in all honesty hasegawa legs were pretty fucked and the stoppage was a great decision...for a normal fight. this is a championchip match and hasegawa still had the will to fight. at the very least the ref shouldve let him go out once more.

Gonzales had a pretty nice tactic going on here. A deep straight right and a looping left hook is a typical and one of the most effective techniques to use against a southpaw. It almost seems like Gonzales was used to fighting against southpaw. And Hasegawa wasn't used to that.

I thought it was a good stoppage. Hasegawa's legs were wobbly and he was stumbling around just trying to stay upright. He was in a bad state and with plenty of time remaining on the clock, he would have taken some big shots. He suffered a really bad knockout not long ago and the last thing he needs is another serious injury or perhaps even permanent damage.
