I made 248 km/hr!!! in my stock C30 T5.... 2 persons inside and 2 medium suitecases on the Trunk..... when the 4th gear achieves the red zone, automatically the gear box shifts to the 5th. but be careful with the air pressure tires. teh backwards should be lowered other wise it bumps alot :S

@marcan14570 La Volvo D5 a l'avantage de pouvoir être reprogrammée à 225 cv aisément, sans autre modification que le chiptuning. Ayant eu une Alfa dans le passé je peux dire qu'elle avançait mais j'avais une essence, twin-spark.

Looks to be about in line with the factory claim of 6.7 secs 0-100 for the auto model. My understanding is that the C30 T5 is actually speed limited to 230kph and that unfettered it has a top speed of nearly 250kph. Funnily Volvo quote the top speed in their brochures as 247kph and don't mention the speed limiter. Interesting that it doesn't pick up 5th gear but in all likelihood, it's probably faster in 4th...5th being too overdrive to pull.

An '87 would have likely had the M46 with the electronic overdrive, so effectively 5 speeds, and it would have had fuel injection, I believe LH 2.2. One carb and 4 gears would have predominantly been a 140 thing. Either way, an '87 240 with a stick WILL hit 200 eventually, my 1990 does.

If you're smart enough to know a T5 can't hit 60MPH in 4 seconds i'd expect you to know it can't do 230MPH. I.e. the speedo is in KMPH... you 'tard.

The auto's only 0.5 secs slower to 60... Mines auto an does 0-60 in 6.8, the manuals apparantly do it in 6.3.

The auto's nicer to drive too, makes it more like a prestige motor rather than all out speed lol

@GioDjurovic Becuase at 4k he can cluth and shift to 5th and be excelerating much faster. Then ofcourse put it into overdrive (6th) and be on his way. Just not sure why he chose to cruise in forth and burn gas rather than using the higher gears for higher speeds not only excelerating faster but also saving gas! :)

@massimobestpalylol I got a c-30 also and you can ask the dealership if you want the computer system in your car *forgot what its called* But it shows your speed, gear, then you can also set up blue tooth and what not, I drive a standard so I didn't bother with it. When I am in 2nd gear going to red line I am already at 60 mph 3rd is like 90+ 4th i had to slow down heh

it's impossible that only 4 gear works beacause of speed limit. So for what this 5th gear exist? pointless. im afraid that something in your c30 can be broken. In c30 t5 is 6speed manual gearbox (max 240km/h) or 5sp auto (235 km/h).

oh god... man, the 5th works, but, as the car is limited to 230km/h there's no need for the 5th gear. The gearbox changes the gear at about 6.600rpm, but at 230km/h the 4th gear runs the engine at only 6.000rpm. Even if I change manually to the 5th gear, it will still run with a top speed of 230km/h, it will only take some more time to reach it.... It's obvious. think before comment please

The C30 only needs four gears to accelerate to 235 km/h because of the gear ratio. The fifth gear most probably works just fine and kicks in when he lightens up on the gas.

Mas cara... Se vc for pelos caras da concessionária vc num conhece o carro direito, tem q pegar o manual e ler ele inteiro.

Se vc perceber ele troca as marchas a 6.800... em quarta ele fica travado em 6mil. Acho que ele tem limitador de velocidade...

Pra desligar o DSTC é soh selecionar o mesmo no computador de bordo e depois segurar o botão "reset" quando acender a luz amarela do DSTC e aparecer no computador "DSTC desligado"aí ta feito.
