"The Secret Space Program"?! Is what, who is behind it and why?

In the words of my father the mission to the moon in 1969 had NOTHING to do with a SPACE RACE WITH THE RUSSIANS. That was a competely MILITARY MISSION and the SPACE RACE was a cover. Additionally my father said we were so far ahead of the Russians in 1975 that it was not even funny. He worked at Ford Aerospace also called Philco-Ford in 1975 on the production of technical manuals under a very secret program. That is all he would tell me.

The US military is behind it who else? We want to blow the world to kingdom come if we want to. We have been to mars for along time. My dad worked on these projects and we have been light years ahead of the USSR since the mid 70's.
