Been awhile since u posted but i figure id try to help. That processor is your bottleneck. All but the canyon flight in 3dmark06 are somewhat depentant on the CPU. Which is why canyon flight always runs so much better. Either switch to a dual core over 3ghz or try and overclock to at least 3ghz
I use 2X ATI HD 3850 (512mb each graphics card) and i only scored 9000 without crossfire and 11000 with crossfire running. Can anyone tell me wats wrong becuase in the websites and review they said it reached 11000 without crossfire and 15000 with crossfire running???
Like my motherboard, I have 2 PCI-E slots. One runs at 16x and the other runs at 4x. I havent been able to test yet, But I will later today and post my score. And Btw you might be looking at the overall score (Including your CPU) the people who reviewed might have had a better CPU than you.

a single 4870 can get 20k+ easy it beats even the nividia 9800gx2 by a good margin, but ur single 8800 gt would do like half of that. nivida cards are good but ati is stepping up.
I think that those demos doesn't have optimized 3D engines, so they sucks on weaker graphic cards. I've got ~5600 points on AMD Athlon 5000+ (2x 2.599 GHz), RAM 2GB DDR2@MHz 667, Galaxy 8600 GT 256MB. No OCing, normal settings. But my friends PC is almost same, but he has 8400 GT OCed, and he got ~4300 score.

Yeahh i think its my memory, plus outdated mobo, and a weak CPU. people are getting about 13k with my setup all on default, and i get about 9500. Sparkey says he gets +20k.. LOL bullshit..? lol, no one can get 20k with settings on MAX running 1680X1050, especially with a single card. Other than that, this card preforms flawlessly in games like bioshock, and Half life games... Guess some people just like to boost.... =]

all I can think of is WOW.........WOW for my PC I get 20K+ for 3Dmark06 with just a Q6600 @ 3.2GHz & a single 8800GTS 512MB you need to tweak your computer better that score is abit low for your system you should be able to get 25K ish anyways good score still :)
id like to see some proof of that, I know that your not getting 20k+ with the stock setting in 3Dmark. A single 88Ultra only gets 15 - 16k when overclocked insanly with a C2E running 3.6 or higher. I have a q6600 and a single ATI3870(which is more powerful than a GTS) and its OC'ed and I get 13,800. So dont lie about results, no one likes that. And 4fps on the CPU test is great!! my q6600 oc'ed to 4.0Ghz only gets 2.9 - 3.4 fps.

I got more than 14.000 pts with a Q6600@3357Mhz(aircooled), a 8800GTX@630/1040Mhz, 4GB-RAM at 440Mhz, a P35-DS3P and 1TB Raid0. I only spent 1600€ for all the components. High power - moderate price!! Now I'm waiting for Crysis =)

it depends on your motherboard.
Like my motherboard, I have 2 PCI-E slots. One runs at 16x and the other runs at 4x. I havent been able to test yet, But I will later today and post my score. And Btw you might be looking at the overall score (Including your CPU) the people who reviewed might have had a better CPU than you.
