That is literally impossible since you would lose health too fast when the C&C center explodes. Also when you take the hidden shortcut after the first boss. I've done it on casual but I'll try it on harder difficulties to see what the hardest you can do it is on.

This type of game is by far my favorite. I really wish that this genre would make its way back to the big productions, rather than just as Arcade titles. My reason for this is that because the level design can really take off, as can be seen here, and in the game Trine. Plus, the discs that games are stored on now would allow for humongous maps and outrageous game times. But, unfortunately, that doesn't seem very likely any time soon. :/

EXACTLY what I was thinking. I mean, if they were huge maps on cartridges with tons of little secrets and sequence breaks, etc., The possiblities with the disc space nowadays are damn near limitless. they should take a look at the closeups in 0:13 and 0:15. thats how a typical ue3 game looks but at the same time they typically show MUCH more of the screen and with more stuff on screen the gpu has more to work so its pretty much a little miracle they made it this detailed.

and it is never 2d its all 3d, only the camera position and level design make it a sidescroller.
