@sofieHLamberg This WAS a bit too much, but seriously, a lot of people in Stockholm (especially Lidingö, Östermalm, Danderyd) have lost the core of the Swedish language. The "r" is barely audible anymore and a lot of people sound like wimps. Remember that Swedish was like Icelandic in the Viking ages.

@coolmkdmacedonia Don't mislead him. Swedes talk so fast that the G becomes silent in "Jag", but that is the incorrect way of saying it. It's the same with "Är", swedes usually drop the R. When you're trying to learn a foreign language you should start by seeing the words as they are instead of in a sentence. Then when you get more used to the language you will start dropping letters when you speak and words will blend into eachother and create slightly differerent pronouncations.

it's hard to explain what you can practice, but maybe pronounce the consonants less, more soft.. xP? try to listen to swedish and imitate. One word I heard which was wrong was "säga" , you pronounce the "g" wrong, it should be like a "y" in "maybe" more like 'säja', otherwise it's okay :)
