Im currently watching the dvd of Tragedia Endogonidia and am finding it difficult to watch and listen to. Very abrasive and horrifying in parts. I want to make sense of it somehow, so that I don't find it so scary, but I really am grasping at straws. I just don't really get it.
what a lot of rubbish thisiskc!!! Every artist has his own way of pushing boundaries in theatre and they have the right to. How can you call anyone an Idiot? Have you seen his work live? I personally think this guy is brilliant! and it makes me laugh that you are affected by his comments. Its sounds like your taste in theatre are very commercial and not used to European theatre were we have a voice and can express stage artistry in what ever we want.
.............I think as I'm going to bed I am writing the beginning of a dream...or a nightmare.......it will also be a play.............dAmN...it's already been made [Matrix]; so is this how people ended up connected to HUGE computers, by starting to be connected to "tiny" computers, then small TV, and so on?...
.............you give up a nail & you end up losing your entire arm.............
...what has made us be to live as much as humans can live, to be able to rationalize life, as to think what is best or worse to share or not with other beings, to differ from differen points (if you'll forgive the repetition), is useless and everyone seems to be happily behaving as if they were not reasonable.......
I TOTALLY agree with 'thisiskc'. I may add that theatre cannot be meaningless, as when you try to represent something (as a director or even as an actor) you may want to mean something to you and the audience; otherwise it is useless.......it is like avoiding thinking, as if our best gift :

Part 1: Romeo is an idiot. Anyone who describes themselves as a creator of "meaningless theater" is a hack and an idiot. There is no such thing as art without meaning. You can't stage random acts of meaningless and call it art. I've been a theater artist for years, worked with many award winning artists and there is nothing more powerful than a good storyteller. If you can't communicate clearly to an audience then you are a coward who can't take ownership of a point of view. (continued)
a bunch of rather problematic claims that should not even be further commented on. clearly you have a different understanding of art then the one being exercised by signore romeo. which is fine. but to call him an idiot displays a severe lack of taste, manners, understanding and ...well ... intelligence.
Well, he has some good ideas and the esthetic part is flawless but he often results to impressionisms and misses the point. I was not touched by his plays.

It's "Spiegel Im Spiegel", by Arvo Pärt. It's one of the most beautiful pieces of music I ever heard. Pärt is really wonderful composer!
