  • "this will look great on the shelves right next to my DOLLS !!" lol XD

  • All of these Tamiya R/C's were/are re-released. Great episode!

  • WOW! That's Peter Billingsley

  • 明らかに滅茶苦茶なプロポ操作なのにベテラン走行w

    でもカメラワークや編集は上手い!

  • U roll over and you're out of the race, lol.

  • Kid in the black hat is Ralphy from the Christmas Story!

  • I LOVED THIS EPISODE!!! <3 PUNKY POWEEEERRRR!

  • Triva: Sherrys Grandmother on the show was played by her real life Grandmother.

  • Even though the frog won. I think the hornet would be the fastest best handling one of the buch. And I have driven them all except for the willys wheeler and the fast attack. My hornet rocked though!

  • this richmond kid looks like male version of margo lol

  • out of all the epesodes i had to watch thanks to my sister when we was kids lol this one was one i actually liked

  • The last time I heard dialogue this stiff was when Bush told us why were invading Iraq.

  • Is Richmond played by Peter Billingsly?

  • where r the marshals??!

  • who can name all these R/C's???

  • From from to back of grid as seen at 7 seconds in, we have Subaru Brat , SuperChamp , The Hornet , The Frog, Mitsubishi Pajero , and Fast Attack Vehicle . All original release models of course. All made by Tamiya. Being a Tamiya fan I am obsessed by all these models LOL Cheers, Alistair G.

  • Are you sure its The Frog? (Is that the one Punky's driving?)

  • @hanspf23 Yes I am very sure indeed that Punky's car is The Frog. Look carefully at the car and also look at the box it comes in (note how they covered up some things like the writing of "The Frog" but still kept the Frog logo and Tamiya's logos visible and it still says "The Frog" above the windscreen (windshield) on the "metal" plate that comes down over the "roll bars" ! I should know, I have 2 re-release Frog's myself. Cheers, LSM.

  • @hanspf23 Note that it has some hop up parts. You may notice CRP written on the inside cover of that looks to be Mr. Matze's tool box, so I think there are some CRP parts on the cars. Punky's car has hop up front shocks and shock tower and front bumper. Note also the Tamiya hump pack (I have 10 of them NIB LOL) which means you cannot use the body of the driver only the head. BTW also note that Punky isn't driving it, a member of the MRC-Tamiya crew are! Cheers, Alistair G. (LSM)

  • @LiveSteamMad Thanks for the info man! This episode was always my favorite as a child because of the R/C-cars, but I had only seen the last part (part 3) until today. When I watched part 1 it's obvious it's The Frog (ref. the box) ;-)

  • @LiveSteamMad The CRP parts makes sense as it doesn't look quite like the original Frog. And I always knew the kids didn't drive the cars themselves (by look of how they handle the radio controllers). I never owned a Tamiya (yet) but I have the Nikko Rhino/Bison F-10, modded with lots of extra parts! 80s retro. Good times.. Cheers

  • @LiveSteamMad Yep you got it, these are old school Tamiya classics from the 80's!!! I had the Hornet and the Grasshopper!! My friend had the Silver Fox.Tamiya still sells these cars here in 2011!! they call it their classic line now..LOL Aside from their newer cars on the market today!!!

  • Tamiya Power

  • Punky Power FTW!!!

  • LOL @ Allen when his rc crashing, he's like "GOD DAMN IT!"

  • hey ralphie!! don't shoot your eye out!! lol

  • i seen this when i was like 10. had a hornet and a frog. i now have 20 r/c's.

  • I don't know why, but this episode reminds of RC Pro Am for the old NES!

  • my brushless rc10 would eat your frog punky

  • man such sexism jeeze

  • good stuff, this was my favorite episode ever! i had a tamiya blackfoot, then got an rc-10 for xmas!

  • I also wanted the Super Champ pretty bad. Good to see most of the old Tamiya 80's classics in this vid.

  • Seeing these cars line up. WOW! I remember seeing this episode when it aired and my dad was helping me assemble the Subaru Brat and then a few months later the Hornet....which I just purchased as a re-release. Thanks for uploading this video.

  • The car she drove was the Tamiya frog. It is available now as a re-release. The red car sitting on the bench is the Hot Shot. I always wanted one of those when I was a kid.

  • Had 2 of those cars is 1985...they were fun but needed lots of parts replaced all the time. I see that Tamiya offers some of those very same models today...I bet they worked out the bugs by now. I saw this episode in 1985 only because it was my sister's turn to watch a show and I'm glad I saw it too!

  • Yes, Tamiya re-released this car - called "The Frog" - in 2005 almost the same as the original, but the sponsor decals are different, as is the box art, the green GRP front plate (now black), the rear shocks, the chassis (slightly), the motor, the body (rear window switch now gone), & the screws and fixings, mechanical speed controller (now ESC), resistors (gone), and resistor plate (gone). Because of this I bought the original parts and used them to return my own new Frog to the original car.

  • Also, as you can see the real reason for my posting this video is that I am an RC (Radio Controlled) car addict. Cheers, Alistair G. (Live_Steam_Mad)

  • This was one of my favorite episodes! Go Punky!

  • you stole my comment! lol

  • aw, Henry always comes through in the end.

  • when all fails....cheat

  • why can,t the dirtbike kid just shut up and

    race

  • Her tits grew huge as she entered adolescence. Had to be surgically reduced - shame!

  • You have to be a lady to know what it feels like to carry something like that all the time, such as back problems. Nobody deserves back problems.

  • Indeed. And, to be honest, I don't like 'em too big anyway.

  • The "character" was possibly not written to wear glasses...

  • This was a cute ep. Thanks for posting.

  • One question I have is why is Peter Billingsley not wearing his glasses, because in A Christmas Story and The Dirt Bike Kid he wear's glasses, also this was only a year later after The Dirt Bike Kid.

  • There are other methods of correcting vision problems, eg contact lenses and laser surgery.

  • Yeah thats true, but in other movies and show's that he is in after this one he is wearing glasses, eg Russikes.

  • well maybe contacts but not laser eye because laser eye u have to be 18
