OBTW....I have seen a 283, 305, 307, 350LT1, 383, and a 400 Pontiac engine in a Mustang. Anymore info you care to share about speed, kid? Amuse me again, please.

The car has had the same bottom end for 4 seasons now. 2 bolt LT1 block, I beam Eagle rods, speed Pro Pistons, .30 over. I actually backed the shift points back to 6600 when racing in the 1/4. It does make power woo 6900 with the stock ported heads and intake. Going to the track next week for the first time with slicks so I'll post more then.
ok very nice. I will be having a similar shortblock setup and just am trying to make sure it will be able to take the RPM's. Lloyd Elliott is making me a cam that needs to be shifted at about 6800
Sounds wicked. I'm getting ready to run LT's and true duals on my LT1 in a couple weeks. Also, to the guy who said something about shifting past the redline. The redline on the tach is set for optimal power band on the stock cam. A GM 847 cam is much bigger than stock and needs to be wound quite a bit higher than the stock cam. It needs to go up to about 6500-6800rpm instead of 5700-6000rpm, like the stock one, to get its full potential.
His shifting is good. Listen to the Audio. The vid is a lil off thats why it looked like that. I never look at the RPM when I shift. Experienced over the years :) Nice take off though sounds great too
Your shifting like a moron....shift at red line not shift once you've stayed in there for a second or two because it's effect's aren't great....anyways awesome video and I will always love my firebird and camaro!

Stock crank with I beam rods and speed pro forged pistons. I shift the car at 6900. The car has had a 200 shot for the past two years and no issues.
