@azerothblood It's a practice or religion (whatever you want to call it) that doesn't focus on a God, but on freeing oneself from suffering (meditation playes a big part in this). People of different faiths practice Buddhist Meditation. Since it does talk about reincarnation (if you get more involved with Buddhism), some people may classify it as a religion.

Hinduism is a fusion of many ancient and not so ancient religions and philosophies. It was an attempt to organize all of these Indian religions and philosophies, some of which are contradictory and conflict with each other. It is not correct to say that Hinduism is older than Judaism because Hinduism was still developing during the time of Muhammad. Buddhism and Jainism were also incorporated. "Hinduism" is a very poor word itself because the old Vedic Indian faiths were extremely different.

By the way, Thanksgiving is NOT an official Christian holiday. It's a North American tradition celebrating the bounty of harvest. While it's true that Christians use that holiday to specifically give thanks to God for His daily provisions, Thanksgiving isn't exclusively celebrated by Christians.
