  • For us regular folks, are these good numbers or bad?

  • Why pull forward on the theoretical fork? Isn't a front end compressive force far more likely?

  • @hagenar

A front end impact would cause a backward force on the fork. Hitting a large bump like railroad tracks etc at speed (loading the bike downward on the bars) would force the fork forward, that's what I was testing.

  • How were you measuring those forces accurately?

The test didn't seem very controlled.

  • @scotty2hotty69 They are approximate loads based on my body weight and the length of the lever. The test was mainly done to see how the frame failed and to compare to steel frames I've tested in the past.

  • What brand frame?

  • @toenail37 It was a test frame I built to see how the joints would hold up.
