Ive thought about that but, using an automatic transmission and crank from a land rider bicycle. wish I could find some used parts from one. Id like to get it up in the air but, city ordinances are stupid. It seems that if they cant make their dime from it they dont want anyone else to save a dime. Its not like Im going to go completely off grid with it after all its only 600 watts. I like your vawt too. How many watts does it generate?
With a Lens turbine of that size you could probably use a 4 to1 gearing from the central shaft to the pma and make use of the high torque that monster will turn out. Slick looking machine there.
Ive got some questions: How does it work at lower wind and how much does one simply version of this cost? Im intrested in this but at this time im working with Solar (Photovoltaik) in simple thinks like Phones, Small chargers etc. Look at my vids to understand ;o) Thank you for answering!
