Hej guys! I loved FF8 and now I have a problem...pls help

Is it possible to get saves from psx ff8 and transfer them to the psp ? I need saves before the last fight on the 2 disc...I had 4 characters with 100 levels..gf's with I can remember well but around 100 levels too. I played a lot of when I was younger but my 2 disc has crashed and I have never had a chance to end this game. PLS HELP What shoudl i do? I don;t want to play whole game again..100 hours are too many to repeat. ;-(

im running the psn version of ff8 on my psp 1000 cfw 5.00m33-6 but still no luck it freezes randomly, so far no cutescene freezed for me but i think that the draw command is the cause beacause whenever i stock or cast it freezes in the animation or in mid-battle even random battles

how did you manage to get through the lunar cry cinematic?.. it freezes like shit everytime in my psp after that cinematic that's why i cant play ff8 on my psp.

y don't you all just go to media go and make an account its free and then buy Final Fantasy 8 its only 10$ and after you buy it you upload it to your psp it will take some time to upload on to your psp  and just to let you all know once you buy Final Fantasy 8 it'll stay on your account and another thing the Final Fantasy 8 thats there work's 110% i know becase i bought the game off the web site and it works 110% im 100% shore i hope this works for all of you (:

FF8 won't show up in the Memory Stick when i turn on my PSP. Please help!!

i was able to run FF8 just fine using RS-GUI Popstation, but when i decided to make a eboot using First Multi Disk Popstation the eboot doesn't appear even though it's on the memory stick.

I even tried making a eboot using RS GUI again, but now it doesn't even work as well!

I'm guessing the isos files are the problem and i should d/l new isos?

I Have solved the problem man! just do this:

1. change the game ID and save ID ( all 4 ebbots) to SLPS02180 (this is very imporant!! ) how ? by using popsloader gui google it : PsGUI300beta

2. set disc speed to fast

3. set camera to zero..

4. use 4.01 firmware ( i haven't use 3.90 below but if u try and made it then its alright ) all i can say is that 4.01 has been tested!!

5. enjoy!! cut scenes were freezeless , you can draw cast any SPELL a million times w/o worries.

For everyone still having problems here is the ultimate freeze fix,

1. Format your memory card, instal ff8 and use 4.01 firmware

2. change the game ID and save ID ( all 4 ebbots) to SLPS02180 (this is very imporant!! ) how ? by using PopstationGUI

4. set camera to zero..

i had updated my psp slim from 4.01 to 5.01 cfw and there are only less than 5% lagging. your game will hang if the multidisc patch or the cd rip is bad. GF junctioning is now ok.

Maybe it is like this: if you bought a psp version 4.01 and played FFVIII you must update it to 5.01 for it to be ok. so if you have a lower version than 4.01 you check first if your game will be completely ok in 4.01, if not go to 5.01

I've already done the stuff u mentioned, but i never go to try it out cuz i have a save from a previous one that keeps freezing.. how can i convert the save?

1. Used First MD Popstation Gui v1.4

2. loaded all 4 disc, gaint eboot

3. used SLPS02180 id for main and all disc.

4. converted final eboot approximately 2.0gb.

5. booted up the game on psp held R

6. popsloader menu came up, chose 3.72

7. game starts, selected new game, blank screen(doesn't work)

8. tried the other popsloader 3.71 & 3.90 like you said, still nothing(no opening fmv)

p.s I'm on 5.00 m33-3....with the latest popsloader by DA also tried the 3.90 popsloader by sonic nothing

Herd that most FF games works well with 3.71 & 3.72 but not exactly sure. But I am 100% sure that Chrono Cross works with 3.72 with the game id SCUS-94640. I've beaten the whole game without any freezes.

The game runs to 100%, thats right.But you must use pops 3.52 on cd 3 at the Moon Tear sequense.

The game freeze after this sequense on 4.01m33-2. But the sequense freeze nothing under pops 3.52. This is the only one Freeze at all 4 cd´s under 4.01m33-2.

That game freeze when you have a torrent iso.

You most have an orginal psx ff8.

And that is right, no freeze on cfw 4.01m33-2

when you self make from a original ff8 whith fix.

Than that run´s great from the first moment to the last moment.

FF8(folder)->ff8D2 ->FF8D3 ->FF8D4

then, which one should I change for playing the ff8?? coz... now i am so confusing... please help me.. thanks..

you must combine all the discs with the multi-eboot maker (guide in my thread). then you will get the eboot. make a folder called SLPS02180 place eboot in there.

try downloading other FF8, i play my FF8 in 3.90 m33 i dont get any hang or freezes in any game, even i draw million times in game it doesnt freeze i suggest try get new one or pm ill tell where to download the no freeze ff8.. and also use 3.71 popsloader when you playing..
