Well...I have the all episodes that are on DVD (That would be all 18 episodes) and someone sent me a copy of episode 19 ...THE SCRIPT!! And boy is it good!! you have to see them all!!

God only knows!!! I have seen all 18 episodes(bought them).  And..I am hungry for more of the Logan family. And I really want to see Marita and Sean get together. I think that they have more episodes that never got aired. And I wish someone would put it onTV.

I was so addicted to this show. When it was cancelled I was so angry I wrote the network many letters trying to convice them to bring it back! This show had a following 10 years ago and it still does today. I wish I could buy these episodes on dvd. They don't make good shows like this anymore. Sean and Marita made a cute, loveable, and BELIEVEABLE couple. I think the fact that this was in interracial romance is what got the show cancelled. You'd think people would have gotten past this by now!!

2dimplzs, I agree with all that you've written here, but I don't believe 'everything' I see nor read when it comes to America finally being 'acceptable' when it comes to these interracial couples, as how many of you here can count on your fingers and toes (as can I) how many of them from tv and soap land, have actually stayed together? On the spanish novelas they're almost non-existant except in Brazil (and recently on a German novela 'Storm of Love' in english).

sweetiepie01, sadly I've been reading in the news that Sharon and her husband have separated, and in the process of getting a divorce. Don't know how much truth there is to it, but when I hear it from her then I'll believe it.

In my family hx in the southeast, if they married into IR relationships, the IR couple had to live on 'black' side of town--the only place for safety and acceptance in the community.

At least nowadays, IR couples can find mixed neighborhoods in which to live. I spent my formative years living on military bases, where there are all kinds of interracial & cross-cultural couples. Many airmen married foreign wives. It was common for kids to have a mom who spoke English as a 2nd language.

I'm with you I grew up on military bases to and I saw IR everywhere. I'm IR of a sorts both my parents are white but my mother is German and my dad is American and when they got married both sides had issues. When I lived in Lousiana i was Off base and ended up with a Grand Wizard of the ### as my nieghbor. Never understood the whole hate over skin color thing.

I'd forgotten all about this series. Another good one tossed aside for garbage shows, and reality crap that means absolutely nothing in the long run. Unfortunately, these interracial relationships last only as fast as you can blink, and that's not saying much about Hollowood as a whole.

Of course, I prefer the kissing one. Is this series rerunning on any channels at this time? How did you acquire the eppy?

Nope. A TV series. This show reminds me of my family's history. My great grandfather was from Ireland. He came here with his family through Ellis Island. He met my great grandmother on a farm in Kenturcky. She was an ex-slave. They married and had 9 children. My grandfather was their eldest child.

In the series Sean moved into his own place in town. I remember an episode where she went to him and they spent a night together.

As for my great grandparents, the man that owned the farm give my great grandfather 10 acres of land & helped him build a house. It's an amazing story. Maybe someday stories like this will be accepted & not swept under the rug. Sean & Martia's story is an American story that the majority of Americans would believe never happened. But it did, I'm living proof.

Aww, ljmcclain, I love stories like that of your great-grandparents. You ever thought about getting as much info as you can about them and writing their story. It would sell. As taboo as IR's are "supposed" to be, people sure love to read or watch them and are fascinated with them. I think they are beautiful.

My GG parents had their tragic moments too. Their third child was lynched. He was to rot in the tree but my GGF found it and with his three of his sons my GF included removed it. It didn't matter that he was half white. He was still a n*gg*r. They were not going to mess with w/GGF enough. He lived by the gun too. He sold the farm, moved his family but they were burned out in their new home. Yet they stayed together. I remember going to her furnal and later hearing the stories and seeing photos.

Ijmcclain, I remember the episode where they'd 'finally' been together, because you'd have thought that Sean, had found the lost fountain of youth from his expression. He looked so 'beyond' happy the transformation was incredible (my all-time favorite scene from the whole show). As for the other two scenes, I don't remember the 'not-kissing' one, only the one featured here. We must find a way to track down 'both' of them, and full episodes of the show as well. I have the whole series on DVD. I would love to put it up but I don't know how. If someone could clue me in I'll spend all the time it takes to do it. That one I have is of the "not kissing." Actually, it works better for the scene because of what they said during the scene but Sean can't live without her so they do get together before the series was cancelled. Networks have to know we want this kind of programming so where they try to show it to us we have to let them know we want it.

I remember being a freak over this show just because of sean and marita's story and about how it was gonna end up. I'm curious to know why it was cancelled. Too bad it was broadcast in France,only on cable TV. But all my friends I talked about it to, were so much into it. Where did u get the DVDs?

blacksportparis, I was excited about this show as well (I still remember the scene where Sean and Marita were finally together), but heard that Channel 9 here in NYC supposedly cancelled it because of low ratings (lots of promos in the beginning, as it got started the promos disappeared). Still trying to find out about DVD's myself (or even VHS tapes if they're still available to copy onto discs).

Which episode or scene was that? I bought the entire 17 episode series. They focused on everyone else but what I thought was the most important story.

I got it on Ebay. I was a little disappointed though, there are only 17 episodes before it was cancelled. It leaves you hanging a bit. Some of the episodes are different, I understand because I did not have Sean and Marita's first kiss.

The consequences could be pretty bad. But if they truly loved each other they fought through it together. IR couples have to have a much deeper level of love. The kind that NOTHING would tear them apart. Not the possibly of terrist attacks, constant fear or death. They had 2 love 2 the point they don't care what happens. A love greater than life. Blacks lived it; whites had to choose it. It's amazing love. Now things are better but back then all I can say is damn, no greater love than this.

It was a TV series that was featured on UPN in early 2000 (I believe.) It only ran for one complete season and then it was canncelled. It was GREAT though.
