On the Jews being polytheistic. Like I said it's a theory. You do know what theory means yes? There's no proof they were always monotheistic either.

As for your saying "irregardless," I wasn't sure if you were aware you'd done it. Some people make a faux pas like that without meaning to, and that seems to be the case here.

@Federalist57 You would be whistling a different tune in 1500 BCE, worshiping a very different version of your Semitic God. The Shasu, Canaanites, Israelites were strongly influenced by Sumerians and Egyptians and no doubt (in my mind) borrowed notions of God from each other and those civilizations. Still, your version of faith is yours and so be it. Besides, most of those who have taken up Asatru or Forn Seðr probably still believe Þorr was really the son of Óðinn. Religions evolve.

In case you haven't noticed Jesus is as much myth as Thor is. The only thing surviving about Jesus is the Bible, and even then it's a story book as much as any of the sagas and lays of the Germanic people.

@mendezfocus To say who rules is a matter of perception and seeing as religion has no proof in itself it is based on faith it is equally justified to say Thor rules as it is Jesus. Even if christianity is a major religion it dosent mean it is the only right path, each person has their own path therefor each person has their own ruler. And the fact that you say one who thinks thor rules must live in a cave is very insulting and truely only shows your own ignorance to growing paganism
