maybe it depends on how you set it up I've 500hp street strip cars sound quiter than stock with resonators and stock style restrictive mufflers And seen em run the dyno dosen't kill as much hp as everyone thinks but If you want it to flow right....yeah it'll probably be pretty damn loud

There is a kit for doing this to a Focus, since there was so much interest when it was first seen, a kit and instruction were put together, just have to google it, V8 Ford Focus Conversion etc, info is out there on the web, pretty cool swap if you ask me. :)

This video was back in 2007 I believe. I purchased the car in late 2007, yes the car you are seeing with the 408 is the same one. I blew the motor in this one and the new owner bought it from me as a shell and put the 408 in. I still think it ran better with the built 351 on a 180 shot

Actually ford was interested in this as a concept. it was called the focus rs8. The RS standing for Rally Sport and using the European RS focus as the donor car then performing the swap. I believe Ford came up with the idea and hired a private company to perform the conversion. I may not be 100% correct so do not bitch at me haha.

Kugel Components did the work on the RS8 and released a retro kit. they used the terminator engine from the 03-04 Cobra. Motor trend put it up against a mucielago and the only thing the focus lost was top speed and looks. it out accelerated, out handled and rode better than the lambo. but as usual ford shows a great concept, temps the USA and doesn't follow through, ala Focus RS MK1-2 and the ST

Hell yea he's saying that the foci is a good car!!! The SVT can out perform almost ANYTHING on the track... and I'm saying ANYTHING. The slolom times for the SVT were faster than the Audi S4... with a v8, and a corvette Z06... more than twice the horsepower. So yea, the foci is an amazing car, and I don't know why you would even try to argue it.

i'm pretty sure this was a full custom job. there was a company that through ford racing could put in the terminator engine like in the focus rs8 but it was outrageously expensive. there are a few forums around with people who can give you more details

Yes, the company you're refering to is called Kugel Components I believe. They were using the 420HP cammer setup in the Focus, and they were using a Mustang 8.8, and the Tremec 5 speed out of a Mustang. The drive shaft I'm not sure if you can use the Mustang's, or if it's custom. Maybe shortening the Mustang's shaft is what they did? I don't know on that one.
