennio these day , is an unusual talented in these two... is my opion.

  • This music makes U feel just like being in that movie like it was yesterday. Yes I dig that solo trumpet part 2. A Hreat pieceof work from ALL who made itr happen. Great stuff!!!

  • Gyönyörű! Beautiful song!

    Köszönöm. Thanks

  • With this song, I want to eat lugaw and arroz caldo and keep cool reminiscing the serene 1960, 1970 and 1980 years. Epic , man ! Epic as Grandpa TJ err I mean The Amazing Atheist says in his accounts and vids. Cleaaarly as Jessica Angry Little Girl with Lisa and Jenn etc says.====tbc====....

  • excelente tema, excelente pelicula, lo mejor de lo mejor. excellent song, excellent movie, the best of best, saludos desde México.

  • always good entertainment on nights when you need something that cuts like a knife and always delivers.

  • The wild west cemetery circle standoff is kind of an Ouroborus of Resident Evil 5 and the book cover of Codex Magica by Mr. Texe Marrs and the articles in Beyond Angels And Demons book(thanks to Maike Evers for this book). It kinda symbolize the Three World War Uroboros Plan of Albert Pike Wesker of the Ill-uminati. And thanks to this second movie of Clint and Hugo. Where's the Camel cigarretes.==tbc==....

  • Makes me want to smoke a Marlboro cigerette.

  • Long live westerns, even though they portrayed Mexicans inaccurately. I should know, I come from such a people. Mexican westerns were also popular during the era of wesern movies. Both sides of the border had their own style.

  • Honestly, i always thought he just did The Good The Bad... for pop audiences.

  • i am just 21 year old and i saw this movie maybe 100 times

  • i've only seen it 99 times, but i will go home tonight and watch it again to equal your feat.

  • I've only seen it on a miserable 101 occasions...

  • i've now seen it 102 times. time for you to pull your socks up...

  • Hmm... I like the original a bit better.

Ah what the heck, this his also pretty good. :)

  • the best! 최고!

  • I remember they called these movies Spaghetti Westerns because they were directed by an Italian .

  • A bunch, including this one, were filmed in italy and that area. The deserts greatly resembled the american southwest, and I guess it must have been cheaper to film there or something. I imagine you're right about the director bit, though

  • when I got divorced from my wife, she requested that this song be played every time we negotiated in my lawyer's office

  • Just love those old movie posters too....great stuff.

  • oh my god how i love this song i have a lot of memories when i was children and my father used to listened Hugo Montenegro a lot of times and i was dreaming imaging my father in this film .. tanks a lot for share ..

  • Can anyone help me out with the name of a western theme song I once heard.

It starts out with whistling like this song and then with trumpets and a church bell tolling here and there in the song. In some parts it kind of sounds like this song, but it's not, and it's not a fistfull of dollars. I would appricate any help.

  • Could be the theme to 'A Man a Horse and a Gun'also known as Return of the Stranger starring Tony Anthony.Or Adios Sabata.Could be any Italian western theme really.

  • I found it! It's under "Gunman of ave maria/forgotton pistolero-german trailer" on YouTube. Do you know the name of the song? Thanks for your help.
