My genesis controller has a really weird problem, It always thinks im pressing the down button. I cut the wire to the down button and it still doesn't work, any help?

I just wiped it, If you wanna get Fancy you could use 'Acetone' Or "methylated spirits"

Thanks a million repaired my Mega drive control pad, saved from the bin.

Now to fix my PS2 character moves without touching pad sometimes. That's more complicated because I bought a new pad for it :(.
