  • VERY GOOD..

  • Good singing, HATE the actions though.. and the awful choreography.

  • Not bad at all for a high School production; nailing all those counter melodies, throughout these very modern chord changes is quite a challenge, but the full band entrance @ 1:17 and the transition @ 1:37 could have been a tad smoother. However I agree a bit w/ richardjduke's comment , in that you'll all do a better job at it once you're over 30 yrs old, and have ,well, experienced some of the themes of the musical in your own private lives. But keep it up and good luck!

  • For a high school production I'm pretty impressed. Sondheim's music is not easy to say the least and any high school that chooses a production by him is daring. Kudos to this cast!

  • I was expecting to be cringing and gasping in shock. For high school kids, it wasn't bad at all. Some of these kids might get to do it on Broadway someday. Cheers to them.

  • High school? Remarkably good! I heard phrases I've never heard before in all the years of all the professional productions I've seen and heard recordings of.

  • This is VERY well done. The choreography is nice, and good that its minimal. It makes sense without being there for the sake of having choreography. REALLY well done :)

  • I don't care how well they sing or how good the sets are or how they all hit their mark. It's not about how talented these kids are. This show is about adults, and not in the same way that "South Pacific" is about adults. These kids don't really know what this show is about. "Company" is perhaps the most important musical of the past 40 years, and it should be performed by adults. "Company" only really works when the performers actually know why they are singing what they are singing..

  • so painful. really is

  • @iamupforallfun Yeah - right!

  • Bravo and Brava!

  • Oh... and they look like penguins towards the end.

  • @BwayBaby1980 Geez - do you ever say anything nice? I've read all of your comments about these Company clips. Are you a seasoned Sondheim expert? Hmmm, you must be. After all, you ARE 15 years old, according to your profile stats.

  • Oh my god... I LOVE that set!

A really good rendition by the cast too!

  • oh my god i was there. fair lawn? i really loved that performance. thanks for posting~ i can't believe it's been half a decade

  • this isnt to shabby although the vocals needed to be alot tighter. its an ensemble peice so the belting notes from some of the girls should have been dropped as make the vocals sound messy. otherwise nice setting!

  • I am very impressed, sondhiem can be tough to learn, all the crazy conterpoint syncapation . You guys did such a nice job.

I see nothing wrong with teens doing this show.

  • Very good - VERY impressed!

  • AWESOME better than a college production i saw

  • I LOVE this musical. I love the lighting in this version! Great job!

  • nice lighting, better than some college even. nice covering the bobby's a# with the chorus. tempo is hurried, bobby lagged in some part but not his fault.

still, impressive for high school production.

  • wow that is so impressive for a high school, what high school is this?

  • Well done, but like "Follies," an interesting choice for a high school group to do.

  • we might b doin this 4 our musical this yr

i hope its as good as this

  • Not bad at all. I'm pretty impressed by the vocals, and instrumentals for a high school.

    Lighting looks good too.

  • Noooooo waaaayyyyyy I thought this was the broadway production until I read!!! It was nice!!

  • Fantastic! I love this show!

  • This is very, very, very good for a high school production. Well done!

Unlike others productions on YouTube, you captured the actual essence of the show. Not a cheap retake of it.

  • It looks so much different when I'm not staring at a script/board... I wish I could have seen this from the audience.

  • This year's show is using a Yamaha automated audio-board, so the operator "may" have a chance to lift his eyes up from the faders and actually view pieces of the musical! Actually, I think it's more interesting to watch the faders fly around by themselves [than looking at the stage]! {The board was also used 2 years ago for GRAND HOTEL. Programming it was a nightmare, though.}

  • I continue to be very impressed by the vids on your channel - just excellent. 5 stars.

  • This Bobby has a better voice than Raul Esparza. This is really nice. This lighting is very good and staging is pretty good too. Sound balance is excellent. Choreography is appropriately minimal, but I really don't get the little pitter-patter step. It seems really out of place with the number. GREAT JOB guys. I'm doing this show with a professional rep theatre right now, and overall, yours measures up pretty well.

  • better than Raul Esparza? please be quiet.

  • I said he has a better voice. Raul, however, brings a lot more than his voice to the party.

  • yeah, i get you now. Raul's vibrato is not my cup of tea. it's more of a "bleat".

  • @adcahela <3

  • are u kidding me?

raul esparza is amazing and this guy cant even compare

but i understand everyone has their own opion

    =]

  • Thanks for the sound props, I was board op for this show. First show running sound actually =P

  • That "little pitter-patter step" originated from the original Broadway production, just to let you know.

  • Wow.. you noticed!! We put those steps in, to simulate the OBC's 1970 performance: the best production that was EVER done. No revival has captured the warmth and "love" of the original.

  • I thought the steps were a strange choice until I read this comment. Is the original version available anywhere to see. The show tunes channel on cable plays some of the songs with Dean Jones, Charles Kimborough and Beth Howland, incredible.

  • As far as I know, there is not any video-record of the original 1970 production, however there IS a DVD called "Original Cast Album - Company," which is a mini-doc of the "making" of the audio album. I have it; it's very good. You can read about it by searching at amazon dot c o m.

There are some video-bootlegs floating around of some revivals, but none have the fuzzy-warmth of the original.

  • I am reading these comments and amazed how ignorant people can be. Just because Company is about adults, they think it can't be done by teens. What high school play other then Charlie Brown or Footloose or HSM doesn't have teens playing adults. It is called acting, duh! This number was done great and judging by it I would love to see the rest. I'm sure the bench looked great too.

  • This is pretty good for a High School production. Some people are expecting professionalism...my gosh this is one of Sondheim's toughest show. The fact that they did this is saying a lot.

  • This is great. Just love it.

  • what high school is this?

  • w w w . flhsmusicals . c o m

  • Moving lights? Great.

  • Oh, you noticed.!.!. Yeah - they add a nice bit of excitement to the set and help direct the audience's eyes to the right places!!! We've been using moving lights for the past 5 years. They can be a bitch to program.. but it's worth the time. They add the finishing touches, giving a nice visual -professionalism to the productions.

  • a high school should never have attempted this show

  • So you say!

  • theirs is better than the one on broadway.

  • I LIKE YOU!!

  • actors meh

    tech top notch : )

  • For a high school, pretty good.

  • this is absolutly amazing. The talent is wonderful but the tech side is something out of this world. The set is simplistic but cool. Stairs and platforms are not fun to make. And the lights... at my school we cant even dream of lights like that. They are amazing. Your light head must have died by the end of this show! GREAT SHOW!!!!

  • The lighting here is amazing, your stage manager must have had a blast. The levels on the set are fantastic too. I can't believe this is a high school show.

  • The lighting designer/board operator "called" the show. He aged TEN years by opening night!! I liked my set design too (cough, cough, {humble})!!! Most importantly, the cast was superb, as was the direction.

  • really just amazing, excellent job you guys!

  • very very impressive for high school. i like this.

  • amazing, everyone, amazing!!!

  • Wow! VERY impressive for a high school production! Great job!

  • Can't believe how you can put this together with HS students!

    Very impressed

  • I've heard its one of the most difficult Sondheim musicals to perform, and they did an amazing job, and i saw it in the west end london and the broadway production about 4 years later. pretty darn good

  • GREAT! And shame on all of you with mean and cruel comments, these are teens! Talented teens at that doing better than most community theaters.

  • Wow! :)

  • I would LOVE to have seen the whole production. VEry impressed. Much better production values than we were able to get at my high school. Most importantly, I love the fact that younger people are able to experience this show, and think about its important ideas about relationships. If I had heard and understood the song "Being Alive" when I was 17, my life would be different!

  • I'm sorry but Company is just way to complicated for a high school performance. Can any of these people really sing well together? It went WAY flat and Bobby keeps on singing through his nose.

On a good note the directing is fantastic. The set design is absolutely brilliant and the lighting is pretty interesting.

  • Why not a high school? Are your comments based only on the vocals? Did you see the other Company clips? What are your thoughts on the entire production? Sondheim shows are about telling the story. I saw the show and the story was told very well. I did not pay too much attention to the vocal quality of Bobby.

  • First of all.. Your comment is "absolutely brilliant," especially since I designed the set!! Don't be sorry if that's how you feel. I think that the show is not really complicated. The story-line is easy to follow, even though it's a medley of 5 or so independent "sketches." I hear minor pitch-misses, but nothing serious. Of course Bobby sings thru his nose. {Forgive me J., but Bobby weighs 140 lbs and 130 lbs of that is. . . . . . . . . . ?

  • Great job!!

    Regards from Barcelona (Spain):)

  • really well done. That is the best HS musical I have seen on youtube. you should be proud.

  • That's QUITE a compliment!! The cast & crew & director & staff thank you... A LOT!!

  • I'm impressed. there aren't enough decend quality high school musicals out there ... they did justice to Sondheim's 'Company' (from what i've seen so far)

  • This Opening # was WAYYYYYY too busy... too much spectacle...

  • Maybe for you.. but the show played to a typical HS audience, not COMPANY connoisseurs, so some "pizazz" was needed to grab their attention from the git-go.

  • I have read several of your comments about this HS's work in the past 1/2 hour. You don't seem to be happy. Are you getting enough sleep? Please go away.

  • I think that the fact that many more of the comments on this link are negative than on the links for Will Rogers, Cabaret and Grand Hotel is partially due to the fact that the recording of our shows was changed from tape to DVD after Company. And this isn't a knock towards WRF cabaret or Grand Hotel in the slightest, but to a neutral eye (and ear) that may be a big reason why. The performances are portrayed much more accurately on DVD.

  • Eh. Good for a HS production. Seen better.

  • Where?

  • The girls are holding the solo words far too long.

    Lots of missing parts.

The Bobby is a little too effeminate and falls a little flat sometimes. The movements on his solo aren't very defined and really awkward.

    The trio are very whiney.

Someone was listening to a revival too much. The not should be sustained where you all are spazzing out.

    Choreography isn't that necessary.

A good try, but not even good in comparison to other high schools I've seen.

  • Company is rarely done on the high school level. Where and how many have you seen?

"Listening to revival too much?" To which revival are you referring?

I like the way you worded it - "The Bobby." Very funny!!!

    He's straight!! Go figure??

Shall I criticize your text.. Okay, here goes:

    Trio IS, not ARE.

    THEY should not, not THE.

  • I've seen two other high schools do Company.

Either the 1995 Broadway or the 1996 London cast.

Just because he's straight doesn't mean he can't be effeminate.

I don't care if you criticize my text, it doesn't matter as much.

  • Yet, you've added this clip to your "favorites." Now I'm confused. :-{

  • I've favourited it so I can find it fast when I need examples and so I can reply to comments.

  • Matthew what other high school groups did Company? I saw your performance clips in your favorites list. Your shows look great and you have a lot of talent. However, your comments about a school and a theatre department that has the balls to do Company sound like some immature teen and not a young talent with a lot of promise in the performing arts. I saw that Company production and it was amazing. There is much more to a theatre production then holding a note for the proper duration.

  • I don't remember which school did one, it was a couple years ago, but a year and a half ago I saw HBHS/Academy of the Performing Art. My comments on this production were merely constructive criticism as I know MUCH about Company. If I wanted to be an immature teen, I'd say "ZOMGGG THT SUCKEDDDDD!!!". And duh, there is much more to a production then holding notes but when you are disregarding the proper time given to the note by the greatest composer in theatre history, it just shows some things.

  • Funny you mentioned the composer. One of his producers saw the show as well as Follies the year before and loved it. Sondheim personally congratulated the director for both of the productions. In addition, a student from Company sang "Ladies" for Sondheimn at a private party. Sondheim loved it.

  • What were they supposed to say? I tell people their shows were great all the time, when I don't mean it.

I'm just critiquing some flaws I saw musically and movement wise. I know this score like the back of my hand.

  • In regard to your response about being immature. I did not mean immature in a stupid way. You are very smart with a lot of talent from what I see in your clips. Sometimes teens that are very smart and talented tend to show their immaturity by being pompous and all knowing. They feel they have to police the world and make it better based upon their own life experiences. How old are you 17.

  • Then there are those who can't take constructive criticism.

  • It's a live performance not a studio recording. That's the best you can do? Jenny's quarter note was held for a 32nd note too long. The Vocal Minority does not exist anymore in the newly packaged score. By the way are you from the UK? Did you see the Donmar Warehouse production of Merrily. I read a lot of great things about it. Still think your comments are immature. Sorry. Just constructive criticism.

  • After the Donmar Company...I'm not going to talk about it.

If a performer can't take constructive criticism, they can get out of theatre. If you want to say more, message me.

  • May I quietly interject here... GUYS - KNOCK IT OFF, or the whole bunch of these comments will be removed by me! Like Merman said, "There's NO people like SHOW people!"

  • Actually was Irving Berlin. ;)

  • Wise-ass!!  ;-}

  • :):)

  • Well, technically Irving Berlin WROTE it, Ethel Mrman belted (said) it.

  • I noticed you posted your performance from Seussical the Musical. Have you ever performed in any Sondheim shows? I would love see the clips. Tell me something about your school. The quality looks great. Does the school have a website? I would also like to know where exactly in the Company # the rhythms were off. I have the full score. Just wondering.

  • You're detracting from the topic.

    Wasting my time.

    Google OCHSA.

Jenny dragged held the note out as a quarter note at bars 3 and 5. The Company(har har) joined in at bar 69, when it doesn't state they should. That may be due to the vocal ability of Bobby, so I understand. At bar 90, the husbands cut off too soon. There is the undeniable bars 103-123 and the vocal minority didn't come in at 141. Just some things.

  • BOTH OF YOU - stop the chit-chat in the comments. Send messages to each other so that "we" all don't have to put-up with this dribble. Man, it's never-ending, like reading "War & Peace!!"

  • The original production had 2 working elevators on stage. The production team clocked the time it took them to "deliver" the couples to their respective apartments.

There is a notation in the vocal score M103 which states "(+Pre-recorded tape)". The audience was mesmerized watching the elevators and not listening to what was being sung. Without the elevators that LO-O-O-O-O-NG, sustained note is just obnoxious and weird-sounding...and HELL to choreograph!

  • what's with the high-school-musical-theatre-attemptness of this? the "broadway hands" the crappy singing, no acting what so ever, i only got 2 minutes into the video and had enough. i've seen better high school performances than this, a billion times better, and i am NOT over-exaggerating.

  • Well, thanks for viewing the 2 minutes that you could "stomach!" Wow, since this production won a state-wide competition, there really must be horrible shit out there! I'm not bragging, but merely questioning how a panel of 60 theatre-savvy judges could have overlooked all the faults you listed. I'm especially interested in your "broadway hands" comment. Please explain so that I can tell the director never to attempt using that "hands" thing again.

  • Dear Mr Huggy,

Why all the anger and hate. I saw this show and it was wonderful. Leo is right. It won tons of awards. Infact, A close friend and producer of Sondheim sat in the audience and loved it. He also invited the student who sang "Ladies" to perform for Sondheim at a private party. The director turned on a new generation to Sondhiem instead of crap like Mama Mia etc... "and that's what is really about isn't it".

  • Is that how you perceived the comment - "all anger & hate?" I kind of thought of the words "stupidity & immaturity," but I didn't want to lower myself by writing at Huggy's level. Uhggg - now I just did! My-bad!!!

  • Dear Mr Huggy,

I think your user name of Mr. Huggy does not work. Huggy means someone who is welcoming and loving. Your harsh comments to a cast a high school students and a director who is devoted to theatre education is not a welcoming or loving person. Shame on you. Plesae change your user name.

  • Tee-hee... Perhaps "Huggy" also could mean "wrap arms around actor and squeeze, until every molecule of life has been crushed." Yeah... I'll go with THAT definition.

  • Good job but i would NEVER suggest a high school do this show. It's one of broadway's greatest & toughest shows.

  • With a great student-cast and sufficient rehearsals, as well as a thorough understanding of the characters, this show can be performed wonderfully. The key is.. doing your homework, researching every facet of the piece.

  • Wow. Say whatever you want, I gotta admire the school for putting on this show. I unfortunately have never gotten the chance to see it, but I'm a big fan of the music and if that was anything to go by, y'all did a great job, especially for a high school.

  • This is a noble and valiant effort at one of musical theatre's most difficult shows. There is a good reason you never see this show outside of the big city theatre complexes. It's just too difficult. Does that mean educational theatres should avoid it? NO WAY!! I directed CABARET last year where I teach, and although it was risk, it was a tremendous educational experience, and that's what it's all about, isn't it?

  • That tempo is almost cruel to everyone performing the song.

  • Hmmm, no one has ever commented on the tempo before. Was it cruel-fast or cruel-slow? The cast seemed comfortable as this pace. Why "almost?"

  • Cruel fast. "Almost" because they pulled it off, but it sounded like the band was on the verge of losing it at times. In some of the more complex sections, it's just seems like they would be better off at a slower tempo; part of it is taste. That is one of my few gripes with the current revival; they do this song too fast. The tempo at which the OBC did it allowed the song to really groove and pulse properly.

  • There was a cool humpy rhythm in the original, never quite duplicated by any subsequent cast or revival. You're right. I always liked that original style of bumping the volume every few words. I'd rather listen to the OBC CD than the revival, anytime. They were all "warm & fuzzy." Let's not even TALK about the current revival!!!!!

  • I love the revival.

  • I suppose that it's okay, as long as you do not try to follow any story-line, because it isn't demonstrated very well thru the songs.

  • ...and I agree with plastic hip...the director is doing these kids a HUGE service by exposing them to shows that have merit, and not just doing Oklahoma like most other high schools. Not that old standards are bad...you just have to evolve eventually.

  • People should really know what they are talking about before they comment. Sondheim's sometimes writes chords and melodies that are supposed to sound almost ugly. It makes the music interesting and not like every other show that gets cranked out. These kids do a GREAT job. They are holding their own parts which is extremely difficult to do with Sondheim.

  • I attend a high school whose productions range from "No,No, Nanette" to "Annie", and it is absolutely disgusting. This director should be thanked for educating teenagers about theatre that is effective and has some artistic value.

  • Great Lights!

  • I don't know if I already said it in this thread. but I just started re-listening to this. and some of the chords they are attempting to sing are making me cringe. No offense.

After Company and Follies.. I hope this director doesn't attempt SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE. For obvious reasons.

  • How would you feel about GRAND HOTEL? That's this year's show. I cannot wait to read your negative comments about it. Writing "no offense" really doesn't make your comment all right, no offense!

  • Musical theatre is NOT a choral concert. Sure, it's nice to have a "good" sound, but nailing telling the story, and acting the hell out of the parts is what makes a show great. Can't you see past your nose?

  • I love these videos, I just think its so bizzare that a high school did Company. Also, out of curiousity I'm betting that this production cut Tick Tock?

  • You win the bet! Hmmm, I wonder why it was cut. It wouldn't have been because of the Donna McKecknie-style dance. This school has incredible dancers. The 1995 B'way revival "abridged" the song. Subsequent productions have eliminated the song entirely. Now ya put the bug in my head... I'll ask the director.

  • Try "bizarre." Bizarre is good! It was a truly wonderful experience working with a small, smart, tight cast. By hell week, they were a "family," each actor helping the others to make sure that everything was perfect. They were a JOY.

  • Where is NEW YORK? The show is about people who cannot make REAL connections living in a city full of apartments stacked one on top of each other, with "another hundred people" coming up from the subway to the streets. Should have had a NYC Skyline or something. Otherwise, nice job!

  • Many scenes had the tops of the "cubes" lit [with rope lights], which gave the appearance of Manhattan-at-night. Of course you could give the school a thousand dollars so they could rent a backdrop! :-} Hey, I built an authentic replica of a NYC park bench. Don't I get two points for that? . . Thanks, and keep those comments coming. If you'd like - take a look at some other clips by searching "musical FLHS" ..

  • I always appreciate a "creative" answer to a design problem. But the FOLLIES set had a few extras...in the Loveland sequence, if I remember...so I think you probably could have found something to make "New York" another character in this show. Nitpicky, I know. But clearly your production was a cut above the rest, so why not try to raise the bar a little higher :-)

  • Apples and oranges, apples and oranges. Hmmm, now for some reason I'm hungry! Anyway, what's past is past. This year's show is Grand Hotel [jeepers!], and I'll try to be REALLY grand with my set, I promise!

Thanks for the dialog!! Keep those cards and letters coming in, folks!

  • I'm impressed with the production values -- great multilevel set and there must be 100 light cues in the opening number alone. Not real sure what the "twinkle lights" are about, though. It makes it look like a cruise-ship show.

  • Cruise-ship show. I never thought of that. That's funny!! The light-curtain looked good against the cubes when they lit. It's "artistic license." That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

  • These kids don't have a clue.

  • Let me say this a politely as possible. "You're a whack-job!"

  • Let me say this a politely as possible. Just because you were involved with the show does not make it good. When you post a clip of a show on a site like this expect honest opinion. Don't respond to everyone you don't agree with.

  • Granted, however this show won BEST MUSICAL in the state. These kids new exactly what they were doing.

  • Were u in this production?

  • Nah, I'm part of the technical staff, like scenic design, lighting assistant, sound, etc....

  • pretty sick!!! I wish my school did Sondheim shows.

  • I'm so thankful my school does no Sondheim. Most know kids singing/performing Sondheim can be a horrifying thing. And in a lot of cases, it is!

  • Absolutely amazing!

  • This is really pretty damn good. Where did you get all the money for the sets? They are always incredible.

  • This is WONDERFUL! I have seen proffesionals not do this well.

  • Why would a high school do Company? That's pretty ridiculous. The show is about the foibles of relationships, how marriage is more trouble than it's worth, and how romantic love is most likely a lie. It's ill-served by casting 15 year olds playing almost three times their age.

What's next, a high school doing Follies? THAT'S what I want to see... a bunch of children who can barely see over a steering wheel ham-fistedly plodding through a serious meditation on age and death!

  • Normally, I remove stupid comments, but I'm letting your's post for the world to read, point, and laugh at!

You ARE joking, right? You DO know that this school performed Follies, the year previous to Company, huh?

In the future, please feel free to comment about the performance-value of the clip, not whine about who should or should not do it. Take off your blinders, bud.

  • Oh yeah... AND your plot summary is wrong!

  • let me guess - you're 350 pounds - can't sing a note and still wonders why broadway hasn't called yet - but hey at least you can pick on high school productions - you're so cool! dumb mother fucker.

  • Thanks for sticking-up for this high school, and ALL schools that attempt quality productions! You replied under my post... but you're responding to kitschnsync - let's make that clear!! ;-}

  • New here, so I think I somehow deleted my own response to this post. Damn what a cheap shot. Think about all the high schools that persist in doing schlock like "The Music Man" and "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." I'm happier with ambition that might be a tad green than that typical crap. If these kids are that good now, they have lots of time to left to really rock. We all start somewhere, bro.

  • Damn I love Sondheim, and this is.. so ... awesome

I just LOVE the way everything overlays and becomes this wonderful harmonic, chaotic cacophony of chords and sounds <33

  • I love it!

My boyfriend is called Bob. He NEVER gets sick of hearing this...

  • nice set, ok acting, but you all sound pretty flat, and your orchestra has a hard time keeping up it seems.

  • Regarding the "flat" comment... Maybe it's not the singers. Perhaps the entire orchestra is sharp!

    Hey - just a joke!!

  • ps... Yes, outstanding!

I guess that's why the numerical score as rated in the Paper Mill evaluation judges' report was 13.75, 13 being perfect & 65 being dreadful.

  • Great production. Vocals were not flawless! After all, this is musical theatre, not a choral concert where 50 expressionlessly-faced kids form a straight line and sing perfect 4-part harmony. Huge detail-work was apparent in all areas of this show, from the non-high-school acting to the innovative set design, which allowed for seamless scene transitions. ..I saw it. Outstanding!

  • Hah. this is the school that beat my school in 2004 at the Rising Star. I'll admit it this production seems like it was the best of all the nominees. But Sondheim in HIGH SCHOOL is a major no-no for me. Especially two of his most adult shows COMPANY and FOLLIES. And I don't mean adult as in dirty.

Anyway this is a VERY difficult number. You guys did a good job. The chords weren't all there. But regardless I'm sure you guys did deserve all the awards 2004.

  • What was your show back on 2004?

It's interesting that everyone seems to judge a show by zeroing in on the execution of the musical numbers, vocally. Yes, it's important that the songs are sung well, but there is a lot more stuff, equally important to the music. Acting, choreography, orchestra, technical, and direction... the whole package, "makes" for an outstanding production.

    Thanks for the honest comments.

  • I've got an idea! Let's swap DVDs. I'd love to see your work. We're all so busy with our own productions that we don't have the opportunity to view other schools' shows.

Perhaps you might post some clips of your shows. Getting nominated means that they must be really great!

  • You just couldn't help yourself - you needed to 'find' some flaw, just to make yourself feel better.. You had to put in a zinger about the chords?

The sky is falling, the sky is falling.

  • These clips were posted to help the memory live on in the minds of the students that put their hearts and souls into this production. This is not the place for you to re-judge a show from 3 years ago. You are more than welcome to view these clips, but you seem like you are holding on to old feelings.

  • Hah, yes it is!

-From the rather large headed guy from the wedding scene

  • I was wondering one other thing. Why does the larger than average guy from the wedding scene have such a large head? It's enormous!!! Leo J. Revlis must have been the linch pin in the creation of this show. I can just tell by viewing this short scene that he had to be the most important factor in the show's overall success. I can also infer that Leo must have a very large and complex wardrobe. A genius must dress the part, after all.

  • Please.... write slower. I'm having a difficult time understanding you.

As for the wardrobe.... my closet door is practically bursting open from it's hinges, so that all 11 blue tees can escape.

  • You know what "they say..." - Large head . . large . . . . . errrrrrr . . . guy.

FYI.. One of my shirts fell apart. Now I only have ten left!

  • It's really nice to hear from you. I'm sorry about your shirt. I miss your jokes every day at rehearsal. You made the whole show experience bearable. I hope you can find someone else this year who will appreciate your humor as much as I did. You just don't get that kind of humor out here in Ohio.

  • This show has to be the greatest high school musical production of all time. I can almost feel the brilliance radiating off of that lead. He is such an incredible person. I just can't comprehend how those other actors could stand to be on the same stage with him without passing out from his powerful performance. What was his name anyway? He is certainly going to do great things with his life.

  • The lead was pure crap... or so I remember from when I did the show. A real pig!

  • I'm not a close friend, but I LOVED this production. Very impressive.

  • That was something.

    Boy.

  • That was fantastic. I love that show.

I need to ask you though...do you know how much your whole production ended up costing? Your set is amazing.

  • Roughly the price of a new Chrysler Sebring convertible.

  • ummm. the people who did this are pretty much geniuses.

  • Comments from close friends don't count... so we'll ignore this one!! HINT: At least make it "sound" legit next time!! We love to blush.

  • I agree. A musical about complex adult relationships acted out by high school students is most DEFINITELY brilliant!

  • WOW!! That was the Bomb! Perfect! The energy, the vocals, the staging, the set. A high school production? Impressive! This is the best rendition I have seen since the Broadway Revival, and that's coming from me a New York performer. Not that it makes a difference, but I know the business, and I know this show. So I am a good judge.
