I want to go to NYC so much, since I am 15. Now, I am 27 and I never made it there. This year in November I was so close to it, but my friend who wanted to come with me cancelled the trip, since he needed the collected money for something else. Hope, I make it there in 2011...
Great Video! Brings me closer to NYC than I have ever been, although I saw so many movies and read so many books about NYC. Thank you!
I know this video was added a while back but I just seen it! I LOVED it Shane! My dream is to 1 day Visit NYC and by watching this I feel like I got to. My birthday is New Years Day and 1 day before I die I hope to celebrate my b-day there on New Years Eve. Love it Shane!!
thanks you for the video :) to go there is my biggest dream, but ive never had a chance to do it :) so im happy to see your video cause i can feel at least a little bit :)
@Cyraxas007 Thank you very much for watching. It's always nice showing people what a bit of America is like. Glad you enjoyed. New York City is awesome. I would never want to live there, but it's a great place to visit and spend some time.
hey shane..nice to meet u..like ur vlogs, i miss nyc, i used to live in the bronx. I now live in florida, and now that i live here i started doing vlogs lol..nyc is much more interesting,
Thank you so much. That was exactly what I was going to and what I had in mind when I recorded this video. I hoped to share the experience of what it is like being in New York City to those who have never been there.
By the way, I was checking out some of your celebrity impressions the other night and they are hilarious. Great work, keep it up. :)
Hi, just started watching your videos i live in miller place right on henry. I used to go hangout in the quarry but i still go biking there from time to time we should meet up there it would be cool to b in ur video. P.S. the workers dont care if you go in there as long as ur not riding dirtbikes and stuff...those punk kids ruin everything.
Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoy my videos. The workers may not care who goes in there, but I'm sure the owners do. That's what happened with me at the sod far. I had been going there just to hang out since 1987, the workers never cared that I was there. Then the owners found my videos and told me to stop trespassing. Sucks big time because now I can't go there anymore. I'm afraid it's the same deal with the quarry. So I haven't been back there again since either.
yea the sod farm is no good but the quarry is safe to go to. Just stay up on the hill you know like all around the border so as long as you dont go down the hill its ok. When was the last time you went back to the Quarry?
Okay, that's what I figured. As long as I stay up along the top rim I'm okay. That's really the only best place to be. I've been down inside and the view down there stinks. The view from the top rim is awesome. The last time I was there I think was April of 2008. I really need to go back.
Hey shane, thanks for the comment, great videos by the way, this one looks like you guys had a lot of fun lol. i wish i could vlog fun things like that instead of errands :\
it really amazes me the amount of money that stores and people in general spend on something they do not know the TRUE meaning of - i am sure you know what i mean Shane. I personally boycott it all but hey thats me - have a good weekend Shane - relax and enjoy bub - oh that Chicken parm you had looked great bub - lots o garlic just like it should be
This video was just phenomenal. I loved every bit of it. It really got me into the Christmas mood. I really hope I get to go to NYC this summer. I live in Rochester, so I should be able to. Thanks for posting this.
Why didn't you tell me Shane you were going into the city? I would have met up you guys for a hot cocoa! Great video and hope ya had a great time? Hey Mom and Dad!..Happy Holidays!!!!
Excellent video bro. I saw the whole thing and loved it all - looks like you all had a great time. I think that was the last time that I was there too - 1990. I definitely would have gotten a dirty water dog and a pretzel too - nothing like it. Very cool at all the sites you got to see - me and Hope loved the big piano part.
entertaining video and a friendly and close-knit family you have...thanks for sharing
the last time i went to NYC i spent 6 hours in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and then nearly fell asleep on a bench in Central Park while catching up on my Philosophy homework...
If your regular video blogs are 'episodes' in the life of Shane Jensen, this was The Shane Jensen Movie.. and I loved it.
Brooke gave me a laugh when she said "Hot Dogs are freakin' great"
on your third shot of the hot dogs, I paused the video, went to the kitchen and made two for my self. They were great.. This video was as well. I look forward to visiting New York City hopefully this year.
Great video! Too bad you didn't get a chance to ride some of the high rise elevators in the hotels, but at least you got a few rides in. It was funny seeing you on the LIRR, I take that Ronkonkoma train all the time when I go out to the Pine Barrens. So what do ya think of the M7s? You def made the right decision taking the Ronk Line, the Port Jeff line is slow as molasses! Also I'm sure you noticed alot of great shapes around the Deer Park area on the train.
This takes me back to when I went to NYC for a school trip! I went to lots of the same places, and saw Phantom of the Opera and Equus. Thanks for the walk down memory lane!
Awesome Shane! Glad you had a blast, now I've gotta get up to NYC again. I haven't been there since '05. When I go again I'll be sure to record it and share it with you.
man look at all those taxis! NYC must be a cool place to be. never been there, my school had a trip planned but i didn't want to go, instead i'm going to Seattle
Is that a Air Europa ad at 00:47? bit strange are they not just in Europe only? Great video once again!. I myself am off to NY tomorrow morning for a couple days, I really miss NY.
I miss NYC so much! I used to work in Manhattan a lot between 1999-2005. Dirty water dogs are the BEST! The video made me a little sad because I miss the city, especially dirty water dogs, cheese pizza, cheap shoe/clothes shopping, and late bar hours.
Hahaha... I'm sure we all have while walking around in the city or inside some place in the city like that. It's almost unavoidable sometimes. There are people with cameras EVERYWHERE. lol
"1990; you were 3" - Most ladies I know, hate it when their age is spouted about. So your sister was born in 1987 (If I've done my math right), in about 20 years, she won't be so happy that an extra 1,000 people know it's 2029 and she's 42. D'Oh! Big Oops!
Oh stop. She doesn't care, and most ladies I personally know don't even care. Heck, when my mom turned 60 she told everyone that she was going skydiving in honor of turning 60. My aunt called the local news paper and there was even a story about it. It's old fashioned for females in this day and age to make a stink about having their age known. Sure there are still those today who do not want their age known, but not as much anymore.
It's more a case of them 'not wanting to look their age' and so be mistaken for being younger without being they are trying to impress knowing their true age. It's a confidence booster for them. And even though the scenery in life has changed over the decades, what makes people happy and unhappy hasn't changed much at it's core, and the age thing still applies (not necessarily within the family, but when woman are around new people in their life).
What you are saying is true for a lot of woman out there, yeah. But not all of them. It all depends on the individual like with anything else. My mom and sister don't care. Even at 62 my mom has no problem with people knowing her age, and that's probably why my sister doesn't care either, from the example. I believe most of what you are saying has to do with a social peer pressure thing rather than an inward individual thing.
It's to do with youthful looks being a sign of a vibrant character full of life - & having people see u as youthful makes you feel good. True, that there is a fear factor thing in some women that, even if they look younger than they r, an ageist potential employer/partner may turn them away. Which is totally out of order, yet sadly does happen all to often. Any way, on a lighter note. U DID it again. LOL. U said your Mums age. ;-) Some ladies love being asked for I.D though. Ultimate compliment
Oh yeah, that was you. I couldn't remember who it was that said that. Hahahahaha.... I'm glad you saw it, I was wondering if the person I was talking about was going to see that. lol
You must have been like "WHOA, he mentioned my comment in a video!" lol Out of all the people there are, the chances I mention you or your comments in a video. hehe
What a fantastic vid, thanks for that Shane! I was in NYC in '85, Times Square was MUCH sleazier then, can't believe how much it's changed!!! Radio City Music Hall must have been staggering, what an amazing landmark!
hey shane , Thans for sharing this video, you have a great family :). I've learned alot of things about New York but i think it's too big and too much for me .. i like quiet places .. a big city is not really my style . Anyway take care and have a great Christmas :)
