omg THANK YOUUU! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!! You already helped me by telling me where to find magnets! These magnets will power what will be probably the future's vital power source that i will create soon!
the read/write arm sometimes need to be taken off with either a flathead screwdriver on the arm it self or if you turn the unit over, there might be a cover over the hole that connects the arm... (i've done quite a few myself so i know)
Im in USA. How much are these worth?? and is my scrapyard gonna know what I'm talking about, ya think? I bring them copper, aluminum and platinonium but never thought of this.
I've taken them out learned it from greenpowerscience on you tube. Different thicknesses and sizes. one set was just short of 1/8 inch thick. I crack one of them when they clicked though oh well theres more out there all the time.
@nikkj2 Don't remove them. The metal seems to focus the magnetic force. I noticed they were not as strong after they were removed. They also break really easily when remove3d.
Not to be an arse, but I cannot stand terrible camera work. I think I'm dizzy.

You can buy a pound of neodymium for $20.....
I just got one N52 (the highest) 2x2x2 block, for $90.
So strong, that it could suspend a paperclip, that was tied to a string 7 inches away

try unscrewing the platter stays from the motor hub then pull the platters out first, makes it a little easier to remove the spindle

Thanks for the video.
You can have fun with the brushless DC motor too. You need a controller for to run it but, you can use it for all kinds of neat projects.
