I've just recently watched Spies Like Us and I was like hey this is a funny actor, so I looked Chevy up on Wikipedia and I found a recent picture of him and that was just shocking that that was him, the guy from community. Hardly recodnisable :O It's sad that all the good and funny actors are all old or even dead. You know, Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi and of course Chevy to just name a few. TV was much better before I was born :(
I laughed more at Chevy's turn as the Time machine 1980s Hot Tub repair man then any Community episode. And I am a fan, mind you. The show is not funny for me, being only a VoTech person, and High School
@Sup3rMegaNerd How so, he was hilarious in that film, he basically stole it, except for Crispin Glover, who was the other half carrying the picture! haha
I love how these corporate hacks refer to normal characters as misfits. This is what you get if you were to put random strangers in a room, but maybe more attractive.
Wow! He used to have such a heavy ego. It doesn't show here. I mean this guy was mean. I'm glad he lightened down over the years. I actually like him. Liking him personally and his movies are two sesperate things. I love his movies. They are all classics in my eyes. Seems Like Old TImes and Vacation are the two I pick as personal favorites. I just watched Modern Problems. That one was awful however, I'm still quoting Dabny Colman.
@dormanbenton After reading about how his mother treated him his difficult behaviour is a lot more understandable to me. She woke him up and beat him in the middle of the night and used punishements like 10 whippings on the back of his legs a day for a week. His brother says she hated him. Chevy said he lived in "deathly fear" and will never forgive her. That kind of thing ruins a child's emotional development and makes it hard or even impossible to become a well adjusted adult.
@dormanbenton He talks about it in a 2007 biography. She also used to lock him in a closet for hours at a time, and his wife still can't keep a hairbrush in the house because they freak him out (she used them to beat him).

@eirikwegga I guess everybody has a story. :-/ That sounds pretty rough. Thanks for sharing. My curiosity has been sparked.

This is the most natural and witty Chevy interview. He doesn't come off smug or self-assured at all.
