I'm proud of you. I I am not overweight but my mother is and although she is beautiful she hates that she is overweight. And I don't think you did it in an unhealthy way. The you made it fit your lifestyle and your need and no one should be judging you for that.

Sorry, couldn't resist but counting calories is NOT the way to diet. You can eat 100 calories one apple and in a chocolate bar but you didn't get any vitamin or any other nutritions from it! So when you go back to eating normally you'll probably gain more weight since your body is probably in a 'save-mode' ...

Please, heed some of the advice here and take better care of yourself. 100 calories of candy is MUCH different than 100 calories of fruit or veggies. This makes me sad. You guys are being really offensive..-__- Alex is just explaining what worked for her and it does make sense, cutting back on portion sizes and exercising for over 2 hours a week is definitely going to help lose weight!! I totally agree with you and I say that saying over and over to myself. The heaviest I was was 168 and I'm 5'4 and3/4. I'm now 116. I'm never going to be big again. I lost my "food eating friends "when I lost weight. Because obviously they wasn't my real friends. She said this is what work for her,why get offended. She's not your doctor. Eat chlorella tablets. They are highly nutritious and will stave off appetite as your little cells have been fed what they like and are happy thus not craving anything. Chlorella is the first food on the planet know to man, a little expensive but definitely worth it ;)

There's a book by Gary Taubes (Good Calorie, Bad Calorie) That shows how the last 200 years of our 'careful studies' on nutrition are bunk. Most these defensive comments are stupid. She is just explaining what worked for her. AND she really isn't describing anything that's too unusual. She exercises for 30 minutes, 5 days a week, and cuts down on her portion sizes. That's completely healthy. I should do the same and Im sure I'd be 35lbs lighter too!

Most of the healthy stuff is low calorie, and nutritious. It's learning how to make it taste good, finding time to cook, and getting a good variety that makes it so hard. Not to mention, healthy food is expensive too.
I'm the same way. Except, I would rather drink water and just takin vitamin pills, so I can get my everyday nutrients. But my parents complain to me nonstop that I don't eat enough and they force food down my throat. I tell them I don't want anything greasy of fattening, or something with many calories and they just mock me and say "Oh she's on her diet" and they try to get to me by teasing me. Meanwhile I'm trying to maintain my weight.

well al i can say is that i do exactly what you do, lol. i have an underactive thyroid too. i dont eat during the day i have green tea in the morning and an apple during the day and a small light meal for dinner. i do weight watchers, i dont count calories. iv lost 60 pounds in 4 months! it was hard in the beginning but i got used to it. and! my boyfiend cant keep his hands off me!

drinking diet coke all the time is really bad for you. it has an artificial sweetener call aspartame. it is THE worst. you are better off drinking regular coke. aspartame is a major leading cause to cancer. it's hard to explain but look it up. don't drink anything diet! look at the ingredients and if it has aspartame do not drink it!

Eat less & exercise more. That's how to lose weight. Eat more of the good stuff and less of the bad. Get outdoors more and not inside. Treat yourself once in a while so you don't feel deprived. Drink less and sleep more. THAT'S HOW YOU LOSE WEIGHT.

I limit my daily calorie intake with fat free light yogurts. fruits..veggies..lean proteins.. HEALTHY stuff and Im melting away fat like crazy. And I feel great! I have also included daily workouts 2x's a day. (Jillian Michaels Dvds and a Mel B wkout Dvd) I honestly wouldnt drink any kind of diet or reg.soda..Replace soda with WATER!!! I try to drink close to a gallon of water a day. and Its not only good for your body but its good for your skin as well. (add fresh cucumbers or fresh lemons)

umm the artificial additives in diet cokes like sweetener and such actually make you retain the calories that you intake much longer than if you just had a plain 160 calorie coke can. so basically you're drinking a fat retention liquid. its always healthier to go the more natural route (though coke really isnt natural :p)

You guys are being really offensive..-__- Alex is just explaining what worked for her and it does make sense, cutting back on portion sizes and exercising for over 2 hours a week is definitely going to help lose weight!! It's hard for people who are used to big sugary and fatty meals to suddenly cut back and eat ONLY fruit and ONLY veggies and ONLY super low calorie things. I lost my "food eating friends "when I lost weight. Because obviously they wasn't my real friends. She said this is what work for her,why get offended. She's not your doctor. Eat chlorella tablets. They are highly nutritious and will stave off appetite as your little cells have been fed what they like and are happy thus not craving anything. Chlorella is the first food on the planet know to man, a little expensive but definitely worth it ;)

There's a book by Gary Taubes (Good Calorie, Bad Calorie) That shows how the last 200 years of our 'careful studies' on nutrition are bunk. Most these defensive comments are stupid. She is just explaining what worked for her. AND she really isn't describing anything that's too unusual. She exercises for 30 minutes, 5 days a week, and cuts down on her portion sizes. That's completely healthy. I should do the same and Im sure I'd be 35lbs lighter too!

Eating healthy with veggies, fruit, lean meat, and watching fat intake is a way to eat a good portion of food without getting a lot of calories. Most of the healthy stuff is low calorie, and nutritious. It's learning how to make it taste good, finding time to cook, and getting a good variety that makes it so hard. Not to mention, healthy food is expensive too.

I'm the same way. Except, I would rather drink water and just takin vitamin pills, so I can get my everyday nutrients. But my parents complain to me nonstop that I don't eat enough and they force food down my throat. I tell them I don't want anything greasy of fattening, or something with many calories and they just mock me and say "Oh she's on her diet" and they try to get to me by teasing me. Meanwhile I'm trying to maintain my weight.

well al i can say is that i do exactly what you do, lol. i have an underactive thyroid too. i dont eat during the day i have green tea in the morning and an apple during the day and a small light meal for dinner. i do weight watchers, i dont count calories. iv lost 60 pounds in 4 months! it was hard in the beginning but i got used to it. and! my boyfiend cant keep his hands off me!

I kind of understand what she means about not feeling comfortable being overweight. The fact that you're overweight or obese even doesn't mean that you desperately want to lose weight, one can be ok with being fat, but some people will never be happy like that and they will do whatever they feel is ok to shed the pounds. Just like you I have the kind of metabolism that can't keep weight off if I eat 3 healthy, normal portioned meals a day, unless I work out all the time. I recently lost 50Lbs in 6 months by drastically reducing my portions and woking out 3 times a week. I loathed being fat. The heart palpitations, aching knees and feet were too much to bear. Eat less & exercise more. That's how to lose weight. Eat more of the good stuff and less of the bad. Get outdoors more and not inside. Treat yourself once in a while so you don't feel deprived. Drink less and sleep more. THAT'S HOW YOU LOSE WEIGHT.
Also there's an old saying: Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper
Eat big at the start of your day and gradually pull back a bit as we need more food in the morning.

I limit my daily calorie intake with fat free light yogurts. fruits..veggies..lean proteins.. HEALTHY stuff and Im melting away fat like crazy. And I feel great! I have also included daily workouts 2x's a day. (Jillian Michaels Dvds and a Mel B wkout Dvd) I honestly wouldnt drink any kind of diet or reg.soda..Replace soda with WATER!!! I try to drink close to a gallon of water a day. and Its not only good for your body but its good for your skin as well. (add fresh cucumbers or fresh lemons)

umm the artificial additives in diet cokes like sweetener and such actually make you retain the calories that you intake much longer than if you just had a plain 160 calorie coke can. so basically you're drinking a fat retention liquid. its always healthier to go the more natural route (though coke really isnt natural :p)

p.s. you're beautiful! believe it and LIVE in it. your weight has no control over you. take care of your body and be healthy. i promise, coming from an once-anorexic, the sooner your can accept your body and who you are, the better of a person you can be. even if you just gave up diet coke you'd be so much better off.

this is the WORST diet/weight loss plan i have ever heard of. you're hurting your body whether you can tell or not. the best way to lose weight is to eat HEALTHY, not starve yourself by drinking a venti coffee and barely eating lunch. where are the fresh veggies/fruit and whole grains? and diet coke is liquid poison for your body. the aspartame and carbonation breaks down your bones and hurts your liver. trust me, you can do SO much better than this and feel/look better too. please get help.

I Love You! This is exactly how I feel everyday of my life! I'm seriously trying to lose weight but sometimes give up and have a portion of fish n chips but this video has really encouraged me! Thankyou alot x

hI!! Actualy, i'm newly on that kind of lifestyle to. Low calories and exercices every day. I need to talk about it to stay focus and if you now site, or maby you can help me sometimes, it will be fantastik cause i have thyroide problème ans i'm fat. And recently docteur told me than i have another problème with my uterus and theres a big chance that come from....the fat. Well i change and if you can tell me about the days it took you to loose that weght it will motivate me a bit!!! xoxo
