@buhtailo ...And yet the ascent of everest takes around 6-10 days... WHILE you're vertically 1 or 2 miles away from someone, and horizontally 5 miles away from any one else. @kermw10 is right. I'm no expert, but I think only around 90 people have ever reached the summit.

I am not sure how this is impressive. You did a Halo ooo big whoop. Yes doing a Halo jump would be cool, but it really isn't front page news anymore, you just need your skydiving licence to do it which you can get in one weekend. Everest really had nothing to do with this either. Base jumping off of Everest now that would be sweet.

@raidereddie the air up there is so thin that you would need a wing-suit with a huge surface area. the added weigh of the wing-suit would slow there ascent to the peak, so they would need more oxygen, which is more weight. past a certain point, it becomes physically impossible to carry any more weight up the mountain. (however, if we could modify our lungs to work at 100% efficiency, instead of 20%, we could do it ) blue whales lungs are 100% efficient. thats why they can stay under for hours :)

absolutely. but if your not rich, you cant skydive, then bungee jump, then bungee jump from a parachute(which has to be friggin awesome). i couldnt imagine anyone whos not rich if a club for this.

I know some people who flew hang gliders off Everest and that was no easy task let me tell you... But they did it and survived, had great flights and even soared for a while.
