  • Here and now I challenge all gays in Massachusetts or anywhere else to prove which Founding Fathers or Revolutionary Continental Soldiers supported gay rights! There were none. Now leave for Canada and Europe where you foppish faggots belong! God bless the US

  • Gays: an American disgrace. Did the patriots that died at Lexington and Concord die for the flag (yes) or a faggot rag (heck no)? They said no to gay King George III and the effeminates of old Europe. Gays are not true Americans.

  • If people knew history they would know that the creators of the constitution made it possible for courts to do this cause they knew it shouldn't be up to fickle mob rule to decide laws and things pertaining to rights.

  • It boggles my mind why some people don't understand that it is extremely dangerous to vote on a civil rights issue concerning a minority.

I don't think we voted to end slavery. Lincoln ended that. (Emancipation Proclamation). If Americans would've voted on the issue of Slavery back in the 1860's, it could be possible that America in 2009 could still have slaves.

A lot of American's didn't agree with ending slavery back then. But of course, ending it was the RIGHT thing to do.

  • The people of MASS ASS are just nuts!

  • so homos can't be happy or gay..lol with the word "Marriage" written on a piece of paper? Now tell me this is a cause to support and fight for? this is a complete mockery of our judicial system and rights, civil liberties as Americans

  • @carlindelco you are obviously ignorant and should research a topic before you shoot your mouth off. Marriage is more than a piece of paper as you put it. it is a secular, legal contract uniting 2 people and gives them rights such as visitation in a hospital, able to own property together, legal anywhere in the US, ect.

  • @charles3davy I think the priest say's " i now pronounce you man and wife" not " person and person, or husband and husband, or wife and wife. The only reason homos want marriage is so they can get benefits for their aids infected mate. Why is the left so bigoted? Leave American culture alone!! We won't change the meaning of the word gay that you stole from the American lexicon and you agree not to change our term Marriage sound fair?

  • @carlindelco Do i need to remind you that american goverment is secular so there is no priest in the marriage we are talking about just a long form you need to fill out. second as for the aids thing more women have aids then homosexuals. 3rd marriage is a contract not a cultural.

  • @charles3davy I know we are,but that doesn't exclude Christian values and culture. Why do we swear in our elected officials with a Holy Bible? More women have aids? hmm I mentioned that the homo community has the highest % of aids. 1) Are there NO homo women? 2) There are more straight women than homos so numerically speaking, that would not be surprising. Your rebuttal demonstrates typical lib illiteracy you confuse % of with # of . You need to wait til u r out of HS, please!! I win lol

  • @carlindelco actaully it does exclude christian values and if you have noticed religion is slowly but systematically being removed from all things state. As for women regardless of the % there are more women with aids. yet unlike most homosexauls they have recieved education in safe sex. So it seems if you want to take care of aids, get rid of women then most of the people with aids would be gone. So actaully i win :)

  • @charles3davy Oh God you are just thick headed aren't you? no clue.. did you even bother to read any of the founding fathers own words I mean like found in the Library of Congress and not some twisted gaytheist site with fake quotes? Really where did these special private classes take place? anyway the homos are alway hailed as being so so very smart, don't they read? it's a freaking world wide epidemic and they don't know about wearing condoms? oh but they speak fluent Farsi though? lmao

  • @carlindelco haha if you had done alittle more research you would have know first the founding fathers where prostant which means they dont dislike homosexauls as much as catholics do, second they had a good seperation of church and state and where more secular than we are today. Finally there are more cases of Aids and stds ammong straight people so it is the hereosexauls that need to be a little smarter

  • @charles3davy Man ur the one who needs to do more research.. What is it about. You don't have to dislike homos to say no. But I guess in your mind there are the same. Didn't your parent ever say NO to you? Does that mean they hate you? "a good separation of church and state" Really how was it then that the court house was allowed to be use for church services? Or that Ben Franklin instituted prayer before each session of Congress? There is a greater % of homos with aids. Do u understand? I win!

  • @carlindelco But there has to be a reason behind the no and as a yet people have not given me a valid reason why same sex marriage is wrong. Church and states are seperate and the few lapses that there are have been dissapearing. As for STDs in general no state with same sex marriage was on the top ten list of the highest cases of people with STDs per state (avert.org/std-statistics-america.htm ). So same sex marriage actaully helps prevent STDs from spreading. So i win.

  • @charles3davy No there doesn't You have to have a reason for the yes. for example people don't wake up in the morning and create a list of all the things there NOT going to do ad the reason why. They decide on what they are going to do and why. You can't offer a good reason to change America's culture or the meaning of a word. Marriage means the union of a man and a woman in matrimony. Church don't have to offer homo marriage. it's a sacrament states offer CU's That's all u need.

  • @carlindelco First of all i live in massachusetts and i know no churches have been forced to marry a homosexaul couple, but equal marriage rights do give them all the LEGAL protections of marriage. Also I am protestant and to us marriage is not a sacrament since jesus did not take part in it or say it was holy my religion's only sacraments are communion and baptism. Also if you could read you would know by now CU's only offer limited LEGAL protection.

  • @carlindelco finally you have yet to give a none religious reason for not allowing same sex marriage. As you know laws can only be made to prevent harm to the community. since you have yet to prove same sex marriage is wrong in any way except morally for some religions and there is a seperation of church and state i would have to say you need to come up with a slightly better arguement and sorry i took forever to respond i was VERY VERy busy writing my thesis paper for my masters degree.

  • @charles3davy I don't have to offer ANY reason for why YOU should be allowed to get something . It is behooved unto you to show the reason why anyone should change . DOH!! just like any laws there has to be a reason FOR it.. NOT a reason for why it shouldn't be LMAO u guys come on here acting like you are educated and are completely illiterate! Really " laws can only be made to prevent harm? Well you can get a secular CU so you have your solution already !. leave Marriage alone!

  • @carlindelco Actaully i am VERY educated (but my spelling is still terrible). also if you read a little bit you would realize "laws can only be made to prevent harm" was one of the principle ideas of the enlightment. the United states is based off the enlightment and our founding fathers where enlightment thinkers. Since gay marriage has no secular arguement against it our founding fathers would have supported it, the constitusion supports it because it is an enlightment document.

  • @charles3davy Yeah right? liberals are always making law and regulations to take away freedom and personal responsibility I don't want to live in a nanny state. Also who decides on what "harm" is today. words now can "harm" someones feelings I mean please they would NOT have supported that. I don't think the founders would have been on your side here, they would have seen it for what it is an affront to all that is Godly and Holy ! another thing there wasn't any "benis" back them like now

  • @charles3davy Oh yeah that's the reason.. visitation I'm sure.. what to see their aids infected partner? please..grow up

  • Ms. Lady on the other side of the street needs to realize that America is not a direct democracy! Representatives are voting in people's stead. That's what makes American a republic. Now, there are times when people can vote directly on issues, but those issues have to be approved by the representatives! Unconstitutional? I dont think so. The Constititution sets up an indirect democracy! If you want an direct democracy, move to Switzerland!

  • If this was a Republican state, this never would have stood a chance!

  • @ma7799 yah your right to bad there isnt a state where we can shove all those conservitive republicains then the rest of us wouldn't be in a ressesion.

  • hahaha the commentator is funny xD

    massachusetts is cool

in germany we have gay marriage for about six years or so already

  • Comment removed

  • you must realize that America is VERY sexually adolescent. The religious sects over here, teach their broods that anything dealing with sexual nature is dirty. ( a control tool ) it's why so many of us look up to Europe to see maturity about the human condition. Some day , not too distant we may catch up.

  • ROCK ON GAY MARRIAGE

  • It is just another excuse for spreading kinkiness everywhere! LOL

  • There's a suspenseful and inspirational new documentary coming out called "Saving Marriage" that chronicles the fight to keep gay marriage legal in Massachusetts. Click on the "Saving Marriage" link above to see the exciting trailer.

  • Information for those who think Massachusetts supports gay marriage. The people of Massachusetts has never supported gay marriage, although some residents may support gay rights. The est. 4.1 million registered voters never voted and supported homosexual marriage in Massachusetts! It was decided by the Massachusetts legislature not the registered voters . The majority of registered voters of Massachusetts DO NOT support gay marriage or believe there is such a thing.

  • don't for a moment believe this fool .. He make up statistics on his own. to push his bigotry further . HE and people like him are the VERY reason " letting the people vote " was not allowed. You don't VOTE on civil rights.Thats why we have a constitution to protect a minority from the tyranny of a Majority.

  • Americans around the country & all news media outlets around the world need to know the truth, and be more specific. The majority of Human beings on planet earth don't believe there is such a thing as homosexual marriage.

  • It was not unconstitutional for the legislature to vote down the amendment, despite what many people are saying. The way MA government was set up, the legislature in Constitutional Convention must vote on any citizen petition before it can be placed on a ballot. The legislature is free to vote "yes" or "no" on any issue brought before them by a citizen's petition. The legislature did exactly what it was permitted to by the constitution when it voted down the anti-gay marriage amendment.

  • yeah, a vote on how the minority can live the rest of their lives is very constitutional. i dont think so!
