It’s been revealed that anime singer HIMEKA will be releasing her 1st album, “Himekanvas“, on November 30th 2011. The album will include “Hatenaki Michi“, the ending theme song for “Tegamibachi“, and the ending theme song for “Senkou no Night Raid“. This past summer, she held a live concert at the anime convention, “OTAKUTHON“, in Canada.

after reading the comments and researching a little, all I can say about her is holy shit! She won the national Japanese singing contest in the home country of Japan... That's enough for me to go nuts... Love her now =o

She's a example of perseverance. She really studied, practiced and learned what she knew she needed to know to go on her dreams. I wonder how many times she thought about giving up, but she continued believing that for every effort you make, there is always a reward. Congratulations Himeka, you are an inspiration for me!!! It's called LEARNING. She is originally Canadian, from Quebec to be more precise. Her first language was French. She learned English from watching Disney movies, then Japanese from watching anime (and learning it). If you didn't know her, she was a youtube singer. She became a pro from a contest. Congratulations! Now you know more about HIMEKA XP!

That girl is from Canada. Her dream was to sing animes songs in japan. That's the dream that she have reached. I really dont get your point that "She shouldn't sing in japanese"... Get out of your house, go see the real world, you can be interested in foreing countries cultures and try yourself at it, who knows, they might even fit you more than your own. That Girl is an example of what somebody can do with lots of will and determination. She's just amazing.

Well, not quite the same, most of my friends all have a lot of trouble with pronunciation, but it's a lot closer than, say, cantonese, korean or vietnamese.

You're right, there are some differences, but one you get the hang of it, it's pretty smooth! The hardest thing about japanese is that you have to ... invert .... the phrase.. @__@ THAT is confusing!
