  • jim shouldve cracked pew in the face with that cane, but I love the dust plume that comes out of his clothes when he hits him in the stomach

  • One of the best movies of all time. Thanks so much for uploading :-)

Oh, btw, I know a lot of people have asked about how to get the soundtrack to this movie. Unfortunately, this does not have a soundtrack (at least to my knowledge), but the Chieftains did release an album called The Chieftains Film Cuts which has 8 tracks from Treasure Island on it. It also has scores from several others movies. It's really good, and if you're a fan of this music you should definitely give it a try :-)

  • 2 people are retards

  • GREAT GREAT MOVIE---- HESTON'S SON DIRECTED IT

  • Hahaha 6:30 his glasses fall off...

  • Dr. Livsey was a time traveling alien who later had a nemesis called simply, "the Doctor"

  • He's been overhauled, aloft and find the chest ! LOL

  • Can't beat English acting. Great

  • LOL Jim's mom reminds me of Ron's Mom in the Harry Potter movies .

  • @michaelforthriller It probably is her:)

  • I have always been haunted by the tap, tapping of the cane of Blind Pew...

  • I agree that this version is the best and most faithful to the book. However, one little thing always bothered me about this scene here. In the book, Israel Hands and Tom Morgan are not mentioned as being amongst the pirates who attack the inn. Jim and his mother are clearly watching what's going on once they make it safely to the woods. Not to mention Pew clearly calls out their names. You would think Jim would recognize Israel and Tom on board the Hispanola.

  • Man, Christian Bale was an ugly kid.

  • @Studmeister17 In all honestly, I think he made a better kid than he did a man. He is very rude now.

  • my favorite version of this film..next to the muppets lol

  • Omg i never knew! that one eye pew was Christopher Lee! OMG :O

  • Why does everyone keep sniffing the oil-skin packet the map is in? xDD

  • The doctor says 'oh dear'...The new England version would be 'aw shit'.

  • I agree that this is a fabulous version of the film. I must agree, though, that Heston rather spoils it for me. It's his acting I personally don't care for- he just seems always the same in all his movies, and I just don't buy him as Long John. But we all have our own taste in actors.

  • I don't understand. I've read some of the most vitriolic hate filled comments about this move and Heston as Long John. Treasure Island has been one of my favorite novels for 50 years (and yes, I've read Hesse and Forrester, etc) and this version does the book great service. Heston, Oliver Reed, Christopher Lee, Richard Johnson, Christian Bale? What the hell do people want? And I don't give a damn if Heston wanted to own a rifle or not, he was terrific as Long John!

  • @yamsid Amen and well said, he did the best job anyone has ever done as Long John.

  • One question: Let's suppose they manage to keep it a complete secret and avoided Long John Silver and his men in the first place and had an honest (and oblivious) crew to begin with. How on earth would they manage to explain to the crew when they come upon 700,000 British Pounds worth of treasure in mid 18th century money? It's not like 'ooh, what luck! Let's load it aboard and go home'.

It always bothered me that way.

  • The soundtrack for this movie is awesome!

    Thanks for uploading! ;D

  • No matter what role Julian Glover plays I feel I can never fully trust him, blame it on Indiana Jones I guess. haha.

    Still a great actor though!

  • @getback9691 I always worry he's going to get thirsty again and sip the wrong drink.

  • I think Blind Pews death is really sad.

  • @Tsogobauggi Yeah, while he might have been tough and strong, his final moments of calling out 'don't leave old Pew!' never ceased to tug my heart strings even if he was a pirate.

  • I love how when Mrs.Hawkins rifle-butts Pew, a cloud of dust flies off of him! Motherfucker needs a bath!

  • Thank You so much for uploading. Love christian bale so much. Am studying him at the mo in Film Studies. Once again thank you. x

  • It would see it was customary to sniff dirty old maps back in the day lol

  • I wish the Chieftains had included "The Wise Maid" and "Star of the County Down" on the film reels album, what a shame that was!

  • Where is

     part 1 and 2

  • @ryanwhitelock91 it has a different name

    treasure island 1990 christian bale

  • 5:13 They could use a lansky!

  • I want this on DVD. :P

  • Where was 'Squire Trelawney's house' filmed?

  • LOL "oh dear" 3:05

  • @chickenassasintk XD Livsey, you hardened physician you...

  • @chickenassasintk hahaha that's one way to put it......

  • Amazing how scary Blind Pew is in the book and on screen here, for his few moments overall. This film is perfection.

  • @peggygeordie No matter how many times I see this movie that first bit where you just hear his cane tapping still gives me the creeps.

  • @thejustnosy, you are absolutely right.... It's the fear of the unknown, the isolation... and then when he appears, the reality is even creepier than you imagined, because it plays with your brain - even as he does his "poor Pew" routine, he's ready to strike like a snake.

  • Good Christ...How'd ya like ta have that guy after ya?...Even if he is blind...

  • this rox my sox off lol. Jim Hawkens (christian bale) is coolios!

  • epic movie
