You obviously do care. After a little over a century of occupation, the Eastern Euro princes managed to raise an army big enough to fight the Khan. The battle was Kulikovo Polye and a Mongol army between 150-300 thousand was anihilated by a Slavic army two thirds its size. By some miracle their leader managed to escape tot he Crimea. This led to the eventual dispersal of Mongol control over Europe and the later abdication of the last Crimean Khanate. You should care.

They had several battles like this... I believe the guys who i am standing closer to at the start are the 'good guys' and they won almost every time... There was one battle their leader died and killed the other leader as he did. It was funny and cool.

Thanks! I've never seen a midevil battle re-enactment before, other than on TV. It looks pretty awesome. In your opinion is there another must-see one on Youtube that you think I should watch?

can't say i watch them very much... This one was really cool in person. As far as youtube goes. No idea... The chance of me seeing this one in person was 1 in a billion. I went to Germany to see friends and a friend took me there.

Hey BC, If your friends set you up and volunteered you to put on that armor and carry the weapons, would you have done it? Maybe after quite a few beers, I could picture myself out there, but that's a big MAYBE.

Well...I guess when you were a kid, your Mom didn't say to you as mine did everytime she caught me swinging a stick, using a fake sword, a sling shot, BB gun etc... "You'll put (your/someones) eye out with that." LOL.! Engraved those words into my head, but I'd still do it. So...I guess I'd probably be out there too.

I know this is ages old but, depends in what country you are going to fight, not everywhere do they have same rules and not everywhere are they really violent. For example, if you are going to reenact in Norway, you can do it naked (don't take it TOO literally of course), but if you're fighting in Russia, you should arm yourself to the teeth.

in 1000 yaers of Polish history there wasn't any battle when Germans were in minority and they win, but there were few battles when Poles where in minority and they win-Cedynia, Psie Pola, Głogów etc.Our first king Bolesław Chrobry(Brave)destroyed 3 germans attacks on Polish lands(his father destroyed 1)his son 1,unfortunatly in 2nd war with germans he fought also with Russians(i don't know what is english name of "Rusini")Czech,that is why lost
