  • Both Judo and Jiu Jitsu are very deadly! Imagine the poor fool who trys to pick pocket them! they'll wake up in the E.R thinking to themselves...wow I just got my ass kicked

  • pro versus amateur, was there ever any doubt?

  • judo plus meteor hammer equals fucked... in life or death...

  • This guys moves are so simple. I learned these moves within the first 3 purple stripes.

  • over taped aint he? lmao

  • "this guys good" DUHHHH he just kicked your ass bitch

  • Whats with so much tape?

  • bill with his black belt in football, doesnt really know much... jason isnt bad tbh

  • i just realized...i first seen this about 2 years ago, and i thought this guy was pretty good at judo..but iv been doing judo for about 9 and a half months now, and he seems pretty basic..i mean yea he's ground was good, but he locked up so much, and kept he's head down looking at the feet...thats what new people to judo do..i still find myself looking at the feet a lot, and i tend to stiff up if my foe gets ippon..but he's just...man, my opinion of he's judo is greatly damaged.

  • i hope he was impressed by that ass whooping

  • This guy was lucky the black belt took it easy on him. He could have thrown him on his head. Everytime he threw the white belt he put him down easy.

  • @BreeZeee000000 i think so

  • is this a show??

  • ..For MMA Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu may be more effective but for real life situations Judo is clearly more effective. If you are a well versed Judoka and you perform a harai-goshi or hanai-goshi onto pavement then the other guy is not getting up, trust me on that.

And this is from somebody who has trained in Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Catch Wrestling and Sanda Kickboxing for almost 10 years.

  • @Dungarth

I'm more in the BJJ camp, but I have to agree. Judo is very applicable to real world self defense. In fact, I'd like to find a place in my area that does train (since I moved) because my exposure to Judo is limited, but it impressed the hell out of me. It's still a very underrated art, and not just by people who don't do martial arts, either.

  • DAMN! i love judo but i'm 2 meters tall.

  • as a keen judoka i find it insulting to the sport that two MMA meat heads can even phathom that they could possibly beat a judo master. hell the judoka went easy on him for the cameras lol

  • I remember laughing out loud at the concept that either of these jokers would handle a high level judoka. Having trained some judo many moons ago, high level vs a noob is a serious, serious level change. So few understand how really great a style Judo is.

  • Them 2 are full of shit! I would of put my house on the Judo man winning with complete ease. What a pair of mugs. He even put a gum shield in.

  • Them 2 are full of shit! I would of put my house on the Judo man winning with complete ease.

  • I don't understand why the bald guy thinks that he is strong and/or powerful.

  • @123gwf Cause he was player pro football so he got a ego from that.

  • shido for blocking...

  • why all the tape? dumbass is making it harder for himself with that crap...this aint karate

  • more like "ipowned"

  • wow he wasnt even trying to use judo moves, he kept trying mma moves on him and failed.

tried to cheat and still lost.

  • "Missed him by, inches" bullshit, dude was probably like wtf are you trying to do?

  • @BlazedtotheMax hahahaha

  • @BlazedtotheMax My thoughts exactly, lol.

  • they should of called up Karo Parisian . He would of thrown that guy down and submitted him .

  • At 6:20 when Jason Chambers says "missed him by inches" rofl!!! More like 2 feet!

  • not much padding

  • white belts fighting black belts??

  • he had an omoplata at 5:38...

  • Love how he says he almost had triangle choke, while clearly he had no control over his opponent's arm and was about to get stacked.

  • That was a match between a mediocre jujitsuka and a excellent judoka,,,The high leval judokas spend hours and hours on their newaza (ground game)... There's some stories here in Brazil , about some judokas finishing some Brazilian jiujitsukas (i.e. Ezequiel from the ezequiel choke/sode guruma jime) But the vast majority of BJJitsukas have a advantage on the ground game and a disadvantage on the stand up (nagewaza) against a judoka of the same technical level....

  • y'all are some big talkers on the computer, probably never been in a fight in your life.

  • @BillionDollaBaby94

is '94 your birthday? That's cute

  • @EyeHi lol its just a number i chose for my name, thanks i guess

  • these americans are a couple of wankers with their heads so far up their asses, they have no comprehension of what they're trying to do.

  • @jeewilliker :-)

  • hahah. he says he knows jiu jitsu. what did he do? read the jiu jitsu for dummies book. he clearly doesnt have grappling skills.

  • @xXBkzDrChuLoXx Jason was a pro MMA fighter who won ten of his bouts by submission so I'd say he probably does have some grappling skills. He got beaten by someone who's better at takedowns than he is. Everyone loses, doesn't mean he doesn't have any skill.

  • @ProfessorScience So are you saying a very good Judoka can take on a seasoned Ju Jitsu practitioner?

  • @theman2017inc It's all about the player. Both styles are very good.

  • @brainstew232 You'd say that both Ju Jitsu and Judo have their merits???? Ok :-)

  • @brainstew232 :-) ok!!!

  • the dude cant bend over or he'll get his ass owned he fight tall and proud no bending over

  • yea, bull rush a master of judo...... great idea if you want to eat some mat through the back of you head

  • i can rape both of dem

  • these guys suck!

  • why do the guys who is loosing loosing the tie on their shirt(dress)..whatever it called

  • Well, I only have my yellow belt in Judo, but these guys are right, it is no easy martial art. You can get seriously hurt if you don't know what you're up against or if you're not "Judo trained" >.<

  • The Judo T.V. host is such a toolbag! "I went for an armbar like I had learned at the Kyoto police department." Dude...you did the moves for maybe 15 minutes...if that. This guy has a black belt in judo and has been doing it for 23 years!...Try going against a yellow belt or something!

  • @LidarDan15 They guy trains at Eddie Bravo's 10th Plant Jiu-Jitsu, and he is an MMA fighter... So he clearly didn't do the movies for "maybe 15 minutes"...

  • @xAristaicx 10th planet jiu jitsu; which is sport jiu jitsu. It's not meant for self defense. It's meant for jiu jitsu tournaments where strikes are not a threat.

  • @LidarDan15 actually it is for when strikes is a threat. If you saw eddie's book, it says its for MMA. And we can see guys in pride and ufc using his techniques.

  • @LidarDan15 although I agree with you, note, the tv host (Jason) is well trained in grappling due to his JiuJitsu training for MMA. Since the judoka did not display any ground game when fighting Jason, it's hard to know what would be the real outcome in a ADCC style match.

  • He doesnt practise "jujitsu". He is an american mma clown meaning that he practise BJJ, aka the kids version of jujitsu.

  • "with my strength and size i can push this guy all over the mat." Erm. Isn't Judo DESIGNED to help smaller dudes take on bigger guys?? It's like these guys learn absolutely nothing from their travels.

  • @nasri

I think the 'use your opponents force against them' line has been exposed as sales tool for martial arts schools. Why do Judo AND boxing have weight classes? Because unless the fighters are totally untrained, the bigger guy *always* has a massive advantage.

  • @Andybaby

If you realise, they have weight categories coupled with skill categories. Tyson doesn't box with an amateur no matter what his weight is. A new student who's 250lbs can easily be eaten up by a lighter black belt any day.

With the tiny amount of training these guys went through, even such a weight advantage is still hugely in the black belts' favour.

And no, it's not a sales tool for martial arts schools. I should know. I've been a martial artist for 11 years now.

    Peace.

  • @Andybaby My friend has an 80 pound weight advantage, and only one belt level below me. I win 60% of the time on the ground with him. I just use speed instead of strength, my condition is also superior. You can be big but without conditioning your done, dont even bother on the ground.

  • @TheRealParagon "You can be big but without conditioning your done, dont even bother on the ground."

Oh, absolutely. I remember my first few months in BJJ, and even when on days I didn't tap, I still felt like I got run over by a train when I grappled with someone with superior transitioning, technique, and cardio. Condition is a crucial factor in any fighting style, and it applies in spades on the mat.

  • @nasri :-)

  • @nasri True that. Judo throws come from momentum and this guy said "I'm just going to bullrush him" lol

  • @nasri No, it isn't.

  • @ThatScot I'm sure you know better

  • @nasri if he pushed forwards the judoka would just do like drop seoi/uchi mata/tai otoshi lol

  • yea big people do have an edge cuz if your fast you can move people better then a smaller person, but in the same way small people have a different edge, they gotta squat less. sure tall and heavy ppl can move you better, but its harder to throw a small person cuz we'll have to squat to pick them up, small people can throw u without squating, because they're center of gravity is already below yours. your right though, judo is for small people, but big ppl got the edge in moving people around.

  • @nasri fucking lold haha the guy has no idea what JUDO is all about

  • @nasri 白帶水平 如此想法 不出為奇

  • @nasri Very true do to me being big and powerful naturaly The biggest thing i learned was to be relaxed because i dont need to use it And honestly that was the hardest part of learning the style for me and my dad who is also my instructor showed me the hard way that he can beat me every time with out useing any power at all

  • @nasri Yeah, the big bald dude is a dick.

  • what a dumbass. okawa's ashi waza could have killed him as soon as they made contact.

  • it was a ippon okwa wins

  • This pretty boy isn't anything special.

  • If that guy in blue really has a lot of experience in mma, then he should be able to sweep him because his opponent is pretty fat. Fat guys can't handle sweeps. I can say that from 9 years of experience in sweeping fat guys.

  • @mmajudojjr

ok, so how come fedor has never really been sweeped, and how come he does all the seeping? it doesnt have anything to do with being fat. it has to do with center of balance which comes with years of training. ive seen fat people beat lean people in amateur wrestling matches all of the time. you dont have to be lean to be a good grappler.

  • @mmajudojjr actually, it's harder to sweep fat people because their center mass is heavier and more power is needed for the technique. Also, most MMA fighters are horrible at sweeps or trips. Most guys rely on their wrestling and shoot for double leg takedown, etc. That's why many MMA fighters are incorporating no-gi style Judo throws & sweeps to combat the lack of sweeps that's in MMA these days.

  • you cant learn judo in a matter of months... you can't learn any sport that fast

so don't challenge fuckin masters in that art

  • As a tall guy , I always felt the short, stockier guys had the advantage in Judo w their lower centre of gravity. Are there any tall, thin just champions?

  • @Andybaby Anton Geesink [ht. 6'6"- wt. 320lbs]

  • @PankrationWarrior

Geesink was a giant mass of muscle. I mean tall /slim ectomorph (?) body shape.

  • I feel like there's some tension between those two main characters... & they're super lame. The both of them. Total TV guys.

  • they suck man

  • theese idiots call it epon its ippon

  • you guys are retarded laughing & saying he got beat, and all this bs. the whole point of the show was to showcase how cool and unique judo is. ive watched a few judo fights and guys go ape shit on eachother, not sparring around like this.

jason is 18-5 in pro mma fights, wtf do u think the judo guy is gonna do in a real fight after he throws jason down, pin him? oo thats cool, wonder what his throws are gonna do for him after he gets knocked in the face.

  • @le2key talk is cheap punk how about you come down to north carolina and show us how judo is so worthless u have no idea about judo you dont know crap not even the first thing about judo

  • @TheLastSamuraiTyler whoaaa keep your dick outta ur ass there bud, i never said judo was worthless infact im a huge of judo. what you might have missed is that fact that i was going off on the comments on here that were talking bullshit about that match between jason and that japanese guy. not judo itself, yah cunt.

  • @TheLastSamuraiTyler look I know that he means well and he does have a point that if a guy starts kicking, punching and keeps a distance between him and the Judoka, good chance the judoka will lose BUT as I told him earlier, if the Judoka closes the distance, that guy has very little chance to survive the fight.

  • @le2key if a judoka closes a distance and throws you with lets say a powerful and clean uchimata or Ippon Seio Nage onto the ground, there's a good chance you will be knocked out (KO) if not KO than definitely shocked for at least 2-4 seconds + bodily damage (broken ribs, hip, shoulder, etc). During the 2-4 seconds that you're in shock the judoka can either gain distance or proceed to the ground into a submission and trust me during the 2-4 seconds you wont have any idea of what's happening.

  • When you walk into a Japanese judo school, every single one of them will look at you and think 'Foreigner'.

In Japan 'Foreigner' implies 'About to die'

  • Jason Chambers got owned in this match. His commentary was to make him look better than he really was. Jason = fail.

  • Damn, Tai Otoshi for the third ippon, FTW!!!

  • @NuheroX totally dude his uchimata wasnt to bad either my favorite throw is harai goshi

  • Dude you suck if you cant move your opponent than go for the legs GOD im 14 freakin years old and have no experience just me and my cousins fightin it out and i can kick the crap out of you

  • What bullshit at 4:04 he says he goes for an arm bar. But really just goes for a triangle choke. At 5:05 he says he goes for a sacrifice THROW but just tries a flying arm bar instead. At 6:20 he just flops to his back. This guy didn't even try judo he just wanted to prove that BJJ is better and he got out classed. Jason Chambers is a BJJ guy from 10th planet jiu jitsu under eddie bravo. A brown belt. And he got out classed by a simple black belt judoka. Hmm......

  • @PankrationWarrior Well, in my opinion all of those moves Jason tried looked like "pulling guard" which is up the BJJ alley... he looked pathetic. I sure wanted to see the Judoka proceed to newaza (ground grappling) instead of stalling on purpose.

  • @pcjudosambo He stalled on purpose to represent Japanese Judo as the art of throwing.

  • @PankrationWarrior possible but everyone knows Judo is not the art of throwing. Based on what I read before, over 30% of Judo fights end on the ground via pin or submission. So it's wrong to say that Judo is an art of throwing. This guy simply wanted to prove that JiuJitsu people can't throw if their lives depended on it, that's all ... he said I want to use Judo strategy, meaning, throw and win via ippon.

  • You fucking dumb azzez need to take your juvenile and sissy internet arguments else where. This is about martial arts. You retards. Stay on this video or get the fuck out. I hate online sissies who argue with people. Such bitches.

  • 3 Ippons, The Japanese fellow basically beat the hell out of him.

  • In holland we call him; an anus... ;-)

  • You can't throw or sweep an experienced Judoka when you got a Gi on, this is fighting on their terms.

In his situation, the only way he would have to to shoot the legs, not use throwing techniques against someone who could do them far better, let alone the Gi issue.

Once on the ground it would be foregone conclusion, as long as you do it under their "time limit"

    Jason couldn't do that either.

  • knocking some one using hippon is crazy, u guys gotta try

  • i've done judo for a long time , if u put ur head down ur fucked

  • aww pore american boy, you didnt stand a chanse^^

  • signature MMA move ?, Triangle choke ? so he obviously doesnt know that the 'triangle choke' also known as sankaku jime was taken from judo into brazilian jiu jitsu as were most brazilian jiu jitsu techniques.

  • @jonesayy triangle choke was even used in pangration in the olympics game's

    400 b.c

  • @jonesayy Exactly man, it's just a simle translation

  • @jonesayy oh wasnt the triangle taken from japanese jujitsu and then from jap jujitsu judo was created?

  • @cptprice14 yes you are correct, nice to see some people actually study martial arts instead of just train in them, sankaku jime was most probably taken from the Tenjin Shin'yō-ryū which was the main influence in kano's judo. its self an amalgamation of Yōshin-ryū and Shin no Shinto-ryu.

  • @jonesayy I Don't really do brazilian or japanese jiu jitsu though. I do a style of jiu jitsu called 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu. Are You Familiar With it? It was created by eddie bravo.

  • @jonesayy MMA has developed into a very commercial sport, so by signature move i think he just meant that a triangle is identified very heavily in MMA. i see your point but its really not a big deal.

  • @jonesayy Yeah dude I hate to hear this in mma every time: everybody thinks armbars, chokes and postions like mount or side control come form bjj >__>

  • @jonesayy most people don't know that BJJ is Judo with more focus on knife defense with emphasis on the ground game. BJJ was originally Judo taught to a gracie grand son. =) but you right. BJJ is judo

  • @jonesayy Any way, it is a signature MMA move. If he didn't know it also existis in judo he wouldn't use, because in judo you cant use moves that doesn't exists in it.

  • how did they even think this was gonna work, The guy was rock, a standing rock that threw people like cotton

  • They had no chance, i practice judo and no white belt can ever throw a black belt. "i missed by inches" bullshit.

  • the warrior made of tape

  • This fight is stupid. He had him set up for a tri-angle and the Judo guy sat around held onto a gi (anyone else feel we arnt stuck hundreds of years back ??)

  • @fcuk4220 The guy didnt do it right, he had shit lol

  • Okawa has 30-35 lbs on this guy. Difference mostly muscle. Kudos to the 'kid'guy for taking him on.. and he showed good character too

  • Man, that last throw had a nice solid thump XD

  • I think after that last Tai-Otoshi, Ogawa came down with his elbow into the ribs. You see Jason holding his ribs at the end? He was totally toying with Jason. What do you expect though. Ogawa was a National champ at one point. He never made A level judo though. I believe he was B or C level.

  • Comment removed

  • @k0d0kan I never heard of levels in Judo, what are they?

  • at 5:38 if he would have brought his left foot into his right knee he would have a reverse triangle, not as tight but can control enough for a kimura on the opposite side, thats what he was talking about

  • Epic MMA fail.

  • Lol, this whole thing is stupid. That guy didn't almost catch anything on the black belt.

  • lol the triangle choke and the flying armbar weren't even close I can tell

  • @ThomasMin1988 yeah, the 'I missed by inches' about the flying armbar was total bollocks lol 6:21

  • Tokai is one of the top 3 leading judo programs in all of Japan. Of course they will get their @ss handed to them. Its just like someone visiting Ohio State or Duke and asking to practice with their varsity basketball team

  • would so like to see how Bill Duff would fair...

Think that kind of thing would be a visual treat that would never get old.

Like a child fighting with gravity on a swing and loosing (always funny).

Besides, can you really see the Japanese allowing some round eye wannabes get the better of then in a sport/grappling system they invented...?

  • (1) Big guy said "I think I can push him all over the place". This would result in you being owned with several other backward momentum throws. Judo is based on disrupting balance and utilizing momentum. So you were apparently already missing the point. (2) Men bow with their hands on the side. Women bow with hands in front. (3) Missed the leaping arm by inches? Com'n dude, you weren't even close.

  • Lol, ippawn XD

Dude got ippwned, that's for sure :p

  • haha "missed it by inches" more like feet

  • that tai otoshi at the end was fucking gorgeous

with technique & timing like that, it feels like the guy is jumping for you

  • The judo guy is like totally stable no matter how much the guy in blue is pushing.

  • wow I thought he was going to tape his dick to the side of leg next. >.>

  • lol almost had choke haha

  • it is a myth judo is not coming from battlefield this is fairy tales...im sorry

  • @KAMAERUE If I Recall my history correctly, it was created by a Mr. G Kano (hope that's the correct way round sure Trad. Japanese names should have the surname first) who wanted to do Jujtisu... but due to his height, he wasn' t really taken seriously. He found the best JJ school by following the trail of broken bones and chatting to doctors.

Judo was derived from Jujitsu, which was most certainly used on the battlefield (look at ancient Japanese silk paintings).

  • Ohkawa literally beat him three times! One Ippon means it's over.

  • dude in the blue is so wack. I can't believe he went into this match thinking he had a chance. The nerve of him smh

  • hahaha " i have more technique and speed than him "

    ahhaha

  • okawa was going at 10% if that, silly americans.

  • Jason trains nogi. He was out of his element.

  • The American has really bad posture, he leans in to take hold of the guy rather than moving his whole body in to keep his posture.

  • i love the way he calls him "hollywood" lol he puts a gum shield in then the baldy goes "good match hollywood" haha what a pussy

  • Definitely not a chance in front of Okawa!

  • I don't know what these guys expect. They are sparring agains black belts in their own martial arts. Why do they not ask to spar green belts, or even orange belts, for sport, (not lethal competition) to see the identity of the art. The blacks have big egos to protect......of course they're not going to take it easy on these TV guys. come on.

  • Comment removed

  • @freespadersuggs He took it easy, thats how much of a difference in ability there was.

  • @freespadersuggs That's the point of these things. These guys want to show us how hard it is to be a true master and to show respect for the art. They could just have the football player go and wreck some scrub every time if they wanted to.

  • @freespadersuggs

I would hope they expect to learn or have an amazing expierence, if not both.

  • okawa could have launched that first guy way earlier...... -___-

  • damn he got owned

  • "He is good at ground technique" ..No he really isnt. One of the Gracie's said "The better grappler will dominate against the weaker one" and it 's true, see past episodes where they learn strikes and they go almost toe to toe, because of the strength, but grappling is pure technique

  • haha wut duche, american juijitsu fag, he probably put tape on his dick too

  • haha wut duche, american juijitsu fag, he probably put tape on his dick too

  • @saweet999 haha he put like tape round each finger, only to get thrown straight away haha what a prick

  • What the fuck is a e-pon i think its a ippon you dick!

  • He's taping up like he's fighting for the gold medal. The Judoka toyed with him the entire time.

LOL. This guy is such a tool. "He got me with a move I should have seen coming..." This is priceless.

  • Is this guy kidding us? I actually think that Okawa was going easy on the guy. This guy's comments are stupidities like: "this guy is like a rock", "I can't move him", "it is easier to move you than him", "Judo is very technical", "I am going to stay out of his comfort zone" bla, bla, bla... This is a joke!

  • @papichulilibanes

That is what all BJJ students will say.
