  • My old emachine can do this, what is the point of this video?

  • Im sick of all this Intel i7 hype. Heres some actual factual proof why intel i7 is not designed for gaming but designed for servers.

    Intel i7+large L3 cache+extremely small L2 cache= not very good gaming performance.

Fact:games Utilize large L2 cache, thats why current dual core and quads are good.

Please read these articles before commenting.

    Intelligent comments please.

  • if you check the intel site they say themselves its not meant for servers.

It also categorised under workstation cpu.

    The XEON's are server cpu's

  • you can still run your gtx 280s and hd4870s in unison with this prossesor and you can over clock it as a mater of fact it is ubber sick with it with and added 50% or dubbling normal fps in some cases

  • ZzZzzZZZzZZzZZzzZ

  • What's going to happen, you wont be able to overclock 'cos you can fuck the processer up.

  • Hwo want to overclock this beauty?

  • Repeat in proper English.

  • I'm hungarian I don't speak perfect english.'Hwo' -Who-

  • I'm not even going to buy it so i don't have to worry about overclocking.

  • But does it run crysis?

  • lol, good question!

  • No. Computers can't run Crysis.

  • Crysis sucks cause the engine is the most crappy shit since windows vista.

  • damn that was awestrikingly unimpressive...

  • lol, i want to see the back of the case, probly pluged the monitor into a gtx 280.....

  • pointless now that The GTX 260 &280 support the Novadex physics engine. the 280 can pull around 1 TFLOP! if you had sli you would have 1 TFLOP devoted to physics.

  • I love my BFG280 :D

  • I love my 4870 more!

  • Pathetic, isn't it?

  • The Nahelem with 4 cores with share memory and internal memory controller is a good starts.

The future belong to the CPU. The real battle will be fought with software, not with not with the best hardware.

  • Brrrwaaahhhhhaaaahahah!! You are correct! We have hardware that many programmers have no clue how to write optimally for.

  • Its sad isn't it.

  • A single Intel core is faster than two or three GPU cores, not only that is several time over more flexible.

The problem with the CPU is that the bus because a bottleneck, but when Intel decide to add 8, 12 and 16, 24 and 32 cores to the CPU. plus a 512, maybe 1024 bit bus and a memory controller in the CPU.

There is not way any GPU can keep up with Multi cores CPUs, so I can see that in 3 to 4 year GPUs will die unless Nvidia star making their own CPUs to compete with Intel or AMD

  • Ummmm yeah, that's why we use dedicated GPU's. The GPU is much faster and more dynamic than a CPU, ever hear of CUDA? Thats C programming on GPU's. Eventually the CPU and GPU will merge.

  • thats like my monitor lol, which board is better price to performane 780i or 790i plz reply and bare in mind both dont support nehalem.

  • looks like its the end of Cpu. with nvidia CUDA all u need a GPU

  • Good for a cpu. Just sad a GPU can do that many times faster.

  • 1337th view. w00t!

  • nvidia ran this demo at 300fps, this is run at ~20fps

  • Not really, CPU's are used to run 1-20 Long and complicated sets of instruction sets. GPU's are better (Because of their floating point) To calculate billions of calculations per second that are short and repetitive. You still need CPU's. GPU's are for other things.

  • Thanks for the upload, very unimpressed however. Multi-core is an up hill battle it looks like performance doubling has slowed down to 3-3.5 years. We need faster clocks!
