From 2006 to 2008 she just never hit her floor routine. She hit it at Visa's in '08, and got it right from then ever since. I think that sums up her whole career since 06 really.
they're really hard on nastia. i think she did pretty well. not many people can even do a cartwheel and she can do all that. even tho she made a few mistakes here and there i still think shes amazing. ILY NASTIA <3
@MelissaLovesStyle it doesn't matter that not many people can do a cartwheel because they are not gymnasts competing at the visa championships. her floor was messy and she changed so many of her tumbling passes. doesn't mean she's not a good gymnast but her floor wasn't very good.
she usually performs really well on floor, but i think this is one of her worst performances, it almost looked like she was making up her tumbling passes as she went.
i am praying to god she gains so consistency on difficult tumbling by the olympics because the floor routine she competed at worlds i don't think will be enough to win her the all around.
yah she will. i put in her EF beam score and replaced it with her beam score in AA finals and then i added .8 to her floor score cuz she fell out of bounds. her score tied with shawn's. i wish she would have had this tumbling at the 07 worlds.
@eMthegymnast If you're talking about the 2007 AA (which your context implies), that's bogus. Why would you have added 0.8 to her floor score? She stepped out of bounds, that's one tenth. A fall is 0.8, she didn't fall.
she should do an illusion on beam. i think she improvised on that last pose. she often does not have enough time to do a pose at the end and in prelims i dont think that ws her ending pose. hehe its kinda funny. she was under pressure and had to think of a fast pose.
but, it's american cup and they always OVER score. plus, no woman received a score that high on floor at this most recent worlds...i doubt that nastia would receive that high internationally
As I said in the beginning, I love her. I could not be prouder. She is the one I was pulling for the most. Her victory was made sweeter by the fact that she hit floor so consistently inspite of her past. So, I couldn't be happier to be proven wrong. GO NASTIA!
