tone is a dumb excuse not to practise. you have to ALWAYS have the desire to practise and get better. otherwise you will never be good enough to play like this. you either want to or you dont.  better tone may change that in the short term, but not in the long term

oh and beginers are better off with a clean tone. that way its easier to hear your mistakes

Hey man, what settings do you use to get that good rock sound?

I'm a beginner and i can't figure out the right combination of settings to do that kind of tone.

I don't know why, but in my ears it sound out of tune in the verses, the tone is too low. Chorus and the rest sounds fine somehow.
