  • im getting my tonsils taken out tomorrow XD

  • This shots fucking killing me!! Can't swallow or nothing, got the week off school though.. Getting mine removed asap!

  • i caught it in its early stages this week thank god! i was prescribed antibiotics and it went away soon enough, of course i drank lots of hot tea with honey, gargled salt water and mouth wash, if i didnt do my research on this i wouldnt have even known i had tonsilitis and would have let it get worse.

  • i have it now to it really hurt.... i do not eat beause it hard ....

  • i hav tonsilitis im like 98% sure but my mam wont take me to the doctors what do i do :(

  • i have tonsillitis right now as im typing this and it likes like HELL! moms coming to get me now to go to the hospital =/

  • if you have a son doughter wife husband or loved one and you want to do everything you can for them then at least for their sakes or for your own watch msbones1950 a slow death before you make a decishion of anykind

  • @edd217 I just had mine out in January. I had my tonsil and adenoids removed and have my turbinites (thingys in your nose) cauterized. I was nervous too, it's definitely normal to feel that way. but don't worry! and don't believe all of the horror stories you have probably heard. I know the experience is different for everyone, but it honestly was not that bad. They give you so many pain meds and if you take them on a set schedule (i.e. take them BEFORE the pain comes back) you'll be just fine!

  • איכס זה מגעיל

  • ewwwww!!!!

  • @edd217 Well it hurts really badly, and sometimes you'll feel dizzy... but after it heals then its worth going through all the pain.

  • I got mine out today, They gave me 10 popscicles o.o

  • thats a hott girl

  • I haved that at both Tonsils that hurted when i eated but it gone about 1-2 weeks.

  • God! in my case, for example, i'm more than scared because in every winter i have the same problem.I can't go to school almost 1 month and a half because my tonsils. I'm tired to take pils

  • doese the girl needs surgery? can you check yourself in the miror if yyou need a surgery? does multiple cases of throat deseasesincrease your chances of needing surgery?? what is the age danger zone(you know, for example:from age 7 to 15 , just an example)? pleas answere me, i need that info!

  • Pedobear likes this picture!

  • When I was a child I came down with a bad case of tonsilitis, I was on antibiotics but eating tomato soup, while I had the tonsilitis was painful. I never got tonsilitis again, and I never had my tonsils removed. Between 5-12 of years, worst pain I had was the frequent migranes and vomiting, one migrane that last longer then 24 hours did not respond to childrens panadol, so I was given a needle at the hospital that took away the migrane

  • @mylovesofmylife Wow....I had the same....2 times...

  • We took Trinket to a 24 hour doctor

When she woke up from her nap with flu/conjunctivitis

    She had enlarged tonsils-tonsilitis

The conjunctivitis cleared just 1 day after antibiotic eye drops

She is on oral antibiotics for tonsilitis

We have taken her to the doctors for antibiotics for throat infections before

    She is a mouth breather

Her father was a mouth breather as a small child

Her Father had his adenoids removed as a 3 year old child,

Due to the fact he alot of ear infections

  • this got me so hottttttt

  • i got that done it eazy it only take 30 min

but after that u cant eat no shit for about 4 week it hurt like hell

u cant eat hot food only cool like icecream and stuff

  • "And remember, the final decision is up to you. No one can force you to undergo a surgical procedure against your will."

Try telling that to all the children, self included, who were forced to undergo tonsillectomy back in the forties and fifties! Never mind that children died from this "minor" surgery.

  • i am getting mine out soon i am rly scared

  • @issyxy I was Scared to but if you recover well than you wont have any pain. Unfortuantly for me I was late on my recover for being a stubborn little girl. Now six years later I get a sore throat but nothing that Halls and spray cant fix. You'll be fine just pay attention to what you eat or drink during recovery i found gatorade way to suguary afterwards.

  • @TheMarvelChic Thanks i will get to eat icecream and jelly for 4 days yummy!!!!! i have a flu and my tonsillctomy ison not this tuesday but the next

  • I want to remove my tonsils because I have a bad taste on theme, I think it causes me bad breath, Am I right????????

  • @MrJpablo22 Those are most likely tonsil stones. Yeah, I don't think they go away until after you've removed your tonsils. I had them too, they smell AWFUL and ruin your self-confidence at times, no?

  • its not the fact that it might hurt its the fact that they are removing it for no good reason (and charge you for it too), i was sick and they were really sore for couple days, i just drank ice water when it got really bad and my body killed or stopped the sickness like it NATURALLY DOES.

  • @billyboy385 It's good that you got better on your own, but that's not always the case. If you had something wrong with you I doubt you would just let it naturally heal, because that won't always happen. Our bodies aren't perfect, and sometimes it becomes necessary to fix them. If you've ever broken a bone, you know that you should see a doctor to get it dealt with, healing on ti's own may cause further damage. It's the same with most every thing. Tonsillectomies are not done for no reason.

  • My mum has this

  • it's not as bad as you think. it seems scary when the doctor explains it to you, but it's really not, trust me. if you do get your tonsils removed, you'll be ok, you'll just be sore for a while.

  • i just got out of surgery about 6 hours ago, because i had my tonsils taken out. my throat hurts like hell, and it BURNS!

  • I help do this surgery every day. Its very safe and It takes about 30 minutes and by the looks of all the tonsils taken out I can see exactly why it was needed. Yeah you have to deal with a sore throat for a few days but then you no longer have to deal w/ tonsilitis, sleep apnea and breathing problems. Its truely not a big deal at all:)

  • @ScottsWife7984 I bet you're the kind of doctor who cut off diabetics feet because the procedure got you more money. You thieves! You scoundrels! Swindling poor, innocent folk out of money! I shall not stand for it! My tonsils and feet will stay in or on my body forever! I WILL EAT MY OWN FEET YOU SHALL NOT HAVE THEM, YOU EVIL DENTIST!

oh but i still want my sugar free lolipop for showing up kay thanks.

  • @ScottsWife7984 i think of it as a big deal, nature put them there for a reason and if it has any problems it would deal with it on its own, its called evolving.. mess with this and the natural order of things are out of balance - nature will start expecting us to remove it at one point or another if done frequently enough.

  • @billyboy385 That's not true. Having your tonsils removed will not change the anotomy of your children. If a dog has it's ear torn accidentally, it will not birth a dog with a torn ear. If you have your tonsils removed it will not affect your children. In the future we may not have children with tonsils, but it will take a long time and will not be because we have had surgeries to remove them. That's not how it works. It's the difference between a learned and an inherited traits.

  • @blaze8902 well you could be right but i still think our bodies would start getting used to it gone.

  • when i first had tonsillitis, i had two illnesses. i had tonsillitis and a throwing up bug. it was nasty. and now my tonsils are permanently big and i have really large lymph nodes. but i'm not having them taken out!! NO WAY!

  • @polkadotpolka123 mine are like that to! i had strep throat then my left tonsil was the size of a walnut for 2 years! Then yesterday it got bigger and caused me to throw up every hour. now my parents want to get it removed! scary!

  • i fucking hate it. got this right before my exam tommorow

  • i have tonsils in my anus woohoo!

  • @shellibai

    Yes everyone has tonsils DUH!

  • mY SON HAS THEM AHHHH!!!!!

  • @shellibai nice, so does evry other human being have them, sorrry he's not special

  • Aww! Now I REALLY DON"t want to get them out! I'm sort of scared...:( i cried like atwo yr old in the dr. office when they told me! does anyone know if you can feel them poking at you when your asleep, those are my main two reasons 4 being scared: feeling them inside, and being put to sleep...

  • FAP FAP FAP

  • lol i thought it was a UGULA hahaha ive been wrong all these years :P

  • I got my tonsils taken out when I was 4 too.

  • i got then out when i was like 4 now I'm 18

  • Okay....tonsillectomys are really no big deal, it has been scientificaly proven that you DON"T NEED THEM. Either our bodies used them in early development while we were still in the fetus, or they are just left over and evolution has not yet discarded them.

  • what is the difference between pediatric surgery and regular surgery?

  • ol- sure u could live without ur tonsils just like u could live without an arm or a leg, or without half a liver or half a brain. But it is never ever the same!

  • "...and having them removed will not in any way weaken you"- wow what arrogance, what ignorance, what foolishness! first they say its part of the immune system, then they say 'o its no big deal having them removed'. Apparently these bastard 'doctors' dont even know or understand the function & importance of the tonsils to begin with! Or else they would NEVER think of haphazardly removing them

    l

  • @imbrd If you chave chronic tonsillitis, removing them will only benefit you. As you say, tonsils are part of the immune system, but what good are they when they are full of bacteria that nothing can get rid of, neither tonsils themselves nor antibiotics? The alternatives are either keep your infected tonsils and be permanently sick, or get them removed and recover.

  • my sister has tonsilitis that why I watched this

  • Ive Just Had My Tonsils Out 3 Days Ago!... If You Dont Look After Your Throat After The Sugery Your Throat Or Nose Can Hemeridge.. And You Could Possible Die From Loosing So Much Blood..! It Happened To Three Girls I Kno...

  • my doctor said my tonsils were too small

  • I'm going in to surgery soon. I have had 5 cases of tonsillitis in my whole life. The only reason I don't already have my tonsils out is because I go to different doctors all the time.

  • is that normal?

  • I had toncilitious for the past 12 years of my life. It never went away, which is strange I know. But monday I finally got them out, the soreness and taking long periods of time to eat a slice of bread is actually worth it :)

  • yeah bro I think I'm gonna go 4 surgery , cuz this bullshit has afected me 4 the last 15 years, quite abit no?, but the slice of bread thing is not very convincing 2 me, but what the heck.

  • my bf just had a tonsilactomy, he's in pain now, poor thing, I was thinking of getting mind removed too my doctor recommended because i had tonsilitise every 2months and twice it swell until i almost couldn't breath, I'm thinking twice now...

  • I had to deal with my tonsils all my life until 5 years ago. I had them taken out. Through out the years they kept getting worse. Every time I yawned i would feel them tear and I would bleed tremendous blood. I had trouble swollowing my food, it would take me almost an hour to eat my meals. Couldnt sleep at nights I had to sleep like the chickens sitting on my bed....and Im a side sleeper. My own tonsils were suffocating me plus they give u bad breath. Have them removed if u suffer from them.

  • Don't have it done!!

I had mine removed when I was 11!

I felt fine when I woke up from the anesthetics, but the next day when I woke up, I threw up blood and had to go back to the hospital to have the blood vesils in my throat burned off! I also had to have blood drawn back into me!

They said I lost 1/3 of all my blood!

I fainted from no blood o.0

BTW the blood hurt like hell!

I also had to stay the next 4 days in the hospital, and had to give them my urine ever time I went 0.0

    Good Luck!

  • bad luck for you, when i woke up in the hospital when i gut when i gut my tonsil remove, i only threw up once with blood and the next day i was a o.k

  • ya... i did that when i was 13.. and i got the same problems with you!... yulks! the blood was so disgusting!

  • i think you threw up becus the tonsils were holding all the blood then they took it out and might have cut a blood vesil.. by the way did it hurt when the vesils get burnt out? and tell me how bad o_o

  • yup! that time my mum said why i got bad breathe..... then we went to see a doctor and realize i got tonsillitis...

  • I have them...and I want my tonsils removed..they are too annoying :/

  • I had mine removed at age 25 and people kept telling me it'd be sooooo painful after they were removed. I took the pain meds given to me and I was back to work in 4 days, eating solid food as well. Guess I was just lucky. Mine were taken out though because if I tightened my throat just a little bit I could make both sides touch. They were bright red and made it hard to swallow as well as when I did get a cold, the cold felt far worse.

  • I had mine removed last thursday, i'm 18 it the pain is horrible.

  • im 15 i still have them

  • mine at the moment is well my right 1 is like at the bact of my neck so like i dont no what to do

  • I had them removed 10days ago. The doctor cauterized and did small stitches on the bottom.I was fine the 2days after my surgery almost no pain at all. I started feeling pain on the 3d until the 6th day (like swallowing rasor blades). The pain is also reflective, my ears and jaw were hurting. I had no fever at all.I only ate jello, cold soups, cold milk, ice-cream, yogurt and 3 light painkillers a day for 7days.I took antibiotics for 1 week. Now I can eat everything. Slight bleeding on the 4h day

  • k i better stop watchin this

  • ehm sorry for beeing a pervert or something.but her mouth does look like a vagina D:

  • I just got my tonsils last week.

    It was scary!!!!!!!

My blood presure increase since I haven't eaten in 4 days. When I got the surgery no one told their might a chance that blood would come out of my thoart.

I throw up six times it was all blood and other stuff too. it was scary!! My parents freaked out when the first saw the blood coming out my mouth the freaked and called 911. The doctor should have told us this I just don't know why he didn't tell her.

  • sue them!!!! you have a great case

  • I had them removed last week too but the only blood that came out of my mouth was equal to 2 fullspoons. I am sorry that your experience was that shocking! Are you sure you only ate cold liquid or creamed food? Did you have many stitches? I'm asking that cause every doctor uses a different technique, mine were cauterized and I only had 2 tiny stitches. Plus as my doctor suggested I gargled every night with a solution made from 1/5 aqua soft peroxide and 4/5 water to help heal and less bleeding.

  • Tonsils are part of the human immune system. You shouldn't take them out.

  • tonsils are usefull only when you are kid, they stop helping the immune system after a certain age.

  • Doctors take them out of little kids and adults and they love to do it like it's some weird cure for something but it's not. All nodes and glands become inflamed when you're fighting infection. I think you need them.

  • I had them removed last wednesday, my doctor reassured me that they are completely useless after the age of 18-20 as they can easily become the source of infection if the human organism is prominent on tonsillitis. My tonsils would get swollen and infected 2-3 times every year! They were a pain in the ass!plus the high fever and the antibiotics!

  • It actually helps in some cases of continuously inflamed tonsils. It can help also with breathing problems

  • i agree with you

  • i havent had my tonsils taken out yet.

but i have herbopolsy on my left arm,if it wasnt for physical therapy it would look like im raising my hand that would be wierd during school lol

  • Nothing will be wrong. Don't take the gas. I threw up for about 3 days after taking the gas, while my brother who took the shot didn't. Xdd

You won't get them removed while you are alive.

I have had strep throat atleast 10 times before I had a tonsillectomy. They were only minor cases, though.

You will probably not feel any pain after the surgery.. You will be hopped up on advil+kodine. You may have to stay home from school/eat only liquified(Yogurt, Icecream..) things for a day.

  • Alive?

I meant to say awake, sorry.
