Doctor who from 1963-1989 (classic series) was amazing, they may have not had the best effects but the plot of the stories are great. The new series is still good but its more of a pantomine with complete madness and often unexcepted problems.

The series existed from 60ies until the end of 80ies, then was discontinued apart from occasional or non-TV productions, and was resurrected as a TV series in 2005. This particular footage used here is from the 80ies or 70ies, so saying you weren't alive when this was shot is most likely true.
