BiPolar sucks. I have it and it is why I work for myself. I have real up days and real down days. That part of it is no fun at all. BUT the up side is that BP people are very often VERY creative on their upswings. Which is how I am. I am not 'consistent' as workaday society wants me to be, but I also invented the thing I make my living with! I have customers all over the nation that appreciate what I do. when I was 18/20's I just wanted to die. No pills; my healing, is staying busy creative.
