He is from Arizona, not Arkansas. I guess the guy thought well Johnny Cash is from Arkansas, so Marty must be too.

Thanks for the clip! He was a great performer! I wonder... when he paused, who it was he was looking at. I know it was someone he knew. It's such a shame that he died so young. Does anyone know when his loving wife passed away? I hope his son and daughter live long and happy lives. They were truly blessed!

@RubyOfTheNight did you know he had a heart attack on stage and finished the show. he said he had a massive pain in his chest at the end of a song. he decided to finish the show and it caused trauma that probably shortened his life. he saw a doctor the next day and the doctor tore him a new one for continuing. he's one of my favorites too. we lost him too soon.

My father was a Charlie Rich fan. Sadly by the time he hit the scene, I was a staunch rock and roller. I just recently returned to country and 're-found' Marty Robbins. I'll give Charlie a listen though. Thanks!

I was so thrown off by that, I forgot to compliment you on the nice clip. I love seeing the trio together. It just wasnt the same in the later years without Bob Sykes, haha. Thanks for posting, its a great clip!
