  • wow..thats all i got

  • crowd goes wild sent me here

  • the fact that rugby isn't this good anymore has led me so far into rugby league territory. Can't stand the this knew style of play, boring as hell.

This shit here is just pure class.

  • Magic.

  • umaga,cullen,lomu.....three of the best! New Zealand was blessed with these guys in the back line!

  • this signifies the beauty of rugby!!!

  • best try iv ever seen

  • was number 14 doug howlett?

  • @mustainerulesxx doug howlett??

LOOOOLLL That is the one and only Tana Umaga

    (and I'm Aussie)

  • best set-piece try i've seen.

  • its a pity none of this tactical running rugby exist now...so sick of the kicking ping pong bullshit game that exist today. Hope the allblacks will go back to this

  • could not agree more.

  • THIS is how rugby should be played. It's absolutely wonderful to see rugby in this fashion!

  • i know the move looked real cool but it still left umaga with a one on one but he easily jammed the 2nd 5..

  • @yh thats true but the guy was off balance, he kinda shifted left nd got a bit wrong footing, spose it wouldnt really of mattered cause umaga woulda gone straight through him anyway haha

  • even when jonah runs decoy he still cant be tackled

  • easily the greatest set piece try ever

  • man on man yes but it left the D flat footed and staggered... tana, lomu and cullen always attracted plenty of attention on their own that's the key to the move. 2nd 5 was closing the door when lomu cut back by the time they could react cullen was shutting the gate.. lol

  • yep good analysis lkvhkjhvdfhv.... if your a women

  • i retract my comments..i saw the whole try on another page...all coming from a lineout...was so clinical...like a training drill...other page gave a *behind the goalpost* view...looked awesome the way it was setup...

  • @lkvhkjhvdfhv can you tell me where you saw the other video? can't find it anywhere! thanks

  • ate thats the kings at there best dont kea what any one says

  • magic. lol who was the coach back then?

  • john hart or wayne smith...looks like hart era...he was an attacking coach smith defensive...i could be wrong :P

  • I believe it was Wayne Smith who was coaching as this was in 2000.

  • ah...cool

  • i dont think your giving this move justice. it is a fantastic move. the amount of space created by the dummy maul and soft hand switches is huge. umaga had about 3 meters width to run into and would have broken through even without a running start.

  • its a good move...but ill say it again...after all those dumies n raps all it achieved was a 4-4..aussie did a great job on D...but it was WEAK D from the 2nd5...with cullies blistering support...if the aussie D squeezed in a man the 2nd 5 would had plenty of time to cover the backdoor

  • good move,...abit too complex...the ABS got abit lucky...the aussies did well marking up on that considering the amount od switches and dummies...all it broke down to was a 1 on 1 missed tackle via umaga who did well to run n fend so aggressively...the 2nd 5 was weak from oz...nevertheless...their defensive pattern was sound

  • How can it be too complex? It worked, it was the right amount of complex.

  • Stop That!!!

  • Jesus what a move lol!

  • waat a move

only the best team in the world can perform that

  • we tried to do it at trainings..once it worked and the opponent team had no idea where the ball was ! :D:D (Y)(Y)

  • Even to execute it during an actual game is difficult.

  • lmao at fireking345 yeah you're probably right cullen and lomu lol...all i care is you're only as good as ya last game n we flogged aussies n zen south africa put 53 points on em lol....maybe next year aussies...and the next.....and the next...lmao

  • Great passing in this move...wish we could see more of this type of play these days.

  • What about the shepherd?

  • what sheperd? they formed a quick maul which is legal to suck in the defence to feed umaga on the burst he then fed it to Cullen who scored.

  • Point taken...

  • imho it was a nicely constructed try something you'd expect the Aussie to do to us, which they have over the years curtesy of larkham, horan, little gregan, mortlock campese they have had so many skilful backs over the years.

  • yeah tru tru...but i think we just needed two...Cullen and Lomu..xD haha

  • Wheres the obstruction when

    1. A rolling Maul has been formed

    2. no one even impeded or intervened a player?...

U need to watch the footage a gain n getcha facts str8....

Thats one of the best set plays i've ever seen n tops of with a great try from possibly all blax best fullback ever CULLEN

  • You mean the best fullback in the Professional era and even possibly of all times

  • I've been looking around for this try for awhile. It is my favourite All Black try ever, I remember wathcing it when i was a kid.

  • hahaha, mate spot on, my fav try i watched as a kid, ive been looking for years but i finally found it.

  • awesome...

no obstruction - no defenders were touched

  • OMFG why haznt anybody said anything about this?lol what about obstruction?Hmmmm
