I have a enpower el80 also known as Compal it was just sold by PC Club hacks! Ive had it for a few years now and never had a problem! great machine... although my friggin cat fell on the keyboard and actually broke 2 keys!! I was wondering If anyone might have a good idea where to get replacement part for these cheap? You would think a CBB would be easier to locate due to its interchangeabilityI

You could try NCIX if you live in North America. That's where I got my replacement "Canadian French" keyboard module from.

Do you know where they sell barebones or CBB kits to end consumers? I heard Antec was on the market for those, but no notebook parts on on their product pages. I was also eyeing ASUS ROG line, but I can't find a barebones to those.

are the 2 speakers on the bottom front of the compal hel81 supposed to both work because only the right speaker works on mine. im also planning on buying 2 new intergrated speakers so i can install them

I guess compal and quanta are interchangeable with each other. that will be good news at least trying to save some money on parts and batteries. I did not know toshiba and panasonic make their own products.

i'm going to get ethier a Compal, or ASUS and hopefully will be better than my dell. i hate dell. but if i have a problem i will just have the computer lady fix it cuz she builds the same kind for my school. good vid needs music

You honestly dont know? Compal and Quanta makes just about every machine out in the world.. Dell Sony acer Apple So the statement Better then my dell means nothing since its saying Compal better then compal.. Panasonic and Toshiba are the two that make there own products at ther own factory.

You should know for the next time. Your next notebook you should research it before buying so you know it wont have dumb problems. All the Brands have issues, some more then others. They all have major brand names inside Intel, AMD, ATI, VIA, Nvidia. Try not to be so Neg.
