Only thing that needs improving is the singing. That violin is just, awesom, and you play the guitar great aswel, some of that picking is quite difficult.
David seems very talented. I also play piano and guitar by ear, and he seems to be quite good at it. It would've been better to get a cello and a viola at the same time also, helps enhance the "string" sound.
David did his thing by ear, which i'm sure you could accomplish as well, as the violin part is not overly complicated... it helps with the ear training

The only good part is the violinst, who is absolutely brilliant - he has perfect control of pitch and tone, shame the vocalist doesn't.
