Actually, I have travelled in Eastern Europe. The "collective" attempt of mostly agrarian societies, dominated by dictators, to emulate capitalism while forbidding it were disastrous. How can that be used to justify the knowingly destructive practices of capitalism? Corporations and politicians rig the system, wreak "profitable" havoc, then leave us the bill, while the public agonizes over who gets kicked off of American Idol...
