  • hi. why is this video not viewable anymore? Id love to see it again, please help me out here, it says, "video is set to private?

    thanks

  • allison mosshart is one of the sexiest women ever to walk on this planet. the music is just as captivating

  • hahaha! at 3:59- 3:53 it looks like she just falls

  • I thinka alison is so fucking sexyy with her hair all over the place with her sexy leather jacket on. girls in leather jackets are so fucking sexy

  • To add to the earlier discussion : Feeling and passion>>>>>> Technical ability. Anyone who gets hung up on the technical skills or abilities of an artist is missing the point of music.

  • Allison Mosshart is soooo damn sexy, i think I would break up with my girlfriend just for like 20 minutes of sinning with her her---sorry vicki :(

  • girls like Alison don't exist in the real world : (

  • i agree that some of their songs arent the most original and a bit dull, but they do have some very unique and interesting material on their album. they are all incredible musicians and its hard not to say its incredible. i kinda wish the raconteurs would form up again though id really like to see them live

  • I like what this dude Jack white did.... he changedto another projectthat is different from White Stripes and that will bring his creativity back... I don't like when guys push it with one band and it becomes stale..... Keep it up, Jack,,,,

  • love this, alot

  • thats mean !! im digging the song "cut like a bufgaloo" atm 2

  • damn good band...amazing song.

  • Uh...'cuz people like them? Why else?

  • led zeppelin influence!!! allison rules!

  • Hey fuck you he is talented.

    You're just an asshole. :p

who the fuck is Jack White anyways?

  • @Isaiasm2006 hes the drummer. hes usually a guitarist, and he is pretty amazzing. ceck out his other bands, the raconteurs and the white stripes

  • Allison just stole my heart!

  • its jack white buddy

  • A) it's Jack White

    B) He's revered more highly for his drumming abilities (his first instrument) amongst drummers than he is for his guitar playing abilities amongst guitarists.

  • yeah but he can play the fuck outta the guitar. i play guitar and id rather hear him than satriani or vai. i get wht youre sayin though

  • @TheAbsolutionHowl He is? Since when? He's a good drummer but he can't touch guys like Carey, Bozzio, Gadd, etc. As a guitarist, though, he's up there with the greats.

  • I actually agree with you on that, wholeheartedly. Unfortunately a lot of guitarists still hate him because they think his playing is "juvenile and simple."

I'm going to guess that standpoint comes from metalheads and people who hate garage rock and retro bands.

But he doesn't recieve nearly as much negativity from drummers about his drumming.

    It's unfortunate.

I think he's probably in the top 5 for current slide guitarists too. I can't wrap my head around some stuff he can do with a slide

  • yeah totally. He's not technically freakish like Vai or Satriani, but he puts all of his feeling and emotion into his playing, and that's what really matters. Technique, (while amazing to watch) is only half of it.

  • yeah, prolly my favorite on the album as well... i think its really cool that they are going into the studio in december to record another album... i am pretty excited about that... they said they want to have the second album out within a year of the first...

  • 54321fuckyou........ seriously fuck you you dont shit about guitar your dumb ass knows how to play guitar but you dont get it man Jack white is the premiere song writer of this generation so shove your guitar up your ass because you shouldnt be playing.. you just dont get it

  • Yo, everybody is entitled to their own opinion, I mean jack white is great n all but there are other musicians that would be on par with his compositions, great band btw

  • kinda reminds me of the doors

  • i'm in love with her...

  • I think this is the best track on the CD -- very primitive and raw.

  • LOLOL UTUBE FIGHTS

    Good song.

  • They are just AWESOME! I saw them three days ago and I'm still high... ;) Rock'n'Rooooolll!!

  • what kind of guitar is alisson playing ?

  • Jack White is an amazing pianist, guitarist, bassist, etc. However, the drums just aren't his forte.

  • ? watch forever my queen retard.

  • I have, idiot. Learn to respect opinions before you make an idiot out of yourself. If you think he's a good drummer, you've obviously never listened to any Dream Theater, Tool, or any jazz.

  • So because he doesn't drum like Danny Carey or Buddy Rich he's no good? You know nothing about music.

  • No, he doesn't drum with any technicality. THAT'S why he's not that good. Also, the song you referred me to was not "amazing". THAT'S why your opinion is of little value. You pretend to "know" music because you listen to a pop "supergroup" and you get defensive when someone has their own opinion. Open your mind, and ears, and maybe you'll become just that much less ignorant.

  • First of all jerk off, I never said anything was amazing. And again, because someone doesn't play with "technicality" doesn't mean they're not good. Music and technicality do not go hand-in-hand dumbass. He's not a technical guitar player, yet he's good right? Fuck you.

  • Um, musicality and technicality DO go hand-in-hand, idiot. I never said that he was NOT technically proficient with the guitar; he is. Thus he is an amazing guitar player. I expressed my opinion that he wasn't good on drums as his sense of rhythm and technicality is not par with his other fields of instrumental use. And, imho, it isn't. Then, you came off like complaining like an idiot. Respect other opinions rather than blurting out idiocy like you have chosen to do. Go ahead, bitch more

  • I will, If you think Jack White is a technical guitar player you're more delusional that I thought. Jack White is one of my favorite guitarists but calling him technical is just silly. And if you think music and technicality go together you must not like blues. Go study.

  • Must not like blues? Lol, I must laugh at you now. Jack is INCREDIBLY technical. If you doubt that, look at his jam with Jimmy Page on It Might Get Loud. Albeit, he isn't as technical as Paul Gilbert, but he is extremely gifted. His live renditions of Killing Floor, his improvised pieces on Death Letter, and his "controlled" improv. on Blue Veins at NPR are pinnacles of technical blues. Study that, genius.

  • Also, if you wish to became well a learned individual in blues mastery by Jack White, contrasting the ignorant hothead you are right now, actually go to a White Stripes/Raconteurs concert. More so on White Stripes' concerts, Jack White dabbles with untitled blues jams at the start/end of the concert. Also, in concert, his improvised arpeggios and segways into slide, mostly on Ball and Biscuit and Red Rain, are AMAZINGLY technical. (Continued)

  • Technicality in guitar playing often drains "feeling" out of a performance, is Jack White lacking feeling? NO. Would you say Joe Satriani's guitar playing has tons of feeling? NO!

  • Again, Jimi had "feeling" when he played, but was also quite technical. SRV, though up for debate to some, played with much "feeling" and still was technically learned. Buckethead is mostly without "feeling", but he is able to break out into intensely "emotional" pieces while maintaining technical mastery. Also, Paul Gilbert is able to control and express quite well. Same is true with Duane Allman. M.Ward is a modern example.

  • Also, a rarity, Jack White's rendition of Zeppelin's Since I've Been Loving You is a collage of raw emotion and astounding technical mastery. If calling Jack White technical "is just silly", I cringe at your influences. I assume you're one of those stupid blokes who discredit the technical skill of Jimi because of his sloppiness? Study up, young buck.

  • Breaking strings does NOT equate a lack in technicality. Missing strings serve a purpose if that's the desired sound. In jazz, you purposely break up chords to miss strings and play them as an "incomplete" arpeggio. Also playing in and out of key is actually a highly technical part of jazz (imho the most difficult music form) as long as you can move flawlessly into the next chord when it is noted. I am a guitarist as well and I pride myself in playing with "emotion" and with skill.

  • His drums are low, you could just step over them.

    Good song.

  • ÁÁÁÁÁÁÁÁÁ!!! i love Deano ! HE is beautiful ♥♥♥

  • I still like the raconteurs better, though they don't have a crazy hot chick for a lead guitarist.

  • She's not a lead guitarist, in fact, she's not a guitarist at all.

  • I want a girlfriend like Alison, she's just got something about her!

    She's unbelievable!

  • lol @ 2:41 the guys face haha >_> :o

  • =))

  • these guys are kick ass !!!! and alison is a hotty ;)

  • why is Jack White so damn beautiful?

  • 8-O

  • Hey dudes, i drum and sing....at the same time. Jack's a big influence. But lately i've been getting bored of not being able to move around while i play, which is why im taking up guitar.

If you anyone could help me out and just tell me the chord progression ( i think that's what it's called haha) of this song that would help me out a bunch. Thanks!

  • That's awesome!

  • This song doesn't really have a chord progression, they are playing E pretty much the whole time.

  • Yup. And, it's amazing. That's the beauty of music.

It doesn't have to be complex. Just good. And, this is most certainly that.

  • Yea, i think i sorrrta figured it out, i couldnt do that intro because my fingers aren't coordinated enough yet. Check out the cover its on my page.

  • dude, the guitar is like, a white falcon, minues everything else!

  • scary

  • The Kills are much better but Alison wrote this song which is why it's their best so far ;)

  • Alison also wrote Treat Me Like Your Mother.

  • Big thumbs up, I fully agree.

  • i didn't know that. hmm..?

well what does it mean to you??

  • what's the meaning of this song?

I read the lyrics but I'm confused on some parts.

  • powerful stuff

  • Comment removed

  • i LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • I love this song!!

  • i didn't realize how much alison sounds like patti smith in the beginning

  • if anybody knows what kind of guitar dean fertita is playing, please do tell :D

  • hey its called the gretsch falcon

  • Dean is not playing the guitar at any point in this? Do you mean Jack Lawrences? His guitar is a Gretsch G6134T-LTV White Penguin I'm pretty sure. Alisons is a gretsch bo diddley of some sort. I can't find the exact kind though. The whole bands collection of guitars in here are gretsch's, all white and gold, they are from a Professional Collection.

  • All the guitar were custom made for Jack White for the James Bond theme band.

  • oh shit i didnt even notice hes not playing guitar?? retard moment...lol ive been trying to find out what kind of guitar dean has i want something similar

  • It's a Gretsch! All of them are! They are about 2000 dollars wow

  • Your mum's ugly! Alison is fucking pretty as!

  • And you're an asshole, so now, we're square, right?

  • does anyone know what drumsticks he is using?

  • they have no markings on them. i caught one from the concert in boston. they are pretty light though...

  • he's using some kind of timpani mallet on this song, not sure the brand.

  • looks like theyre all high xD

  • To give them credit, they played Tuesday night, Wednesday afternoon and night all in LA, Thursday in Pamona and then this. Their tour has been pretty aggressive too and they don't just sit on a chair and play John Tesh style so they were probably a little exhausted by this night

  • coool looks like bo diddly's guitar!

  • That guitar is weird, its AWESOME!!!

  • so hot.

  • yes! I saw this the other night when it was on. amazing.

  • THe kid in the green shirt and the Dumb smile is fucking cute!

  • He is the Guitarist from Queens of the stone age

  • Yeah-Dean Fertita.

And Alison Mosshart from The Kills,

and Jack Lawrence from The Greenhornes and The Raconteurs..

And, of course, Jack White from The White Stripes and The Raconteurs.

  • ha cool all gretsch, sweet!

  • Kick ass! Allison is one of the best front women!

  • Saw them live. You have to see this band by the time you die. Fucking unreal.

  • sick guitar....

  • I really like this band

  • im not tha only that relazied that sweet

  • YAY! ok Allison Mosshart is amazing as their front chick. Dean Fertita is just awesome. Lil' Jack is sick. and i mean come on, Jack White, need i say more?

  • I had no idea Jack White plays drums too.

  • Jack white grew up playing the drums then converted to guitar

  • Been following them since the beginning and they continue to amaze me.

    :)

  • Thats bitchin they chose 2 "b-side" songs to play on national television instead of their 2 radio hits.

    TP

  • Oh no! what's the mainstream community going to do eh?

  • canadian eh?

  • their good

  • they are such an amazing live rock show. one of the best i've ever seen. def. go if you have a chance

  • why is this rated down? i admit that this song is not exactly high energy but its pretty chill.

  • hell ya

  • I was there!

  • thats one weird guitar she has...

  • does the drummer look like the lead singer from the white stripes

  • The drummer is Jack White (of The White Stripes and The Raconteurs).
