Personally i prefer the cockpit view, and i drive with no map, no rev counter, no position indicator, only thing i have on the screen is car damage/temp. and lap info.. makes it so much more realistic. especially on expert with 0 driving aids and manual everything... i will be the 1st to admit i am nowhere near close to winning the season.. am struggling to even outqualifiy the other new teams in my VR1

Ive had this game for about a week now and I love it. Ive heard of a lot of ppl say its "arcady"? I don't think it's too arcade like. I mean some of the features like the lighting seem arcady but that possibly trying to show the effects of the brute acceleration of a F1 car. I run with all aids OFF and I can't do one race weekend without spinning or scaring myself cuz I almost spun. I think codemasters did a great job for the balance between hard core player; like me, and a new comer to F1.

@BONZOCAN I agree, codemasters are great at making a game that you can set up to drive like a need for speed (arcade) and progressively bring in settings to make it more and more like a sim. It's impossible not to spin off the kerbs with the TC off if you're too saucy on the throttle!

I love montreal circuit, else I always loved Hockenheim because it is a very face track. Looking forward buying this, HMW were sold out when I went there today. I'll try again next week. I played Grand Prix 4 for maybe over 5-6 years so I hope this will worth it.

@luke2337f1 codemasters havn't realesd the full game yet. thats the beta build as you can see from the upload date.they used 2009 models with mostly 2010 aspects.

Does anybody know if in the 'Live the Life' mode, you get to pick whatever team you drive for or are you set a few of the lower achieving teams to drive for? Then as you progress you get offers from bigger teams e.g. Ferrari, Mclaren, Red Bull...

@Stephen10Sharpy yeah bud... it depends if you do a 3, 5 or 7 year career. With 3 years you will be able to choose from more teams, but in a 7 year you have to start with the lower teams and try to get into the top teams... Or you could stay at a lower team for 7 years and get them as a top team.

The game looks pretty well designed and executed from what I can see. Any of you guys know how much this game will be selling at? Is this the final version of what Codemasters are going to sell? No offence, but didn't they ban outboard mirrors from F1 since the Ferrari F10 has its mirrors modified as well as the Red Bull RB6.

@blindapexes oh yea i see what you mean, yesterday i was driving on montreal on rfactor (a version of montreal thats been updated and made more acurate) and this one the track looks a lot wider... but maybe thats cuz he using hood view, things look smaller from in the cockpit view which i used

@megaspeed2 if u use the included cars that are like F1 on Rfactor they usually dont make the last corner , they hit the curb and hit the wall of champions like 25% of the time LOL!!
