USC swag.....lol fuuuuuuck those were the days man ; ) we were better than everyone we played and we knew it and told it to their face.....and crazy thing was....the other team knew it too hahahah
you guys dont watch college football the u at one time had reggie wayne, pro bowler santana moss, andre johnson, and jermy shocky on the same team on the 2000 team.
what about a couple years ago when notre dame had maurice stovall and zmardijah (sorry idk how to spell it) They, along with Charlie Weis pretty much made Brady Quinn look like a pro worthy QB lol.
no...look at stats like yards per catch, yards after catch, yards after first hit because when u compare the qb they played with: HUGE difference. Reggie ball was stupid enough to sometimes throw to Calvin once or twice a game. Jarrett and Smith had more stats, but were not better receivers. (they were still great though)
Jarret isn't doing anything in the NFL, he has 73 yards all year!!! Steve Smith is okay, mainly Eli's go to guy on 3rd down only cuz Burres is gone. Dominek Hixon is his main reciever now. Ocho Cinco and TJ will and have always been more productive in the NFL compared to the two Trojans and that's what matters.
I admit it, Calvin Johnson is a better receiver individually, but he didn't have a duo. It's great TJ and Chad's doing well in the NFL, but this is College.
the only reason jarret isnt doin anything in the the NFL is because lokk who he is behinde. Steve smith and Muhsin Muhammad. this year he will get the ball more with DJ hackett gone
@Jamerson743 or so we thought.....this is more than likely his last year in carolina...and probably as a pro...nobody is gonna want to pick up a reciever that doesnt have 500 yards in 3 seasons combined...
SORRY but T.J.Houshmandzadeh and Chad Ocho Cinco played at the same time at Oregon State. That would be the best Wr tandem in college history, not Jarret and Steve S.
So in 2000 Ocho Cinco had 37 catches for 806 yards and eight TDs and T.J. had caught 48 passes for 730 yards with seven TDs. They both started and were ranked 4th in the nation and beat Notre Dame in the Fiesta bowl.
you're obviously a bias Trojan fan. Can I call you ignorant? First off, Calvin johnson won the Fred Biletnikoff Award in 06 for the nations top reciever and you're gonna say Jarret and Smith had more production in college?!?! Stop downsizing what everyone else had done just to make a couple of Trojans look better!!! Jesus.
@track09 are you freaking retarded? jarrett was more productive than calvin by himself. add on steve smith's production and they blow calvin johnson out of the water
I'm proud that he hung on even though we could all see he was hurting from the hit. Think it was a helmet to the back. I'm glad to see he is improving and if he keeps it up he can be a true #2 when Moose retires.
yes he was better. however, it wasn't the lions fault that he tried to leave sc early and took a year off of football because of it. that ultimately led to his demise. he could have been amazing.
Actually my friend I have watched more Panthers games than you will and I know for a fact that it's not the person passing it to him. He gets hit and drops the ball far too often in the NFL. He can't take a hit, but I will admit that after our Smitty has gotten onto his case about all the time he spends talking to reporters and not spending time improving or spending time in the play room he has gotten better this year. Hopefully he will turn out to be a great WR because he has been mediocre.
Umm, I think you just basically said what I said. Yes, I know if he would take the game seriously and not be so afraid he can be a great player. He has been getting better with such amazing WRs around him like Moose and Smitty. You acted like the Panthers weren't throwing the ball, but it is really just him dropping them because he was afraid of being hit. He is getting better and took a big hit in the Ari game and held onto the ball for a crucial 1st down. He was also hurting after that.
i can name 2 better combos..randy moss and chris carter when dey was at minnesota, and Jerry Rice and T.O..T.O dropped alotta balls dat year but he was a deep threat.
Lol, those are NFL combos. This combo is a college one. Although I can see where you got confused since Jarrett did go on to play with another Steve Smith in the NFL.
sweet video. these two were awesome together. i love sc and both these guys, but i would easily take kk and bmw in college over these two. bmw dominated everyone in college. and kk was sick.

Don't give me that bullshit. LSU lost Jamarcus Russell and their starting rb, btu USC is loaded for running backs, but they just lost to Stanford. Except it. LSU owns.
Usc had an injured QB no experienced WR and the offensice line and defense was hurt for a huge chunk of the season when usc was at full strength they could beat anybody in the country

The left side of Calvin Johnson + the right side of Calvin Johnson
mzarab 3 years ago
uh, Jarrett and Smith's production was way better than Johnson's individually.
They were both better College receivers than Calvin Johnson was.
Calvin Johnson was just a better NFL-prospect due to his physical attributes.

Houshmandzadeh didn't even start when Chad Johnson started.
Chad Johnson had a very very short college season after transferring from JC, and his stats in D1 college wasn't even that impressive.
Houshmandzadeh and Johnson weren't standout college players.

hm Dwayne Jarrett has 41 TD's with 3200 yards opposed to Johnson's 28 TD and 2800 yards
who had better production while sharing the catches with another receiver? unlike Johnson
Fred Biletnikoff award isn't for the most productive receiver
It's for the most impact receiver who consistently gets yards and W for his team (with NFL potentital)
Why did Crabtree get it this year with just 1100 yards? Collie got 1600 ?

Agreed. Mike was USC's best receiver. He was an absolute beast. Though Steve Smith and Jarrett contributed more because they stayed longer.
