Recovering Files from a corrupt Windows drive

i need help i accidentally recovered my window and i lost all my microbiology data and i don t know how to get it back

i have a problem including "disk read error occured press ctrl.."

how can i fix it and will it have data loss? can i recover it?i really need my data there. sorry 4 my english btw. hope you can help. please reply.

thanks i just bought this because i bought a 4gb flash drive and got the same problem. i used the rstudio software and i got all my pictures and videos back!

I was first going to try the linux way but I found another software called Spotmau PowerSuite 2010 it worked kind of like the R Studio. I really liked that idea of having a computer as a recovery unit wish I had another comp to do that. Thanks for the info you are really helping me out.

I looked at that software, it seems like it's pretty much just the ultimate boot cd, rebranded with some extra recovery tools.

Definately a nice little toolkit either way.
